Salmon Inn
01/10/2024: A lovely bar, traditional, run lovingly by a family who've run it for decades. Right in front of a sea inlet , the owner was exceptionally kind & friendly to me & my learning disabled sister. Highly recommended. Pizza on sale but no actual restaurant open that day ( not sure of other days.) It wasn't "buzzing" but to escape from the stresses of modern day life, thus is your place. Picnic tables in front of sea. Ideal.
02/06/2024: Only the bar was open not open for food ; don’t waste your time going there if you want food even though website says it is open from 12:30 for food ; very disappointing

The Castle Inn

05/09/2024: This was the first time I have visited the Greencastle Inn and I have to say the surroundings and the food was first class. Nothing was any problem for the chef ! The service staff were very pleasant and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone visiting

11/09/2024: I took my mum here who has medical issues and has very limited plain diet. I asked the girl if they could accomadate. Normally we experience impatience which embarrasses my mum and she's doesn't go out ever to eat but this girl couldnt do enough. We were taken aback it's not normally our experience. She spoke to chef who again really worked with us. The The food was beautiful and rest of staff were lovely. To effect that I had a meal out with my mum and I haven't had that in years. They cannot know what they gave us, a very special memory. I cannot recommend youse enough. That girl and the chef deserve a raise as she understands service like no other.

08/11/2024: 1 star is too much! Found disgusting hair in my chips and when confronted the staff only got a dirty look with no apology! The fry is a joke with 2 pieces of leathery bacon 🥓 and dry shrivelled sausages👎Dirty sticky cutlery, tea pots never been washed and the whole place is in shambles👎
27/10/2024: Great place for food anytime . Stopped for breakfast this time , also great fish n chips.

08/10/2024: Called here last Friday.. had a fillet burger meal. It was the worst I’ve ever had. The chicken was hard and appeared to have been cooked hours before. The bun was the smallest, mis-shapen ever I have seen and the smallest portion of fries ever - all for €10…. NEVER AGAIN

30/09/2024: They close any time they want no good... food was great went down hill big time. Curry now is one slice or two. Just not worth it anymore. Sad times.

30/07/2024: This place was so disappointing , It took a hour and 20 minutes for only two 4 in 1 to come after asking multiple times . Staff was very rude to us when we asked how long more . Chips and chicken were over cooked and removed prawn crackers .
