02/12/2024: If we could give Jacques 10* we would. Such great service, wine to die for, and the food was just superb 👌. 3 of us shared 5 small plates and to finish a cheese board and I can't recommend this place enough.

16/12/2024: A bar in the shape of a super cozy living room. The bartender is pleasant and has time for his guests even though he is there alone. Important rule in this pub, no telephone in the pub, but talk to each other. The bartender speaks to a guest when he is calling in the pub, very funny and this surprised guest politely goes outside to make the call! In short, highly recommended and you simply have to visit this pub because this pub is nice and different, delicious!

28/11/2024: Always busy and bustling from morning till late in the afternoon so finding a place can be a bit of a struggle. The food itself is very good especially the sandwiches and smoothies it explains why its so popular in Bishopstown but then again there isn't a lot of competition around. Staff are okay, they will help you if you need anything otherwise leave you be. However, cleanliness is a bit lacking, there can be food crumbs all over the table and benches.

29/11/2024: Brunch cooked with love! My partner and I visited Café Jane this past Sunday, a destination spot after reading reviews of the café. We ordered the ham and cheese omelet, and a side of toast and jam – but seeing other guests enjoying the pancakes, we ordered those too and were delighted by their fluffiness and flavor. From an outsider’s perspective, Café Jane seems to be a center of the community – serving elevated home-cooked freshness. Jane cooked the food for us herself, and her son (we believe) was our kind and gentle host. This visit was made all the more special for me, as my mother’s name is Jane and we are visiting Ireland on the 30th anniversary-year of her death – a trip she and I had always intended taking, to learn more about her/our ancestors. Eating at Café Jane, enjoying the scrumptious food in a warm and laid-back atmosphere, I know my mother would have loved this café and this food.

02/12/2024: I ate here last week. Staff were friendly but left us sitting for 20 minutes before we could order and it wasn’t busy in thee. They kept forgetting what drinks were ordered and came back 3 times to ask. Kids burger meal was fine and the ice cream. I ordered lasagna and garlic bread, garlic bread was so hard, pretty much stale and had no taste of garlic off it. The lasagna had no flavor from it, tasted like a cheap sauce and was mushy like it was just reheated in the microwave. My partner ordered a burger and chips which cost 18.50 and was a tiny bit bigger than the kids one. We left here still hungry after spending over 50 ero for the 3 of us. Definitely won’t be back.

24/11/2024: Make sure you have room cause everything was delicious. My first time there the staff were so warm and welcoming great options on the menu I'm vegetarian there was lots of choice and my family had lots of meat opinions will definitely return

07/11/2024: Lovely salads, lovely produce, unfriendly staff sometimes, I hadn't been for a few weeks and was taking maybe 20 seconds to pick my salads - there was no one waiting behind me and the person getting the salads for me sighed and I felt rushed like I was irritating her... is this not her job? I have always worked in hospitality - yes it can be difficult /repetitive but I also had a difficult morning. Please allow me a minute to choose from the great salad without expressing how inconvenient I am as a customer and interrupting your afternoon. Some people wouldn't mind or notice but it definitely made me think I would just go somewhere else next time. EDIT: I returned here after not going for a while and can confirm the produce is still always excellent and the staff were actually lovely, really friendly and helpful! We all have our off days but today wasn't one of them for loving salads - 10/10

14/12/2024: Was here last night with lovely Ursula and some of our great friends for dinner Super ambience here and nice buzz. The food was superb. Everyone enjoyed it immensely. I had sizzling prawns and they were great! We were attended to by the lovely Deirdre. Overall a smashing experience. Highly recommended

09/12/2024: My partner and I decided to meet some friends that we had not met in a while for dinner. I spent a considerable amount of time looking at reviews and menus online of other restaurants around Cork. Many other restaurants were fully booked as I had left it I little too late! Quinlan’s had a table available so we decided to give it ago. We weren’t going in completely blind as we had all heard of the great food and experiences others had had in their killarney restaurants. We showed up ten minutes before our booking and it was quite busy but nonetheless we were seated immediately at a lovely snug and private booth before being handed menus and having the specials explained to us. The staff were timely and helpful. Between us we had scallops and fish cakes to start both of which were lovely. For our mains we enjoyed tuna steak, Atlantic prawns, and salmon, again all of which were incredible. To finish we had brownies and sticky toffee pudding which were both lovely ( Even I, who often don’t enjoy sweet treats scoffed down the dessert). The service was brilliant. It was quick and friendly. We were often checked upon and anything we needed or asked for was supplied. We were not hurried to leave and we sat and enjoyed the last remnants of the lovely bottle of white wine we shared. All in all, we all had a wonderful time. I would thoroughly implore anybody who enjoys seafood to give a visit here. I will most definitely be returning and advising others looking for dinner to consider Quinlan’s!

20/11/2024: There is nothing I didn’t like about the place. The atmosphere was amazing, one of the best service it the city and the food was great. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough 10/10
