The best restaurants in Donegal

20/05/2026: Ireland's most northerly Pub and well worth the trip up. Great staff, delicious well priced food with plenty of choice and a warm friendly welcome. Don't pass it by after you have visited Malin Head.

25/05/2026: Was here a few weeks ago for my sister's hen party and the staff were beyond accommodating, there was a large group of us and we were delayed in making our reservation however that was no issue to the lovely staff who had our table ready when we arrived. Food was wonderful as always, and the staff were lovely, would recommend for any small or large groups in the area, we hope to be back soon!

08/05/2026: We had a very nice dinner here. The waitstaff were super friendly and helpful. We got the salmon and the chicken supreme. Both were fantastic. We also got ice cream and the apple crumble for dessert. Again, both were fantastic. Also as a side note, they have great taste in music here. Do yourself a favor and go eat here.

05/07/2026: ordered 2 steak dinners and the server very odd and no chat at all steak was very poor quality and so chewy especially for medium beef cut chips were tasteless and veg was beyond hard gravy was very nice thats about it

25/05/2026: Some of the best food I've ever had. You can tell that each dish is professionally prepared with love and care by a talented chef. Warm and inviting atmosphere and great pub attached as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great night out and wonderful multi course meal.

17/07/2026: Only tried here a few weeks ago and had the pizza every week since and think about it all the time lol. Chips were a bit on the hard side would prefer them softer, but only had them once so can't really judge. Staff are always so nice and friendly even when they are busy. My favourite spot atm

03/07/2026: Stopped here after walking the Moville Shore Path, a stunning 2.5 hour return walk from Moville to Greencastle (stops for pics and dog on beach included). Inside was packed and buzzing but we sat in a pod outside because we had a dog with us. The pizza was 😋 as was the very generously sized fish encased in the lightest, crispiest batter I have ever tasted! We ate here two nights in a row & will eat here again when we return soon to the stunning Inishowen Peninsula

17/07/2026: A cozy local eatery that makes great food at a reasonable price. Locally, they are world-famous 😁. We had the delicious clam holder. Definitely worth the detour.

09/07/2026: This is a must see in Ballyliffin! Their chowder is phenomenal, of course, but they’ve also done an amazing job of mixing local cuisine with flavors from around the world. The fish tacos are my absolute favorite right now, since it’s the perfect mix of fish and chips and a little taste of being home in the US. Not to mention their amazing wait staff who make sure that everyone who walks in the door is made to feel at home while they’re inside. They’ve also done a great job of honoring the legacy of the barn while bringing in modern conveniences.

01/07/2026: Lovely restaurant with beautiful full length windows which let in lots of light. Plenty of parking at restaurant Delicious meal here this evening. Very pleasant staff.

28/06/2026: Here for a stag do dinner recently and each and everyone of us were impressed. The place looks amazing, the staff are very friendly and the food was 10/10. Would highly recommend the Treehouse

15/07/2026: We had a lovely time in this fascinating little bar/restaurant. We had the chowder which was very good. We also had the mackerel patty and hummus with tortillas very enjoyable. My wife had the sauvignon blanc which could have been colder. The Guinness was excellent and definitely one of the best points I enjoyed on our little road trip, so much so I had to have a second and it didn't disappoint. I highly recommend a visit to Nancy's and the town of Ardara.

13/07/2026: Cozy local pub, great atmosphere. Good food and friendly service. We were able to wait at the bar for a bit while we waited for a table. On Sundays, the kitchen closes a bit earlier, so be sure to be on time; it can get really busy, but it's worth it.

15/06/2026: Enjoyed a fantastic short spa break at Ballyliffen. Very warm welcome at reception. The hotel is spotless rooms bright and airey. Spa experience is just luxury at a more fair and reasonable price. There is also a health suite and a gym fully equipped. Food is to die for with portions very generous. A visit is definately recomended and views are breath taking. Staff are warm and friendly home from home relax in luxury.

11/06/2026: Excellent hotel been many times and never disappoints. Friendly staff and food is good, with good range of options at breakfast. Recent refurbishment has really helped make something good to an evening higher level. Highly recommend.

01/07/2026: A warm welcome at the Brewery Bar! We arrived late afternoon so could order from the early bird 2 course menu. We had nachos, and soup for starters, and roast dinner

10/05/2026: Visited Harvey’s Point for Sunday lunch to celebrate a big family birthday. Staff were so accommodating to my partner and I who are both vegan. The main course could do with a lot more vegetables, but everything tasted delicious!

16/07/2026: Loved the place was having a low Sugar diabetes attack they help with can of coke and a chair and then I ordered my fish chips and curry sauce with tartar sauce 😋
