05/10/2025: Very nice room,The beds were nicely made and very comfortable indeed.BIG HOTEL and comes with lots of activities too including golf, tennis and leisure centre with a gym and a pool and great location as well with Water world the beach and the funfair nice walk down to these locations .Recommend hotel to stay at for the summer holidays food was high quality and tasty indeed and Staff were very nice and posh they would give you anything that you need and have it delivered to your door in seconds. The tv works including Netflix and YouTube which would help you pass the time when you’re waiting to do something . 5 STARS,RECOMMENDED indeed

05/08/2025: A great old school hotel. Location is superb, with terrific views out over the bay. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Breakfast is fantastic. There is a great history behind this hotel.

26/10/2025: The chef here does not care. I have never had indian food with so little taste. Ever. The sauces with the poppadoms were an early indicator - one sweet thing and one nothing both with all flavour removed. I got the chicken bhuna - sauce was orange and homogenous - no heat, no sign of spices or veg nada, tasted of nothing. Son is coealiac and one of the naans (kema) was on the menu as GF, we ordered it. It was a regular naan - server checked and confirmed it was GF, it was not. They obviously had no clue about GF. Poor service also. AVOID.

12/11/2025: I went here yesterday to celebrate a birthday and to say the least i was appalled. We arrived at 7 and our table was yet to be set up. We waited around an hour and a half before anyone came near us to take our food order. After this we waited 45 mins for starters, with a further wait of an hour for our mains with the addition of a member of our party reporting to the staff desk querying if our food would soon be there. Food was brought very unprofessionally with staff not knowing who ordered what and one of our party not receiving the right order, and another receiving their steak not cooked to their preference which they clearly stated when ordering. After dinner was finished nobody appeared to take our dirty dishes or even ask if all our food was ok! We then ended up having to return to the staff desk to ask if they were coming to take our dessert order, after another long wait. Our dessert orders were taken but dirty dishes were still not lifted. Meanwhile throughout the evening multiple drinks were unavailable at the bar showing a lack of preparation and organisation for the night ahead, leaving us with very little choice and having to change our drink every time we ordered. Finially, on our departure we left the building without seeing a singular member of staff around leaving the place unattended. Would not recommend to my enemy. Kind regards, Jemima x

22/10/2025: As a family of ten we had the best night with food and drinks served to the table definitely go back in the new year 🎊

27/10/2025: We had a beef curry with fried rice and a spice bag. The beef was tender and the curry sauce had a good kick as we had asked for it to be spicy. The rice was average but nothing to complain about. The spice bag was tasty. Salty chips and tender chicken. Service was quick. If I’m ever back this way I’ll be back again

08/07/2025: Possibly the worst chinese on the island. They used tinned spam for the ham fried rice. (Rice wasn't even fried) Chicken kung po was literally just water and cornstarch to thicken it. Curry sauce was gritty and rancid. Avoid at all costs.

11/10/2025: The chips with cheese and cheesy garlic bread were delicious. Lots of different beers and super-fast service.

06/09/2025: Orderd 2 pints absolutley shocking ..guiness bad ..tuborg rotten ..staff not friendly wat so ever ..left d beers after a mouthful and walked out

13/08/2025: Myself,hubby and daughter stayed at this hotel on Sunday 10th August,the girl behind the reception wasn't friendly (roisin), room wasn't ready to check into until 4 o'clock,u have to booked the swimming pool,then we went into the bar to get food,was told there was three family's booked in before us,we decided to have a drink while we waited,I then asked the bar man when did they stop serving food ,he say 20 mins ago,they had forgotten about us,got no food,very disappointed to be honest,and then no children after 9.30 in the bar, so had to get a chippy,

16/08/2025: A lovely little Indian restaurant right in the town. The staff were really nice and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious with generous portions at a very reasonable price. It’s takeaway only, but definitely worth it if you’re looking for tasty Indian food in the area.

03/05/2025: The food I ordered was inedible. I ordered a chip box with chicken. The lettuce was old and wilted, slathered in mayonnaise, the chicken was overcooked and bland and the chips were covered in sweet chilli sauce. I noticed a lot of grey and blighty chips amoungest them. They used to do a great kebab and hogie but have gone very downhill in the last year. My aunt ordered a curry which was a lot better than my order so maybe avoid anything that is not curry based!

06/08/2025: Tue 5th Aug @7.40 front of house excellent, super friendly, cleaned up a table for us to dine. Great looking menu, well overpriced. Ordered Veggie ginger & chilli noodle stirfry , a swap of soya sauce,1 whole onion, sesame seeds.€17 Hubby orderd lasagne, €23 came out looked like a orange cheese slice just melted on top of it, so sml and thin not much of a lasnage, side salad was just pulled out of a salad bag. No dressing, nothing. Honestly an absolute disgrace to plate up this, and it it's worthy for diners to pay €35. I'm in the hospitality industry am disgraced of this pathic food I was subject to eat. Again front of house staff excellent , back staff unacceptable

26/07/2025: I appreciated the variety of vegan options available at this restaurant, which was a big plus. However, I had a very disappointing experience. The staff was quite unfriendly, which affected the overall atmosphere. We didn`t feel welcome at all! Additionally, the noodle dishes were swimming in oil, making them very greasy and not very enjoyable.

30/07/2025: Very very disappointing. The coffee was so bad that we went back to the counter and we were told that's just how it is. The soup was tasty. The grounds & park are beautiful, but the tea room is a let down.

17/06/2025: Big disappointment. We were here a few years ago, the food was very good. That's why we decided to invite our guests to this place. We will definitely never go back there. After 3 pm a lot of smoothies were unavailable, but still on the board soup and fries too. Food without taste pasta salad with one dried tomato is a kind of joke. Quiche not heated enough Service just like food not the best. Outdoor tables low, uncomfortable chairs. I don't recommend it to people who value the quality of food

13/11/2025: We used this venue to host an Aromatherapy Workshop. They were very accommodating and helpful. Great facilities

22/09/2025: Flat location, nothing to say about this; boss (Mr Mungo) gruff with a strong personality but helpful in the end, little space for people in tents; campsite for regulars. Peaceful location by the lake; we did not have to suffer from nuisances due to the power plant, but rather from disrespectful neighbors.

31/08/2025: Arrived up on Friday night to enjoy some drinks and craic. Band came on and soon found out it was a Republican RA band. Not our experience of anywhere else in Donegal and sadly this pub has definitely gone down hill since it changed hands.

27/08/2025: Angela's fish and chips next door serve the best fish and it is so fresh - the chips are great too.
