15/02/2025: Called in to Farren's on the recommendation of a local lady we met walking at Malin Head. Did not disappoint - the food was amazing (can seriously recommend the "best of both" or the seafood chowder!). A seriously good pint of Guinness was delivered in no time, and the largest coffee and hot chocolate order they'd ever had set us all on the road again. Staff were really nice, the bar was cosy and we could have sat in beside that log burner all day. A really great find and will definitely be back!
15/01/2025: Great wee pub, very cosy with the log burner on and friendly people & staff. We were allowed to bring our dog in too which was class!!

14/03/2025: Had food there last weekend. Portions were great. My ham toastie was a meal in itself with proper big slices of ham. Onion rings were actually crispy and light, pure class. Finally, it is very rare you go to a place where there are separate fryers/stations etc for gluten free options. My wife is a coeliac and was delighted her chips weren't mixed with regular chips.

07/03/2025: We ate here for the first time in October 2024. Absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and the impeccable service. Excellent value for money and the standard of food is the best experienced in a very long time. This is a must visit if in County Donegal. The beef cheeks and monkfish mains were superb.
10/02/2025: Superb food, starters mains and puddings, All 4 diner's chose different ones, tasting each other's choices. All agreed everything was lovely. The wine list was extensive and fairly priced. The Lemon Tree is not cheap, but rightly so. One you should not miss when in Letterkenny

10/03/2025: We had booked for 8, but they accommodated 10 of us, despite being extremely busy. Portions were very generous. Unfortunately, the vegan pasta had to be returned, but the rest of us all enjoyed what we had.

13/12/2024: Brilliant. Called in today for a cheeky take away. Chicken goujons and chips. Their chips have a tasty seasoning and the portion was massive. Fionnuala and co are brilliant and so friendly. Drop in for main meal or dessert. They have specials that change all the time. Check out their instagram for videos and photos which are a real representation of what you will get. Never had a poor meal in here.

18/03/2025: We came to Donegal late about 8 pm, i search and is the best puntuation in Google maps.
So we went there. The first contact a waiter that speaks Spanish, that it's a point when in your group not everybody speaks English. When we get the food all was wonderful, probably one of the best hamburguers in ireland that i tried, but the best was the turkey, the stuffing was like my family recipe, tasty and moist that in a turkey is quite difficult. Also the desserts were wonderful.
If you came to Donegal came here. Very recommended.
Dock in the harbour and have a good time.

01/03/2025: Lovely and friendly staff. Very helpful. You will never leave this place hungry. Their jacket potatoes are a must. The fish is always so fresh. You will not go wrong ordering the fish (pan-fried, steamed, or battered). The home made burgers are delicious. Steak is good, too. Have never got anything that was disappointing.

01/11/2024: Been a few times over the years which have been fantastic. However this time wasn't great since they moved location. Chips clearly frozen, fish ok but scamp was tough. Not sure what happened this time
29/10/2024: Very disappointed after hearing all the hype about this place, fish and chips were not great batter not nice ,scampi was the worst I've ever had in my life ,only ate two pieces as it was like chewing rubber it was completely disgusting and was clearly overlooked .Won't be trying again.

15/11/2024: Cosy upstairs restaurant serving delicious food. Flavours and menu choice are exceptional. Rabbit is a real winner. Seamus strikes the right balance as an informed, efficient and pleasant front of house operator (ask about the sea shell salt cellars). Deserves all accolades. Will definitely be back.
