26/11/2023: We visited this place for breakfast because it had raving reviews online, but sadly just wasn't our experience. Revive Cafe appears to have been recently renovated and under new ownership. The pictures online do not correspond with the items on the menu. In fact, while we were waiting, another patron walked in with a picture of what he wanted and the employees explained that the item was no longer on the menu, as everything had recently changed. So, we gathered that the reviews and pictures of the food appear to have been made while under the previous owners. Since we were already there, we decided to stay and order from their limited menu. We ordered lattes and pancakes - nutella pancakes and traditional ones. The coffees were so strong that even two packs of sugar couldn't do away with the bitterness. The pancakes had a stretchy, gummy-like texture. I could not finish my "traditional" pancakes. At check out, the staff asked whether everything was okay. We said "no" and, even though she looked at my plate virtually untouched, she just gave a little giggle and said "oh okay." Overall, It was a poor experience with the food and certainly with the customer service. We were not expecting nor did we want anything to "make up for it," but she could have asked at least asked for the feedback since we were not the only table there that left most/all of their food. The place is nicely decorated and has a nice cafe atmosphere. So, in that regard and in that regard only, I give them a five-star rating.

12/03/2025: I get to Cork city about 4 or 5 times a year. I always pay a visit to this bar for the great variety of beers on offer. Highly recommended.

07/12/2024: ¡ATROZ, REPUGNANTE! ¡Si pudiera ni siquiera daría 1 *! Por lo tanto, estamos en Cork para el cumpleaños de mi marido, nunca había estado en Irlanda antes. Anoche visité algunos pubs esperando algo de música en vivo y algunas bebidas. De camino a casa nos encontramos con este pub con música en vivo, pensando que es un gran lugar antes de volver al hotel. Dejando el precioso pub a la vuelta de la esquina, mi marido todavía tenía la mitad de su pinta que decidió llevarse consigo. Al entrar en este lugar de mierda el barman literalmente saltó sobre mi marido y tomó su bebida de su mano y nos gritó a los dos para "¡Fuera de aquí!" Los dos estábamos tan sorprendidos por un segundo pensé que era una broma. Ahora el bar estaba lleno de gente... era tan increíblemente humillante y repugnante que los dos no podíamos creer lo que estaba pasando. ¡Traté de preguntarle al barman cuál era el problema, sin esperanza! Él estaba gritando, “¡FUERA! —Estaba tan avergonzado, que me fui. Nos alojamos fuera del bar durante unos minutos hablando con uno de los lugareños que explicó que no podemos simplemente caminar en un pub con una bebida comprada en otro lugar! Dije lo justo, pero podrían habernos dicho que dejáramos la bebida afuera de una manera civilizada, no gritando y literalmente nos echaron sin ninguna explicación! En este punto también salió alguien que dijo ser el PROPIETARIO y dijo lo mismo de la bebida. Yo tratando de explicar que somos turistas, nunca he estado en Irlanda antes y este tipo de comportamiento es ATRACTIVO, ASQUEROSO y me dejó TRAUMATIZADO! GROSERO MÁS ALLÁ DE LA IMAGINACIÓN! Como propietario debería haberse disculpado por su comportamiento y la forma en que nos trataron. BARATO, DE CLASE BAJA, ATRACTIVO, SIN EDUCACIÓN, ABSOLUTAMENTE, ASQUEROSO COMPORTAMIENTO! ¡Literalmente me dejó llorando ya que nunca en mi vida había experimentado un trato tan vil por parte de nadie! Entiendo completamente que no deberíamos haber tomado la bebida dentro, PERO no hay seguridad en la puerta para advertirle! Además, solo díganos de una manera normal y humana que las bebidas no están permitidas. ¡NO AGARRÁNDOLE LA BEBIDA AGRESIVAMENTE Y ECHÁNDONOS SI ÉRAMOS UNA ESPECIE DE CRIMINALES! ¡Experiencia absolutamente horrenda!
