10/06/2025: And that one star was out of sympathy.......best Bad Really Bad ………Actually ….Badder then Bad……..best takeaway in west cork........are you having a laugh.......it's one of the worst takeaway I've had in Ireland....let alone cork......don't have the fried chicken whatever you do ......soaking with Grease .... tasteless and the consistency of rubber......all the other food came from frozen.....even the chips........the food was hanging.........avoid this place

28/06/2025: We went here for brunch. I got a toasted sandwich and I noticed hair on top of it. First, I thought it could have been mine and didn't say anything. But then I found more hairs inside the sandwich so they literally couldn't have been mine. Returned this sandwich back to the till. The woman at the till accused me of putting my hair into the sandwich. More than that, she called me stupid for thinking it was their hair. Instead of an apology...such terrible customer service! Rudest staff I've ever encountered.

26/07/2025: The Phoenix Park cafe is in a great location. The owners have the luxury of getting a captive audience due to the volume of people visiting the park and the lack of places to eat. I feel that the food has gone downhill. I’ve been consistently disappointed with the last few visits. My last visit was at the end of June. We all ordered lasagne and the food was dry and tasteless. There was a lack of choice of salads on the day that we visited. This restaurant used to be great. It’s a shame.

Hay poca variedad y mi pan tostado caro era horrible. El pan tostado carecía de queso y era duro como una roca - también puede haber sido cartón. El café no estaba mucho mejor. Los servidores eran agradables, pero no volveré. Esto no habría valido la pena a la mitad del precio.

23/06/2025: I had a deeply disappointing experience at Jones Farm Shop and Cafe recently. After a very underwhelming lunch where the sandwich bread was stale and the quiche was overheated and rock hard, I bought chocolate macarons from their food shop.
Shockingly, after my daughter ate three of the macarons, she got sick. When we got home, we discovered the reason, the macarons were almost a month out of date. Selling expired food is completely unacceptable, especially from a place that presents itself as a quality farm shop.
I will not be returning, and I STRONGLY urge others to check what they’re being sold if they choose to shop here, expired food should never end up in a customer’s hands.

19/08/2025: I had a really good burger. If you like the combination of burger and fries, I definitely recommend this place because it's very tasty and filling. You actually want to eat another one 😂. The staff was very nice and friendly. If you are hungry, I recommend you to come here without thinking.

06/09/2025: Was in the cafe with my family having lunch and when getting served went to pay for myself and my partner's food for the blonde young waitress to tell me it was already paid for by another sitting at my table! A few minutes later when my relative went to the counter to ask for cutlery the same blonde girl raised her voice to say "can you tell that girl to pay for her food now" which the whole cafe heard
I was mortified in front of everyone and really was made feel like a criminal for a total misunderstanding on her part which could have been dealt with more discreetly and privately instead of embarrassing their customers
15/07/2025: I am very fond of this cafe which has seats both upstairs and downstairs. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is not a great deal of vegetarian or vegan food however, hence my reason for removing one star. Lately the upper part of the cafe has closed and the tables from there put into the downstairs part overcrowding the cafe downstairs. I no longer go there as the tables are too close together and people looking for cards etc. have to lean across the diners. It is a great pity that the upstairs section has been closed. However, the food is still good.

10/08/2025: Fresh is a really nice store with a great variety of products—from fresh produce to ready-to-eat meals, you can find almost everything you need in one place. The layout is clean and well-organized, and it’s always pleasant to shop here.
That said, prices have been climbing, and the portions in the value meals have gotten smaller, which makes them feel a little less worth it than before.
Still, it’s a great spot for convenience and variety, especially if you don’t mind paying a bit extra for the selection.

The menu had the usual pub offerings with healthy country meal size.
The owner Des, went out of his way to make us feel welcome.
13/07/2025: Fantastic rustic bar a great stop off a short walk from the marina. Sitting outside on decking beside the river is idyllic and quaint, although the food menu is quite limited.

10/09/2025: Kind staff, has an upstairs seating which I love and I always come for the berry refresher, wish they’d supply more of that pasta though, but it’s amazing and I’d recommend going for a quiet place to relax and hang out or to get some work done.
02/08/2025: Under staffed and those that were on were dirty looking and rude. Cappuccinos are served with chocolate. Don’t act as if it’s an inconvenience! Tables filthy. Would not use the toilets as manky.
