Harbour Bar
Dublin
04/04/2026: I stumbled upon this pub by chance. Very cozy.
03/04/2026: An authentic pub🍺they even have their own mascot - a cat that walks around the pub and sleeps in the loudest noise at the bar😁

Cafe Paradiso
Cork
15/03/2026: Best vegan meal I’ve had since Cafe My House with chef Briana Kim. I love when places don’t use meat substitutes, even though I do eat them at home fairly often, and focus instead on the vegetables themselves.
01/03/2026: Absolutely gorgeous. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable service, and every course was delicious. I'll remember those pumpkin ravioli for a long time, I think! Natural wine pairings were well-considered, well-explained and beautifully rounded out the meal. We will be coming back!

Caffe Letterario GattaNera
Bray
22/04/2026: A very charming little café with great service, beautiful cat decorations, a bookshelf, and fresh, delicious food. As cat lovers, we immediately felt at home and enjoyed the ambiance. My cappuccino was excellent, as was my companion's Americano. The salad we ordered, with Parmesan, olives, seeds, sun-dried tomatoes, and mixed greens, was served with toasted baguette and a flavorful dressing.
Overall, a lovely experience. The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy.
It was a great way to start our time in Bray. Thank you!
22/03/2026: Very nice service and great food! If you are in Bray definitely recommend this gem 🐈⬛

The Long Hall
Dublin
18/04/2026: We came from abroad and todays our last day honestly wish we had time to come back again tonight. Vibe super chill and local. Prices are actually very reasonable and it's just one of those places you end up loving without expecting it. If you looking for local spot definitely you should visit this bar
18/04/2026: An incredible proper local Dublin pub, a pleasure to drink in & our favourite of all the bars we tried in our short stay!
Visited on a weekday afternoon after exploring the city centre and absolutely adored this special place! Quick service in a relaxed atmosphere, quiet music plays as the small chatter of tables adds to the vibes.
We managed to get a booth and loved just passing the time in here. The Guinness was very nice, creamy and not too bitter and at around €7 notably cheaper than the Temple Bar area just a few minutes away, the interior is stunning with brilliant relics of beer memorabilia & artefacts dotted around the walls. Famously this is Bruce Springsteen's pub of choice when in the city and if it's approved by The Boss then you know it's good.
Would've happily stayed here for hours but we were pressed for time, but will undoubtedly return here next time we are in the city, our favourite of all the pubs we visited & I can't recommend it enough if you want a taste of an authentic historical Dublin pub!

Lincoln's Inn
Dublin
21/02/2026: The pub is pretty, but the red thai curry was the worst insult to Thai kitchen I have seen. Basically gravy with paprika and red onions.
17/02/2026: The fish and chips are spectacular, as are the spicy chicken wings. Good service in a very pleasant environment. We will be back!

Watters
Collon
17/03/2026: Possibly one of Collon Village best kept secrets as it’s all word of mouth with little or no advertising done but it works as over 20years it has consistently improved always serving local quality food at very reasonable prices. Caters for all occasions and ideally situated on the N2 with its own car park and on street parking there’s nothing not to like
08/03/2026: Food and staff were excellent, quick service, and the Guinness very good.

The Marker Rooftop Bar
Dublin
01/05/2026: Really top notch stay from start to finish. The staff were fantastic, from the doormen helping with bags to a smooth and professional check in, and even kindly upgrading our room when a small issue was noticed.
The room itself was spacious and very comfortable with a great water view, a super comfy bed, and a large bathroom with both a powerful shower and big tub. The pool was better than expected and quiet when we used it, and the steam room and sauna were a nice bonus.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and great service, and the bar had a lively atmosphere with a strong drinks menu. Overall a great hotel for both business and leisure, and I would definitely recommend it for a five star experience.
30/04/2026: downstairs bar is amazing - loved the blonde lady with the neck tattoo and the brown haired lady with the glasses - they were so nice and helpful ❤️ the cocktails were quite nice both downstairs and on the rooftop but the food was unimpressive for the price. you do get little complementary snacks with your drink though

Briodys
Dublin
03/04/2026: This is a really small Dublin bar full of friendly locals. Has room upstairs with bar for private functions. Definately worth popping in for a pint and leaving hours later!! Shows horse racing mainly as the bookies is next door.
30/03/2026: No score for food; I did not eat there.
This is a brilliant gem in Dublin, located on Marlborough Street.
The pub is very traditional, and what I have tasted is one of the best pints in Dublin.
Good prices and a brilliant, friendly landlord. All the locals in the pub made you feel welcome.
This pub is exactly what means to feel welcomed by the people of ireland.
We will be visiting again.

The Secret Garden
Galway
28/12/2025: A magical enclave. There are jars and jars of teas to choose from, a selection of pastries that are as beautiful as they are delicious, and cosy seating that includes floor tables and cushions. I wish I had more time in Galway; this would be my poetry writing hideaway.
26/12/2025: Beautiful tea and coffees here as well as being such a place to meet people to chat.
Amazing staff and sweet baked goods too.

The Sidecar
Dublin
16/03/2026: The manager maro is the best!!! Drinks were very good and they have a really good sun room for bigger groups
14/03/2026: We had dinner booked in Wilde but had a pre dinner coctail in the sidecar and were served by the wonderful and friendly Imogen. She sent us a little complimentary taster coctail while we waited for our drinks which was just the nicest touch! A really extensive coctail and drinks menu… we had trouble choosing what we wanted! The staff and service from hosts such as Imogen are what make this place 5 star!

Barr an Chaladh
Galway
04/04/2026: A great place that was perfect for us when it was pouring rain. Maik and Julie were fabulous and genuinely warm as our servers. The beer was delicious and the atmosphere was very cozy with a fireplace. We ordered a platter with fries, wings, wontons, and a spring roll, which was easily enough for two people and cost about €12. Cash only! The afternoon cost us about €40 in total (one platter and four beers).
31/03/2026: Great experience! The service was perfect and the atmosphere was really great. Lots of fun jokes on the wall and sport on the TVs.

Athgarvan Inn
Athgarvan
01/04/2026: Lovely friendly staff and, as usual, great food.
29/03/2026: What a splendid place! Ever since I was a girl after church we’d venture forth to the inn as a family and my father would carry me upon his shoulders! The owner is an outstanding gentleman and a silver fox at that. I’d love nothing more on a Sunday morning (The day of rest of course…) to relax with a fresh haddock and a book to ease into the next week. As a professional reviewer and journalist this is a must-go in the captivating experience of Athgarven!
