11/02/2026: Had an early morning hot chocolate on a weekday morning. Service was barely polite almost surly. Hot chocolate was average at best . Nothing pleasant about the experience at all.

This was clearly an act of racism. It was very disappointing to see that this individual created a disgusted atmosphere in this lovely coffee shop.

23/01/2026: Came in to say what another review (Conor) had said... ordered the chilli chips as the picture on their website showed chips with a chili spice sprinkled on top. I don't like sauce so this was perfect instead of a curry/gravy on top... what came was soggy slop. Chips drowned in a disgusting taco sauce. Got the kebab which was drowned in manky sauce too, with breaded chicken and the worst quality donner meat I've ever seen. My wife's chips were like warm. Spice burger was, in fact, two thin biscuits of something resembling a spice burger. I'd been into the shop for a 99 when walking around clontarf and thought it seemed nice. Jaysus was I wrong. Truly awful food.

07/01/2026: The food they advertise is nothing like the food you get it’s sloppy undercooked and just straight disgusting!!! This is what they call chili chips I could a better bag of chili chips out of Tesco utterly disgusting.

01/10/2025: The pepperoni sensation bagel is delicious here. I've ordered it in other O'Briens but they just don't do it as well as Nassau does. Service is good too, workers are friendly and usually seem to be in good moods.

25/08/2025: Just played golf. The course was in excellent condition and so manicured..... The staff in the club house bar/restaurant were friendly and helpful. Mary in the Pro Shop is a delight ... couldn't do enough for us .

26/02/2026: Ordered a caramel cappuccino with full fat milk, was served a semi-skimmed milk cappuccino with no caramel syrup, was charged for the caramel syrup. Went back and told lady at the cash desk that this was not what I ordered. She smiled but said nothing, didn't offer a replacement, didn't offer a refund. Very disappointing customer service.

My family and I have been loyal, weekly customers of this establishment for over two years. During that time, the food was consistently of a good standard and the service reliable. Unfortunately, in recent months there has been a noticeable and concerning decline in both quality and customer service. On several occasions, the food has arrived in poor condition — burgers burnt, chips undercooked, and overall standards well below what we previously experienced. Delivery times have also become increasingly unacceptable, with orders arriving over an hour late. Last week, our order was mistakenly delivered to a neighbour, who had already opened the food before realising it was not theirs. We contacted the restaurant to understand what had happened and spoke with Mohamed, who apologised sincerely and assured us that, as valued long-term customers, t It is most unfortunate that I need to post this review of uncle sams in killeagh cork. Last week, our order was mistakenly delivered to a neighbour, who had already opened the food before realising it was not theirs. We contacted the restaurant to understand what had happened and spoke with Mohamed, who apologised sincerely and assured us that, as valued long-term customers, the cost of our next order would be covered as a gesture of goodwill. The following week, out of respect for the hard work of the staff and in the hope that the previous issues were a once-off, I decided to give them another opportunity and paid the full €40 for our order rather than referencing the promised gesture. Our delivery was scheduled for 7:50pm, but it did not arrive. When I phoned the restaurant, I was told it would be at least another 40 minutes due to them being “very busy.” While I understand that restaurants can experience peak periods, repeated delays combined with declining food quality and poor communication reflect a serious lack of customer care. The manner in which my concerns were handled during that call felt dismissive and unprofessional. It is deeply disappointing to see a once-reliable local business fall to this standard. Loyalty should be valued, and basic service standards maintained. Regrettably, based on our recent experiences, I can no longer recommend this establishment.

24/12/2025: I’ve been visiting this pub regularly since arriving in Ireland on the 29th of September. It’s a local pub where I’ve met many locals, and until now I’ve always felt welcome. Most of the staff are friendly and professional, including other waiters and bar staff who do a great job. Unfortunately, my experience today was completely ruined by one waiter, Eoin, who presented himself as the manager. My friend and I stepped out briefly to get food, and when we returned there was a young apprentice waiter at the door along with a few young women who said they were waiting outside for their parents who were inside. The apprentice asked Eoin if we could re-enter, and he refused entry to both us and the girls. However, the girls were later allowed in by someone they knew, so we followed them back inside. At that point, people were being served normally, including those same girls. When Eoin noticed me inside, he became immediately aggressive. Without attempting to speak calmly or explain the situation, he started pushing me repeatedly and physically forcing me toward the door, acting more like security than bar staff. This happened in front of a full pub, with many locals watching. I tried multiple times to explain and to de-escalate the situation, but he refused to listen and continued to put his hands on me. He kept insisting that I “had to listen to him because he was the manager,” though his behavior was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I was singled out despite others being allowed to stay, and no reasonable explanation was given. Even after I tried to apologize to calm things down, I was told to “shove it.” I believe this kind of aggressive, confrontational behavior is bad for customers and bad for the business. It’s disappointing, especially in a pub I’ve supported regularly and where most of the staff do a much better job

24/04/2025: I came in in around a month ago and was about to ask if they had the facilities for me to charge my phone with a cable and plug when i was interrupted and told “toilets are for customers”. I felt it was rather rude. Today i came in for a second time. It was the same man and he was rather rude, kind of flinging the food at me. I wasn’t asked whether i wanted my food toasted and im assuming they only do takeaway cups as I wasn’t offered a plate or mug. Overall poor service. He’s a white man with what I assume is a French accent, middle aged.

06/08/2025: Tue 5th Aug @7.40 front of house excellent, super friendly, cleaned up a table for us to dine. Great looking menu, well overpriced. Ordered Veggie ginger & chilli noodle stirfry , a swap of soya sauce,1 whole onion, sesame seeds.€17 Hubby orderd lasagne, €23 came out looked like a orange cheese slice just melted on top of it, so sml and thin not much of a lasnage, side salad was just pulled out of a salad bag. No dressing, nothing. Honestly an absolute disgrace to plate up this, and it it's worthy for diners to pay €35. I'm in the hospitality industry am disgraced of this pathic food I was subject to eat. Again front of house staff excellent , back staff unacceptable

26/07/2025: I appreciated the variety of vegan options available at this restaurant, which was a big plus. However, I had a very disappointing experience. The staff was quite unfriendly, which affected the overall atmosphere. We didn`t feel welcome at all! Additionally, the noodle dishes were swimming in oil, making them very greasy and not very enjoyable.

09/11/2025: Really rude got my order wrong that I order EVERYTIME my son has autism and the girl on the phone was a teenager with an attitude problem who needs some communication skills honestly the chicken was so tough im raven I spent t 50 euro on food that is downstairs the only thing that was nice was the rice I will never ever order from her mayflower all the way
