21/04/2025: Había querido probar este lugar durante tanto tiempo después de haber leído todas las críticas favorables, pero será mi única y única vez. Pedido curry de ternera, solo un gran tazón de arroz pegajoso, un cucharón lleno de curry gloop con unas cuantas zanahorias con unas rodajas de carne de ternera hervida grasa echar, sin sabor en absoluto. Mi hermana estaba igualmente decepcionada con su plato, mi consejo es evitar.

30/03/2025: I met my brother for a drink (both of us on non-alcoholic stuff after work.) I was going through a lot with a recent house move, a lot of stress, and thinking a lot about a friend of mine with a disability who died in his thirties and how he'd missed out on all the opportunities I'd been given. Of course I was a bit emotional (not "tired and emotional" just welling up and asking my brother to give me a moment.) A "friendly" woman there thought I was crying to the music. Not the only story of adventure over two or three (non-alcoholic drinks) in there that night.

20/04/2025: Good food! And I loved the Syrian Coffee. It was my first time trying Syrian food and it makes me sad there are no Syrian restaurants where I’m from.

12/04/2025: The best place for authentic Syrian food, Syrian kebbeh meal is a must to try also the chicken brainy is really delicious. The chef and are really lovely and the service is 10/10

13/05/2025: It's honestly very disappointing to have to leave a 2 star review here - Have been a regular customer (actually 2 of us in the car..) for months, coming probably 4 times minimum per week. Have recommended the place to countless friends. But lately the standard has dropped - last 3 occasions the coffees both hot and iced have been bland by previous standards. However the most frustrating part (and also a kick in the teeth) is that the squid loyalty which was already at 10 coffees (much higher than competitor's including bean and leaf who are right down the street and only require 7) is now increased to 12! How the management think that 12 coffees to earn one free is acceptable is outrageous - you're only affecting those who were loyal and supported you early on in the first place. Out of principle you'll be losing our custom

06/05/2025: I was walking around my hotel and I went into Paladar to have a wine, the atmosphere from the street was so nice and I couldn't resist it. 😅 The service was excellent. I didn't plan to eat anything, but finally I ordered paõ de queijo (cheese bread) with pulled pork, the combination was delicious! I highly recommend this place.

08/04/2025: The best restaurant in Cork Wonderful staff who are so courteous and kind to everyone who comes through the door Food & choice on menu 20/10 would highly recommend And if you haven't time to sit down there is also lots of delicious takeaway options which I have tried on different occasions and again beautiful tasty food Its spotlessly clean & no matter what time of the year Mileva always has the restaurant decorated elegantly to match the season Mileva Isabelle Angela are a great team and a wonderful advertisement for the restaurant business in Ireland

06/05/2025: We really enjoyed our stay here. We visited for 3 nights and the beds were comfy, there was a fridge in the room and the bathroom was very spacious. The grounds are lovely and we went to the fairy trail and played in the playground with our little girl. It was easy to get Bottled water to make bottles which made life easier. Breakfast in the mornings was absolutely class We loved it! The breakfast staff were top class! The rooms were cleaned daily and staff very friendly. We went to the swimming pool at the spa which was quite cold for a baby (26 degrees) and there weren't many facilities for baby changing. I asked the staff could my husband take my daughter and they said that only facilities were in the women's (this was a mistake on their part as there are facilities in the men's too) The only thing i didn't enjoy was our restaurant experience in Amber. I would have expected better service from a restaurant within a 5* hotel.

06/05/2025: The rooms were luxurious, spacious and clean. My wife and I stayed over night for a wedding. It was a nice venue with nice food. My wife is coeliac (gluten free) so she notified staff of this. 30mins after finishing the meal she was throwing it all back up, having had to run to the bathroom. She spent the whole night in bed feeling unwell and missing our friend's wedding. Something must have been cross-contaminated or not prepared gluten free. I spoke to a member of staff that night to log the issue. On check out there was no mention of it so I had to raise it. The duty manager advised that all processes were followed and that it often happens at weddings with so many meals being served and it was just unfortunate. He seemed to be just trying to fob it off - i.e. these things happen and it's unfortunate. I think if the food you serve is often causing people to be sick, you should revisit your processes. We have never had issues at other weddings and often go out for food. The duty manager eventually offered us complimentary afternoon tea and made sure he had our details and would email us in a day or two. We have not received an email in the month since then. ___________________________________________________________ Update: The Guest Relations Manager contacted me the day after posting this review. She was very apologetic and could see in the hotel’s notes that there had been a mix up in handling this issue. She assured me that they take dietary requirements seriously and that it should not have happened my wife. We were offered a complimentary experience to make up for the error and were impressed with how the Guest Relations Manager handled it. She did not prompt me to change the review - her intention seemed to be that we were looked after. She also asked how my wife was since which was appreciated.

25/04/2025: This fish and chips place is absolutely delicious! The fish is perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with no fishy smell at all. The chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy inside—just the way they should be. Paired with their sauces, it’s simply amazing. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients and the care they put into every dish. One bite and I couldn’t stop. Highly recommended!

25/04/2025: Había escrito una crítica brillante de este restaurante dos días, ya que los 7 de nosotros habíamos disfrutado mucho de nuestra comida y la dueña parecía encantadora cuando le preguntó si todo estaba bien y le dijimos que todo estaba delicioso. Hoy sin embargo fue diferente - pedimos 3 lasañas - dos salieron como se esperaba, crujiente capa superior de queso, salsa blanca, boloñesa, pasta. Al mío, por otro lado, le faltaba la capa superior. La capa superior era solo boloñesa - ninguna capa superior crujiente en absoluto. Era como si la capa superior se hubiera quemado en el horno, así que se la quitaron y la sirvieron. Le expliqué amablemente a la camarera que a la mía le faltaba una de las partes más bonitas de lasaña. Llevó el plato a la cocina y el dueño volvió con él. Ella me puso delante y me contradijo diciendo que la mía era exactamente la misma que las otras dos que todos podíamos ver claramente que no era. Ella procedió a tomar mi tenedor y tirar de él a través del plato mostrándome la pasta que iba a través del plato. Le expliqué de nuevo que a la mía claramente le faltaba la capa superior de queso, etc., que para mí es una de las partes más agradables, pero ella en voz alta me contradijo de nuevo y volvió a la cocina diciendo que si quieres que se caliente más házmelo saber... Me comí la lasaña ya que todos los demás tenían su comida y tenía hambre, pero en retrospectiva debería haberla devuelto y no pagado por ella. Parece que la dueña es encantadora y amable una vez que todo está bien con los platos, pero si te quejas ella no le gusta, te contradecirá y no tratará de rectificar el problema. Qué pena. No regresaremos debido a la forma en que se manejó el problema. Admite cuando el cliente tiene razón cuando puedes verlo claramente por ti mismo y obviamente saber que eres el chef y entonces es posible que no tengas una mala crítica en el futuro. Qué pena.
