14/07/2025: Great salads and panini. Delicious cakes and desserts. Daily hot food options available and fabulous coffee. Very friendly, highly recommended.

10/06/2025: Stopped by here for lunch and the lady was very nice she even moved tables around for us to accommodate us without having to ask. The sandwiches and cannolis were really tasty, my only gripe was a person came in with a big dog and it seems like the owners have no problem with that, I just don't think animals should be sitting where people are trying to eat, especially when it was such a small place.

19/07/2025: Really disappointing, went here a few weeks ago, you get probably 4 good but not great dishes and the others mediocre. Forgot the drink order twice too busy chatting. Did not live up to the hype no chat from server, very dull experience.

19/07/2025: If you'd told me the best vegan dining experience I'd ever experience would be in Cork I'd not have believed it. So glad we took the time, I was blown away. I'll be thinking about this meal forever.

24/06/2025: I had the red Thai curry with chicken. It was excellent. The service was very friendly and cheerful. The lounge has a wonderful atmosphere.

24/06/2025: A very atmospheric place, especially if you love Joyce's Dublin. Food was ok. We don't drink, so having a pint or two would likely be a plus to the experience. The staff was friendly, but very... relaxed. Not a place for a quick bite to be sure.

29/06/2025: Una tarde por la noche, mientras íbamos a tomar un kebab, mi familia y yo nos topamos con Barr y Chaladh. El propietario, Michael, nos recibió cálidamente. Esperábamos la típica comida irlandesa, pero nos sorprendió mucho cuando Michael ofreció un menú de almuerzo inspirado en Asia, perfecto, ya que estaba ansioso por las gambas! Los precios eran increíblemente razonables, y las porciones eran enormes. ¿Pero la mejor parte? La comida era deliciosa! El ambiente era animado, gracias a la música en vivo, y la hospitalidad de Michael nos hizo sentir increíblemente bienvenidos. Lo disfrutamos tanto, que volvimos unas semanas después! Michael, eres un verdadero caballero, y recomendamos Barr y Chaladh a cualquiera que busque una comida fantástica y un ambiente cálido y acogedor. Bien hecho!

29/06/2025: Barr and Chaladh in Galway: A Hidden Gem! One late evening, while on our way to grab a kebab, my family and I stumbled upon Barr and Chaladh. The owner, Michael, warmly greeted us. We fully expected typical Irish pub fare, but were delightfully surprised when Michael offered an Asian-inspired lunch menu – perfect, as I was craving prawns! The prices were incredibly reasonable, and the portions were enormous. But the best part? The food was delicious! The atmosphere was lively, thanks to the live music, and Michael's hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome. We enjoyed it so much, we returned a few weeks later! Michael, you're a true gentleman, and we highly recommend Barr and Chaladh to anyone looking for a fantastic meal and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Well done!

14/07/2025: Went here in July 2025 for a get together the day after my nephew's wedding for a relaxing evening with family and friends of both families. Had a fantastic time in a room at the back of the main pub (which is in five sections, front to back). The back room is a converted shed with full glass front and glass doors that can be shut to keep the noise down from the rest of the premises if required. We had hot finger food - they have a take away in one of the sections of the pub - great idea - and the food and drink were first class. We also had a two man band playing in our section (The Bermuda County Council) and they were fantastic musicians. There was a karaoke playing in another section of the pub and neither it nor our musicians disturbed each other. Well worth a visit to this pub.

10/07/2025: Wonderful central stay in Dublin! We had a great time staying here! Although it's located above a fish & chips restaurant, it was quiet at night — the restaurant closed early, and we weren't disturbed at all. The location is perfect — super central, everything was walkable. The hosts were very friendly, gave great instructions, and left clear descriptions. We also ate at the restaurant downstairs every day — delicious food and very kind staff. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're in Dublin!

08/07/2025: Service was lovely, but the food was very overpriced, mediocre and blend. Our fish & chips, Irish beef burger and fries didn’t have any flavour at all. The burger was also overcooked to a dry shoe sole. If you aren’t in a hurry, find some other places nearby instead.

20/06/2025: Increíble bar mejor bar restaurante en douglas. Las bebidas son excelentes, la comida es increíble. También tienes una batidora de tamaño completo que me encanta. El personal es muy amable. Honestamente el más acogedor y la relación calidad-precio en la zona de douglas para comida y bebidas.

17/07/2025: We enjoyed our past visits to Brogans and made a point of going there for lunch. The service was reasonable and friendly, but the food was subpar. The breaded chicken seemed as if it had been left in the warmer, as it was overcooked and tough. Lunch for two was €40 and not value for money.

15/07/2025: I rang about 12 noon to make a reservation. The phone rang for along time and then a voicemail came on saying that they were not taking reservations at the moment. We arrived st 5.30pm to be told we had to give the table back by 6.45. They had 40 people coming at 7pm. I mentioned that I had tried to book a table and was told that they don't need to reserve tables for small groups. I said it was very disappointing - this was a special occasion. There was no reply to that. The service was poor after this, given they should have been very efficient with us. We will had the remains of our starters when the main meals arrived And no one checked we were OK with the mains. It just seems to be hard to get a well served, fresh meal at the moment. We had to leave before dessert.
