20/05/2026: Ireland's most northerly Pub and well worth the trip up. Great staff, delicious well priced food with plenty of choice and a warm friendly welcome. Don't pass it by after you have visited Malin Head.

Warm and inviting atmosphere and great pub attached as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great night out and wonderful multi course meal.

08/05/2026: The restaurant is conveniently located beside a parking area, making it extremely accessible and eliminating the difficulty of finding street parking. It is less than a three-minute walk from the parking lot, which added to the overall convenience of the experience. Most importantly, this was genuinely one of the finest dining experiences I have had in my life. My mother and I visited while on vacation to celebrate her birthday after the restaurant was highly recommended by our Airbnb hosts, and it exceeded every expectation. I ordered the duck, while my mother chose the chicken, and both dishes were exceptional. In nearly 40 years of travel and dining experiences, I can confidently say the quality of both the food and service ranks among the very best I have encountered. Although I was unaware that reservations were required, the staff graciously accommodated us despite my oversight. Their professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness made the evening especially memorable. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor, with food that was both refined and comforting. The desserts were perfectly balanced and not overly sweet, and the wine selection was outstanding. From the cuisine to the hospitality, every aspect of the experience was exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to the entire staff for providing such a memorable evening — it was truly appreciated.

30/03/2026: Made reservation online to have dinner here. They require a card and will charge a fee for cancellations. Service in the restaurant was excellent. They brought us to our table immediately, offered to store our coats, served water immediately. After we ordered food, we were served some canapés which were delicious. We ordered crispy fishcakes to share, duck breast and the slow cooked beef cheek bourguigion. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. 💯

25/05/2026: Was here a few weeks ago for my sister's hen party and the staff were beyond accommodating, there was a large group of us and we were delayed in making our reservation however that was no issue to the lovely staff who had our table ready when we arrived. Food was wonderful as always, and the staff were lovely, would recommend for any small or large groups in the area, we hope to be back soon!

08/05/2026: We had a very nice dinner here. The waitstaff were super friendly and helpful. We got the salmon and the chicken supreme. Both were fantastic. We also got ice cream and the apple crumble for dessert. Again, both were fantastic. Also as a side note, they have great taste in music here. Do yourself a favor and go eat here.

12/05/2026: As someone who works in hospitality in Toronto I was genuinely so grateful for the service myself and my Dad received last night at Nancys. I just had flown into Donegal after a long connection in Dublin from Toronto and I was dying for some food and both the chefs and servers were gracious to take our order even though we embarrassingly showed just before the kitchen closed. Both the people working front of house were super hospitable, the food was great and the atmosphere of the room was full of character.

11/05/2026: We loved this place so much we came back for round two the next night. The specials were incredible, mackerel spread was outstanding, the chowder was best we have had in Ireland. The Guinness was great and went even better with how friendly and helpful the staff was. We can’t recommend this place enough and are sorry we didn’t stay another night in town so we could eat here for a third night. That’s how good this place is!!! Also it’s a good deal too!! And family owned and operated!!! Oh and the oysters!!! Outstanding all around!!

08/05/2026: If you're passing through Ballyliffin, don't miss this restaurant. Recommended by locals for its chowder, it fully deserves its reputation. It's NOT a tourist trap, quite the opposite. Generous portions, efficient and friendly service. The chowder is truly delicious and flavorful, and the desserts are exquisite 😉. Local beer on tap. Outdoor terrace, a rarity in Ireland and worth mentioning. Reasonable prices.

10/05/2026: Visited Harvey’s Point for Sunday lunch to celebrate a big family birthday. Staff were so accommodating to my partner and I who are both vegan. The main course could do with a lot more vegetables, but everything tasted delicious!

12/04/2026: I would like to thank every single staff member from the Ballyliffin lodge hotel who made my mums 60th so special. Right from check in we were looked after so well, all the staff were so attentive and any requests placed prior to arrival were granted. The hotel is in a beautiful location, stunning sea views, rooms were spotless I couldn’t fault them and comfortable beds, the spa and pool area was great, and we even got to book in for some last minute treatments. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and one of our party was vegetarian, and the staff kindly gave extra options to cater for this. Breakfast was great each morning and the music at the weekend was great. My elderly granny had an accessible room which was great. Raised toilet, grab rails, and a great accessible friendly shower. Besides the hotel and local area being stunning what really made it stand out was the staff, they were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. They went above and beyond to make everything feel special and personal, and it honestly made all the difference. You can tell they really care about what they do. We will definitely be back!

03/02/2026: Ah lads… Hold up there. I know that we are blessed to live in a country where fresh produce is abundant, and good chefs are numerous… BUT… when you’re lucky enough to eat somewhere that has both of these things, the result is the culinary holy grail. Quay West in Donegal Town is most definitely one of these places… A beautifully diverse menu that showcases the best of Irish beef (Brazilian, Brashmillion…) delicate Italian pasta dishes, and even ventures into a wonderfully fragrant Indonesian curry. Being as close as they are to Killybegs, I couldn’t pass the freshness of the Kinnegar battered Haddock, with fresh tartar sauce and pea purée… Christ. That’s all. The fish must have hopped out of the water of his own accord, and got a taxi from the pier in Killybegs straight in to the Quay West kitchen, and begged to be battered… and being in Donegal, what better battering than a Kinnegar batter?!?! It was utter perfection, complimented by a perfectly tart tartar, and smooth pea which was definitely in several of the 40 shades of green. Also at our table were dishes of Chicken Parmigiana, curry, and the most incredible zesty crab and courgette linguine… I’m not sure what magic was worked to make this sooooo light, but Angels definitely wept. The delicate lightness of the lobster cream was unreal… if this was the base for a chowder or bisque, it would be unbeatable. If you happen to be lucky enough to be in Donegal at dinner time, do NOT pass this place by. The staff are friendly without being too overly attentive, and the view is nearly as perfect as the food. THIS Quay West, is much better than the other Key West, and doesn’t take as long to get to. 13/10 for fresh fishiness. Will dine again. Nomnomnom…

02/02/2026: Really great restaurant in Donegal Town. We were looked after from the moment we walked in the door and right throughout the evening. The menu was wide and varied with plenty of choice for everyone. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and despite being busy, everything was under control and there was no long wait for our food. Hadn't eaten there before but will definitely be back. Really nice atmosphere. Thanks to Jo and team for a lovely evening.

14/05/2026: If you're looking for inexpensive and delicious fish and chips, this is the place to go! The fries are large, well-fried, and tasty. Any sauce is well with them, but my personal preference is garlic sauce. Now let's look at the fish. A huge piece of white, juicy, and delicious fried fish with a fresh lemon makes me hungry even in the picture. The portions are big even for a 95 kg man. The atmosphere is calm and cozy. The girls who were preparing food made my day when they turned on the music and sang songs wonderfully. I'll come here again.
