07/09/2026: Amazing experience. Staff were super friendly , amazing coffee and unreal chicken sandwich.

06/09/2026: I was a little disappointed; I don't know why it's so highly rated. The menu is limited, and the food is nothing special. It's certainly not a place where I'd wait in line to get in again. The service isn't particularly friendly either, and they even charge extra for the sauce, which isn't even that great.

07/09/2026: I had a great experience at 56 Central in Galway! The staff were really nice, friendly, and managed everything very well, even during the busy times. The restaurant was quite busy with tourists, but the service was still well organised. The food was amazing overall. I had the Irish breakfast, and everything was delicious, although the bacon was a little overcooked for my taste. The burger, however, was absolutely amazing! If you’re visiting Galway, I definitely recommend stopping by 56 Central. It’s a busy and popular spot for tourists, and for good reason. A must-visit when you’re in Galway! 🇮🇪🍔

08/09/2026: Service was a bit hard to come by. Food was very good. Fish and chips. Big bowl of mussels. We sat inside but lots of outside seating if weather is cooperating.

03/09/2026: The food was really good! We had Guinness Beef Stew with self made bread and it was so perfect. We also had Irish coffee and it was great aswell. They actually had some space at 8 PM so it was very nice, the bathroom was great aswell and very clean, the atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable and the servers very attentative. When our glasses went empty she asked if we wanted some more drinks for example... All in all 15 out of 5 stars, wish I could actually give 100 Edit: The brownie and apple crumble were very nice too!

07/09/2026: Was looking forward to eating at this vegan restaurant but it was not worth it contrary to what the good reviews suggested. I ordered a curry noodle soup which arrived nearly cold. The cake was ok although quite dry and way to expensive at 7,50 or 8,50 a piece. The service was close to non-existant; one of the waitresses was extremly rude and made one feel very unwelcome. It literally felt like one eating in the restaurant, asking for a table to be seated or odering food via her was an inconvenience to her. Would not recommend eating here.

18/08/2026: So delicious! I've eaten from both the menus upstairs and downstairs. Both are great, but I favor downstairs for a group get together. We order lots of little plates and share them all. The chicken dish downstairs is a firm favorite. Staff are lovely too and great cocktails and wines.

18/08/2026: Beautiful restaurant, very nice service and incredibly good and original cuisine - if you like peppery food, go for the bavette!

14/08/2026: A truly fantastic experience. Everything flowed smoothly, they were very accommodating given my wife's pregnancy and prepared dishes accordingly. The menu costs €175 per person, but it's reasonable for the quality.

12/08/2026: Great atmosphere as music played inside. However, we witnessed the front door security literally overstep his bounds as he asked a man to stop "harassing" the patrons sitting outside. The "elderly" gentleman was talking and possibly asking for a handout. Security got into an altercation with him, beat him to the ground, and told him to leave. The man left, came back, then was pursued down the street and left unconscious down the street. Security needs better training on how to de-escalate an easily manageable situation.

28/08/2026: Everything these days costs a bomb HOWEVER the mocha at Hyde was very high quality! It was worth the price tag for once !!! Nice ambience too.

26/08/2026: I had brunch here and I must honestly say that I was a bit tempted by the beautiful appearance of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. After a long wait, I received a completely different order than what I had asked for. Subsequently, I had to wait a long time again for the correct dish, while my dining companion had already started eating. When I asked for an extra roll, because I had only received one slice of bread, I waited for it for almost twenty minutes. Eventually, I only received it after having to ask for it again myself. By that time, the rest of my food was, of course, already cold. When paying the bill, I received apologies and was told that they were very busy preparing for a party. That can happen, of course, but as a paying guest, I do expect that this does not come at the expense of my food and the service. Unfortunately, I found both the food and the service to be quite substandard. Especially considering the price, I had expected much more from this place.

14/09/2026: Fantastic experience! We had high expectations and they really delivered. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Very interesting menu, different versions of classics. The place is really cozy, the staff is caring and welcoming. The ambiance is cared for, we enjoyed it so much! You definitely need to book in advance, but when visiting Galway and craving fish, this is a top option!!

13/09/2026: One of the locals recommended this place while we were visiting Galway, and he was absolutely right! It’s about an 18-minute walk from the train station, and it’s definitely worth the visit. We had the catch of the day and the seafood linguine, and both were amazing. We didn’t have a reservation, but the staff were kind enough to immediately find us a table. A big shoutout to this place and its wonderful staff! Definitely recommend it. ❤️
