06/09/2025: Nice place with Nice Pizzas, big selection of alcoholic drinks, could have a few more non alcoholic options

27/08/2025: The terrace is a bit shabby, but cool. When you walk in, you think everything's cool, but when you look closely, the chairs are old and battered, the armchairs are very broken and dirty, etc. But it's worth coming in and sitting down to eat and drink. Highly recommended.

03/10/2025: Delicious food, especially the hake nanban don, a type of pork, rice, and soup. The service was also very friendly and fast.

01/10/2025: Such a great experience last night. I brought my fiancé here for her birthday. Honestly, the nicest food I’ve had all year. Both dinners and desserts were an experience. Not only that but the staff were incredibly friendly and a really relaxed atmosphere, you can tell they put a lot of thought into the surroundings. 10/10, I can’t wait to come back for my birthday.

30/09/2025: Perfect cafe for a quick bite or brunch. Coffee they serve is perfect. We also got mango smoothie which tasted heavenly. The sandwiches we ordered were absolutely tasty as well.

I had the wine and tasting menu it was delicious the pasta is to die for it was so good and after doing the wine tasting I realised I loved orange wine which is something I never tried. I tried new foods like duck liver and polenta and I was worried when I first tried it but it was so good. The pasta sauce oh my god I want a jar of it.

01/10/2025: A little gem in Cork. The ingredients and dishes are very good and beautifully presented. The waiters are friendly and helpful. The owner, Mirko, is a friendly person who's easy to talk to. If you're visiting during high season or on weekends, I recommend booking a few days in advance.

20/09/2025: Toxic work environment for waiting staff on display during our most recent visit. Food was lovely. 5 stars for our young female waitress. Overall 4 for service, due to her colleague. Our waitress was spot on, every dietary request was correct. A young friendly absolute lady, knowledgeable on the menu, attentive. Great at her job. An older male waiter (with possibly an auz accent) seemed to consider himself humorous but was actually obnoxious twice in comments. The overall 1 star rating is due to the female supervisor, during our visit on August 23rd 2025. She walked around with a pompous attitude. Not once did she check in to ask any table of customers if their food/service was satisfactory. She scolded our fabulous waitress for going to the rest room. This was done at the bar counter, in full earshot of a room of customers. Asking loudly and harshly, 'are you sick, you have to tell me if your sick, I've never seen someone go to the toilet so much during a shift... '. As noted, this waitress was attentive, friendly, efficient. The supervisors behaviour was totally unacceptable and an absolute disgrace, showing the toxic work environment for the waiting staff. In my opinion, a power hungry supervisor, an excuse for a human, more concerned with herself than the staff, customers or reputation of the White Horse. The waitress was visibly upset, trying to hide her unease for the rest of our time there. White Horse owner(s), please take effective efficient action. A supervisor should have at the very least basic customer service skills and basic human decency. Tolerating this toxicity, will not only damage your reputation and business, but more so the health of your employees, to whom you owe a duty of care. We have had many positive experiences through the years, so hope this feedback is taken seriously and is actioned.

13/09/2025: Tried here while staying at a nearby hotel, short taxi ride there, food was decent, not a lot of atmosphere in the place,however the biggest problem was, asking the waitress to order us a taxi for return to hotel to be greeted with a blunt NO WE CANT DO THAT,no further info offered, really stuck, strange place, not able to walk to hotel, no help, until a kind younger person ( heard our dilemma & came to our rescue )offered us a phone number, rang number,taxi arrived problem solved.THANK YOU NOTfir your help,maybe an A4 note at bar with a couple of taxi nos. might help,terrible service & really spoilt a pleasant evening

26/09/2025: I booked in a massive gang of us for a pre wedding celebration and was just so impressed with the food and the service and the atmosphere and really every aspect of the night. One of our guests has missed their train and was running late which was no bother to the attentive staff who served him as soon as he arrived. They also looked after the one child in attendance. Really, everything kind of went perfectly and I would highly highly recommend this spot for parties or nights out or anything in between.

21/09/2025: Honestly, we're used to Angus or Wagyu T-bones, but we were disappointed with their T-bones.... hard to cut, to the point of having to use a second knife... cooked well, but not worth the price of 45 euros.... The salmon was good, as was the dessert and the cocktails. The coffee was too acidic for my taste. It's rare to be disappointed....

16/09/2025: We came for a guiness and they didn’t server it to us because we simply wore tracksuit and not jeans.

03/10/2025: I ordered chicken grill in uber eats. I received the chicken kebab and I call the store they told me this is chicken grill. Very disappointed :( shared picture for reference

04/08/2025: Ordered two pizzas on Deliveroo. N'duja is fine, though every second slice has the n'duja which was a bit scabby. The Bianco pizza has potato on it that is massively undercooked. We've had to pick the potato off as a result which was wasteful. Other issue is that the bases here aren't crispy at all. It's very gloopy and doughy. Think they're banging these out without properly cooking. Major shame as the quality of the toppings (bar the raw potato) are really good.

04/08/2025: Very busy pizza kitchen at the Franciscan Well Brewery. Lively and busy atmosphere when visited midweek in summer. Very good pizza with great flavoursone toppings, but you have to get into a queue to order.

10/10/2025: We did a breakfast and dinner package and it couldn't have been nicer. Delightful food, room and all the staff were lovely during our stay.

09/10/2025: Love this place. Love the local ingredients, nice healthy freshly prepared food. Service is attentive. Nice place to sit in. The only thing I’m not mad on is the coffee, it is very dark and strong coffee. Overall I am never disappointed coming here!
