23/06/2025: I had a deeply disappointing experience at Jones Farm Shop and Cafe recently. After a very underwhelming lunch where the sandwich bread was stale and the quiche was overheated and rock hard, I bought chocolate macarons from their food shop. Shockingly, after my daughter ate three of the macarons, she got sick. When we got home, we discovered the reason, the macarons were almost a month out of date. Selling expired food is completely unacceptable, especially from a place that presents itself as a quality farm shop. I will not be returning, and I STRONGLY urge others to check what they’re being sold if they choose to shop here, expired food should never end up in a customer’s hands.

26/05/2025: Review for Mrs. Jones’s Farm Kitchen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mrs. Jones’s Farm Kitchen was our fun and cozy first stop once we got into the countryside. We drove straight here from the airport, and I only had to make two U-turns, but that was pure driver error (not the directions!) (well, the driver WAS getting directions from multiple people in the car). The Bakewells were absolutely delicious, especially the berry one, and the French toast was a hit with everyone at the table. We ordered one small breakfast and one full Irish breakfast, which was quite good. That said, fair warning: the fried egg came over easy, and I’m personally not a fan of runny yolks. Oh, and the blood pudding? I was contentedly nibbling away until a helpful family member reminded me exactly what it was. Let’s just say... I pivoted to the bacon after that. The attached garden center is a gem if you’re a local looking to upgrade your outdoor space. There were plenty of people around ready to answer questions and help out. But as a tourist? The restaurant is definitely the highlight and a fantastic place to kick off your vacation with some hearty, homemade goodness. Would absolutely recommend as a first stop!

26/07/2025: I appreciated the variety of vegan options available at this restaurant, which was a big plus. However, I had a very disappointing experience. The staff was quite unfriendly, which affected the overall atmosphere. We didn`t feel welcome at all! Additionally, the noodle dishes were swimming in oil, making them very greasy and not very enjoyable.

13/06/2025: First I’ll say this restaurant has a great location and a great view of the Atlantic. They were able to accommodate me in my food requests and the burgers were quite nice. It went a bit downhill with the soup…wet cardboard has more flavour than what was served to me. I had to ask for garlic mayo three times before it was given to me, and by that time, my chips were already cold. I also asked for water for the table and was given a single glass of water, and the waitress ran away before I could ask for more water for everyone else. Overall, the food wasn’t bad but the service was terrible.

20/07/2025: Very good chipper. Suspect chips may have been cooked in same oil that fish had been cooked in but that was only mark against. No song and dance with the service but food makes up for it.

15/06/2025: My favorite Starbucks locations in Dublin are this one and the one in Dundrum. The staff are friendly, and the way they prepare the drinks is so careful that they taste even better. I also really like the bright and welcoming atmosphere inside the store.

15/06/2025: €17 for a Roast chicken dinner and I kid you not it was the worst I’ve ever attempted to eat in my life, I rarely have a complaint and I’ll move on not the end of the world but I was so so disgusted after eating in here the other day, the chicken is literally a breast of chicken fried, and so hard on the outside, not a sliced roasted chicken as you’d expect, I ate the potatoes because I was so hungry at the time and paid so much! I left everything else, I felt proper scammed! Photo is what I walked away and left!

15/05/2025: Have never ever paid so much for a cheese burger, chips and small Pepsi. Price ,€17.60. I will never go here again. It is not worth half the asking price.

15/07/2025: I know 5 across the board seems to good to be true but listen the times me and my partner came to this place it’s always been a pleasant experience, staff are always very kind and welcoming, food is always tasty leaving you full, drinks are refillable and the vibe inside is great the seating is comfy can’t go wrong, now given We’ve only ever been when it hasn’t been packed but there is enough space you won’t feel claustrophobic if you do dine in on a busy day, and location is great right by the harbour and a short walk to an ice cream stall

21/03/2025: Firstly - It has to be said that the staff are very pleasant. Unfortunately I had a "pizza" 🤢 - it was of a lower standard than a poor quality frozen supermarket pizza (actually, maybe thats what it was!) . Ingredients were poor quality, dough not properly made, nor was it cooked correctly. Quite overpriced for the standard. In short - it really was 'junk food'! Worst pizza I've ever had in Dublin.

05/02/2025: Crosbie Café is the best spot in Dublin. The service is amazing—everyone is incredibly friendly—and the quality of the food and drinks is excellent. Plus, it’s located in a place with stunning views, making the experience even better.

14/07/2025: With limited takeaway options we tried here while staying in Carrick. There are several reviews giving high praise but they are deluded. Value for money is poor, it is the same price as all my local Indians. The sauce in each of the three mains was quite thin and there was minimal meat in each. As always, anywhere that serves several cusinies can't be trusted. I was misled by reviews into thinking it was good. The food was edible and I would say it was average quality at best. With no real other options i would still consider getting food but I would disregard the other reviews and manage your expectations.

17/06/2025: Big disappointment. We were here a few years ago, the food was very good. That's why we decided to invite our guests to this place. We will definitely never go back there. After 3 pm a lot of smoothies were unavailable, but still on the board soup and fries too. Food without taste pasta salad with one dried tomato is a kind of joke. Quiche not heated enough Service just like food not the best. Outdoor tables low, uncomfortable chairs. I don't recommend it to people who value the quality of food

19/04/2025: Three of us came in for lunch after a walk to the castle. The staff were lovely and clearly doing their best, though they seemed overworked. The food really let the place down. We ordered three different types of quiche—but they all tasted the same -gooey and stale - like they were made from one big batch. The only potatoes on offer were garlic-flavoured and tasted old—definitely not fresh. It's a real shame because the setting here in Donegal is stunning and deserves much better.

15/07/2025: Butlers has the best coffee and hot chocolate, but this time it's about the service. My drink was never called out, and when I finally asked the staff member, he just pointed to one of the drinks on the counter. No simple sorry, no nothing — totally ignoring the customer. You really should train your staff.

01/07/2025: By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And over 95% of the plastic we produce and consume does not actually get recycled, but ends up in landfills, incinerators, and in our oceans. I was thrilled to see that this airport coffee shop indeed offers reusable mugs, plate ware, and silverware. That is wonderful! But I was sad to see that nearly everyone who was sitting at a table to have a pre-flight beverage was drinking out of single-use plastic-lined cups, that almost immediately got discarded to the nearby trash cans. If you have the option available for people to consume in a more environmentally beneficial way, could you possibly promote it better? That could look like a sign by the register saying that a for-here option is available for those looking to stay. It could also look like your baristas explicitly asking if people are taking their beverage to go, or enjoying it to stay. People *do* want to help mitigate the plastic waste crisis, and it would be wonderful to have your staff at the café, more explicitly communicate the option to do so. For an airport at a waterfront city, on an island country, it seems especially atrocious to create so much plastic waste. To be Irish, ultimately, is to feel a profound sense of connection to the earth. So to welcome people to and from Ireland necessitates a reconnection back to that ancestral culture, and the reverence and respect it relies on. If you’re reading this, you can ask for a mug for here! Thank you for listening to my concerns, I believe that through better communications, the limited options we have in confined airport settings can be better, and more fruitful for all involved. No need to create more mess in this world.

21/05/2025: I've been coming here for 4 years about 3 or 4 times a week, the staff here are lovely and so kind. Today there's been a violent incident that the security guard yelled at a young mother. This was clearly an act of racism. It was very disappointing to see that this individual created a disgusted atmosphere in this lovely coffee shop.
