27/01/2025: Got myself a spice bag to try it out from this place. First spice bag in Ireland with no onions chilli or peppers! Crazy considering that's what a spice bag is right! Over priced cost 9 euro and didn't even come with a curry dip. **NEW REVIEW 2025** Got chicken curry, egg fried rice and chips. Rice had barely any egg in it! Feels like there cutting corners if there's not even a egg in there egg fried rice! Chicken abit chewy. And the curry was like water! There's a tiny hint of something rotten but apart from that basically ABSOLUTELY ZERO FLAVOUR from the curry!!! Honestly I didn't even finish my dinner I wouldn't even give it to the dog! Straight in the bin. I'm actually surprised this place is still going it's that gross. 1/10

01/09/2024: Lovely location and well appointed park which seems to be run by a community committee or have some involvement from the Local Authority. Well maintained and clean. However, to call it a Caravan and Camping Site is a bit of a misnomer. It is an excellent Caravan park, but not suitable for tents, particularly, large family tents. Not their fault, it's just the geography of the site. It has a high water table, and is boggy / marshy in most areas. They also seem to have a heavy leaning towards seasonal pitches for caravan which lead to a relatively empty and souless site. We had planned a three night stay but left after two. Because of heavy rainfall, and poor drainage throughout the site there were puddles / ponding throughout including under the tent which felt as though we were walking on a water bed under foot. Once this started to breach the groundsheet - it was time to go. On arrival, we were met by two staff members in reception. Once exceptionally friendly and helpful and the other, the polar opposite, surly, grumpy and incommunicative. We (the helpful staff member and I) had some difficulty finding a pitch that wasn't waterlogged. If it was a normal weekend, I would not have accepted the site and moved on elsewhere, either further on to Killybegs or back towards Sligo, or headed home but, unfortunately, we had a family event in Bundoran and had no options. We investigated air bnb / bookings.com and couldn't find an alternative. Eventually, we settled on a little greenspace between the public carpark (outside the campsite cordon) and the public playground (also outside the campsite cordon). Best of a bad lot. This was the driest space we could find and too small for a large family tent. We ended up with guy wires tied to fencing. It was very close to the N15, a very busy national road which led to a lot of traffic noise throughout the night. It was also more than 30 meters from the EHU point and too far for our standard 15m lead. Therefore, no EHU despite having paid €5 per night for it, up-front. We asked for an extension lead but unfortunately none was available so we'd have to do without. This would have been an ideal opportunity for the surly staff member to offer a refund of the €15 for EHU, but it wasn't forthcoming and given the limited communications and grunts, I didn't press the issue. As we packed up a day early, in the rain, trying not to splash too much mud on our polycotton tent, the friendly staff member called over to chat. I expressed our disappointment with the sites drainage problems and water logging and made it clear that this was the reason we were leaving early. He was sympathetic and apologetic. I fully accept that the unseasonably wet weather was not their fault however, it should be made clear to tent campers on booking that they are heavily weather dependent in their suitability for tents. We'd booked over a month in advance and a simple phone call, letting us know the site was waterlogged from the bad weather could have given us options, such as a smaller tent set up, or given us more time to find alternative accommodation close to Bundoran. All in all, a lovely caravan site but, not suitable for tents in all but the driest of weather.

01/01/2025: Nice wee cafe with plenty of choice, also glutenfree (GF) options available. I had a tasty GF breakfast fry, which had all the usual ingredients - I was pleased they had actual GF replacements, instead of just taking ingredients off the plate. My da had a great plate of (regular) fish and chips, too. Lovely place for a quick bite to eat!

28/12/2024: After cooking all through Christmas we looked forward to a fish and chips tea with curry sauce and peas. The place was absolutely heaving so I guess everyone else had the same idea. When we got home and opened the bag we were very disappointed. The fish although loads of it was obviously a frozen version which had just been recooked in the oil it was tasteless. As for the chips they were undercooked it was clear they were so busy they didn’t have enough time to cook the chips properly they were greasy and undercooked sticking to the grease paper. On the whole the meal was a disaster and at over €30 we will not be going here ever again. You have been warned.

03/01/2025: I must admit that the pizza was great. I loved its margherita with cheese and bacon, ingredients self chosen. But, the guy at the desk was extremely upsetting. No care, no smile, no interest. I was waiting outside the door since inside there was a full cloud of oil burning the air, and he didn't care about telling that the pizza was ready. It is not possible to eat inside due to the burning smell. I had to eat outside in the rain.

28/10/2024: Unfortunately we ended up getting food poisoning out of here on Saturday night ! We got a share deal and both of us have been sick since it. Service was OK and atmosphere was just your normal !

08/03/2025: 👎🏿The food here is rank and I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. Hairy half cooked chicken and chewy stale shrimp is not something I ever want to see again. Therefore follow my example and avoid this place🤢

14/02/2025: hi me and my partner ordered food from here we were staying in the abbey hotel for a few days we ordered pizza wedges and garlic bread absoluetly gorgoeus i must say the food was great and staff was nice

25/01/2025: I ordered a burger with everything on it with no onions, instead of that I may as well have gotten ketchup with a side of bread meat and cheese. You would swear the the bottle opened and half of it spilled on it. Also got a korma, there was no vegetables and about 5 pieces of chicken with an entire tub of sweet/bland sauce

03/01/2025: The food I ordered was inevitable. I ordered a chip box with chicken. The lettuce was old and wilted, slathered in mayonnaise, the chicken was overcooked and bland and the chips were covered in sweet chilli sauce. I noticed a lot of grey and blighty chips amoungest them. They used to do a great kebab and hogie but have gone very downhill in the last year. My aunt ordered a curry which was a lot better than my order so maybe avoid anything that is not curry based!
