30/06/2025: Lovely place, food is great, the service in particular is fantastic. Came for a mid-sized event and the staff were absolutely brilliant and did a great job. Food quality and selection was very good

02/07/2025: Stunning hotel and grounds. Super clean, modern and comfy rooms. Great service and attention to detail and excellent food. Very close by to the city, local amenities and tourist attractions. A lovely spot for a relaxing break.

20/06/2025: Part of a group of 11 , arrived at 18h15, had no other choice than to take the most expensive menu ! The manager was unbelievably impolite and rough not allowing any discussion /option. We were all about to leave on the spot. The food was as the manager : rough and ready; partly frozen (shrimps bathing in oil) Fish (Hake fine but lying on large cubes of chorizo, uncooked potatoes gratin. This for a price of 70 euros pp ! A place to be avoided by all means !

14/06/2025: Restaurant is very beautiful but the food was on the minus side, although my prawn was very tasty and the fish cake was okay, my steak was good but half of the food served on the plate was caramelised onions and a small size steak on top of it with a tiny roast potato and another kind of mashed and fried potato, don’t know what it’s called, this steak is €47!!! my husband’s fish and chips meal: fish was bland, really bland even the salt and pepper couldn’t do much to save it, the fries was VERY little. The food let it down but the staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant will let me come back and try something different.

05/07/2025: Great pub serving their own brewed beers. Good and helpful service when you get to the front of the queue. Only one person serving when more were needed.

26/06/2025: Used to be one of my regular spots – lovely vibe and great music. Shame I ran into the ghosting barman himself! Caught him red-handed juggling seven girlfriends and two wives. A proper circus. Was kindly asked to leave – seems these bars aren’t too fond of voices that know too much. Still, what a ride! Won’t be back though, haha.

13/07/2025: As Italian people visiting Cork we have been to this restaurant as one of the best indicated on many sites. Fish was really fresh and fried squid were good however we took the seafood chowder and the sauce was too strong and completely covering the test of the fish. Prown were full of oil. The seebass with risotto, while the fish was fresh the risotto however was not eatable, overcook, too salty; the type of rise used was for boiled rice not for risotto. It was missing in the preparation all the basic steps requied in a risotto receipt. In both Seafood chowder and seebass threwere musselss with the shells however not a plate or a wet towel has been provided to leavethe empty shells and to clean the hands as other restaurant does. Staff was nice and professionall however the food is not worthed the money.

02/07/2025: If you are looking for a good vegetarian meal, this is the place to visit. I have tasted a lot of different falafel, in a lot of different places around Europe, and this must be one of the best ones I've had. Good service and good food!

06/07/2025: Best Beamish around, live music every night and exactly what you’d expect from a proper Irish pub. Went here both nights of our visit and the staff were spot on. Met and chatted to people from all over the globe and isn’t that what being in a pub is all about.
