03/01/2025: Very nice espresso, tasty lasagne, really nice hand made cakes - small, light, tasty. Smaller main portion left space for dessert; just the right size really.

06/01/2025: Popped in for a quick pint on the way to the station. Great old atmosphere with a real fireplace and decor that does not seem to have changed in a long time. The Beamish I had was excellent. Will definitely go back on my next trip home to Ireland.

05/01/2025: We visited the blackbird for lunch to try the food at Trawler Boys. The food was fantastic and it was a lovely pub. We were charged €9 for a Coke and 2 pints of orange cordial, which seems very steep when you consider a can of coke is €3 on its own. I have no issue paying for cordial, but €3 for a pint of it is extreme! Other than that, it was nice

26/12/2024: Mixed feelings. They treated us great, they even found a way for us to have dinner even though we didn't have a reservation. The food was very good. The only bad thing is that we coincided with a Christmas dinner with friends and they were extremely loud, to the point of being uncomfortable and not being able to talk to the person in front of me.

15/12/2024: Entered without a table booked for 2 after a national concert hall event after 5 mins seated with ease. Have been twice before 1st time work colleague recommendation and 2nd family celebration. All 3 occasions loved great tasty food and super vegan options which was needed for the family celebration

22/12/2024: I'm a beer lover .I have been to here numerous times . Without a doubt, it's the best craft beer bar in Cork!! They offer 30 different tap beer and friendly service with cozy atmosphere !! I fully recommend this place !! Adding this place for tourist just visit in Cork .You will never disappointed!!

14/01/2025: Been coming here yearly since 2021 and it’s always a pleasure. Very cozy place with a wide array of pastries and coffee/tea beverages. Anything you want really. Despite what some reviewers have said, the staff here is friendly. They may come across as rude to some, but let’s understand that they are serving the public for over 10 hrs a day. It takes a toll on anyone and there is only so much energy you can put out there as a service industry worker. They were all cordial and I had no issues with that. I was fortunate to sit next to the cafe cat that frequented the place since its inception. The most chill cat that ever lived. Unfortunately she passed last fall, but lived a good life! I’m happy she had a peaceful environment around here till she moved on. That being said, I highly recommend this place for a nice morning start.

30/12/2024: Really lovely atmosphere. My spot on as I was wandering in the neighborhood. They really have a secret garden in the back of the store. The drink was okay but the staffs were very nice.

12/01/2025: I used to work around the corner years ago, and we would frequent The Long Hall after work to talk shop so to speak. This is a pub steeped in history and it hasn’t changed much in the years since. It was nice to pop back in and sit, watch and soak up the atmosphere.

09/11/2024: Lunch was wonderful I had tempura prawns my friend had the chicken curry both were excellent I had a Rocco dessert which was just devine Portions were more than sufficient Staff very friendly and service was quick I am sure there would be good craic at night

28/10/2024: A very busy spot,was told food would be 20min wait as everything is cooked fresh ,so true waited and omg everything from the curry ,burgers and fish came out piping hot.Would definitely go there again
