12/03/2026: Been to a lot of sushi places in Ireland, and I can tell this is one of my top favorites. The salmons are so fresh, and it's good that I can see the kitchen from the counter. Looks really clean as well. My favorite sushi from here is the Salmon Cream Cheese. Highly recommended !!

11/03/2026: Tonight I was in town for a short stay and discovered this fantastic restaurant. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and the sushi was absolutely delicious. Everything I eat was prepared with great care and tasted amazing. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish! Highly recommended.

06/01/2026: We visited The Port House recently again, we had been before some time ago and were looking forward to some lovely Spanish tapas, but unfortunately, several dishes fell short of expectations. The Croquetas de Jamón were decent but a bit on the greasy side. The Gambas al Pil Pil lacked flavour entirely—no garlic, chili, or sear—and we couldn't finish them. We mentioned this to our waitress, who kindly offered a replacement, but we declined to avoid food waste, and the dish was removed from the bill without issue. The Chorizo al Vino was okay (I finished most of it as I was hungry), and the Patatas Rotas were average but acceptable. However, the Chicken Paella was mushy with an off flavor (kinda fishy), and we barely touched it (this wasn't adjusted on the bill). We had a couple of nice cocktails: Atlantic Twist and Clover Club. Our glasses of wine were fine, and our server was genuinely friendly and attentive. The front-of-house host, though, came across as quite unwelcoming upon arrival. Overall, a disappointing meal compared to what we'd hoped for based on previous visits.. Service from the waitress was a highlight.

31/03/2026: Oh I'm going to really REALLY miss this place when I'll leave Dublin in a few days. Prices are indeed quite high but quality is awesome; I have tested their sandwiches, pastries, individual serves, etc. and never was disappointed. Staff is really nice too. I wish this place existed in my home country!

13/03/2026: This place is an absolute jewel in Dublin! If you appreciate a genuinely well-crafted drink in a beautiful setting, this is the spot. The atmosphere is incredible. It has a gorgeous Art Deco vibe that makes you feel like you've just stepped into a glamorous 1930s jazz bar. The cocktails are professionally made with real care and top-tier ingredients. The menu is fantastic, but the welcoming staff are more than happy to go off-menu and mix up whatever you're in the mood for, always taking the time to happily answer any questions about the drinks. While the everyday food menu is a bit limited, it perfectly suits the style of the bar. I highly recommend the charcuterie board, as it offers a wonderful balance of high-quality Spanish and Italian cured meats and cheeses with surprisingly generous portion sizes. I also had dinner here for New Year's Eve and the experience was excellent. They put together a special menu for the night, and the food was absolutely delicious. The best part is the connection to the Stella Cinema, a truly classy and vintage theater. I recommend this place for grabbing drinks with friends before a screening or catching up after a movie. A brilliant, five-star experience all around!

21/02/2026: Have to say that the food here was a huge disappointment. The trio of bread, olives, and almonds was an actual joke - 5 small olives, bland stale nuts, and bread that I physically couldn't tear or cut. The only decent thing we had was the arancini. Service was also poor - there were about 6 staff there around the bar but only 1-2 people actually working. The manager seemed totally fine with the fact that most of them were just standing around sampling a cocktail. They took our order without writing it down, came back to confirm it again, and we were still served the wrong thing. Puzzling how they manage to take 20 mins to serve a glass of whiskey with only about 4 tables occupied.

10/07/2025: The pies and pastries look lovely in the fridge until the staff stick them in the microwave and destroy the pastry. Guys invest in a toaster oven!

01/11/2025: I absolutely do not recommend it. I returned to this pub after years. I had eaten here several times years ago and found the food excellent. Things have definitely changed now. I ordered a Guinness stew, which turned out to be a lentil, mushroom, and carrot soup. The meat was practically nonexistent. From the way they used spices, it's clear that whoever prepares the dishes doesn't know the flavors of Irish cuisine. I couldn't eat it. Stop for a drink if you like, but for food, go elsewhere!

11/08/2025: Lovely Irish pub, with lots of kind and friendly locals, tons of little nooks, a spacious back patio and sneak access to a large courtyard with a few tasty food trucks and a little hidden sauna. A fun find and great place for an afternoon out!

06/10/2025: It it do hard to be plant base and visiting Ireland. This place was a welcome joy after a 10 day struggle finding gluten free whole plant based food and amazingly delicious 😋 If there was a Sprouts in Portland Oregon I would never be eating at home!!

24/12/2025: My partner was just around at this supervalue grabbing the last few bits for Christmas and she was followed all over the shop not only today but the other day by this new so called security guard? If this happens one more time I will be coming into the shop to take this matter up with management.. Who do they think they are profiling her?
