08/05/2026: Recently, I booked tea, coffee and scones for a group of 20 in the charming Library Bar at the Hoxton Hotel (formerly the Central Hotel). I had often visited it previously when it was owned by the Central Hotel. Our Group weren't disappointed. As part of the Hoxton Hotel, the Library Bar has retained its old world charm with comfortable armchairs, calm ambience and collection of books. And our scones were delicious having been served with butter and jam. If you are in town, and you want somewhere quiet and comfortable, I recommend the Library Bar. It's great to see that this treasure has been retained. I will definitely be back.
16/03/2026: A hidden gem in Dublin. The photos on Google don’t do it justice. It’s hard to find - a hidden bar upstairs in the hotel - but it’s one of Dublin’s finest and most refined.

11/10/2026: Awful service - the three girls at the counter seemed forced to be working on a Sunday. My partner wasn’t able to see the menu and the girls were making disgusting expressions because we were communicating in another language.
Place looked dirty with so many flies. The service destroyed the atmosphere of the place for sure! The only place we hated the service during our stay in Dublin.
04/10/2026: What a lovely sandwich! Needed something before walking back to the hotel. We shared the Epic Melt and the Goats Cheese on Sourdough. Delish!
The shop is small and only has one restroom. Large groups would probably be best to just order takeaway. The two-person tables were perfect for mum and me.
Please let me know when you open a shop in Los Angeles. 😃

09/07/2026: The woman staff in the cashier seems like has no ability to smile, talk when taking your order or anything related to customer service behavior, maybe change the person in the cashier to a more friendly one! Or put the automated machine that I can order by myself without seeing that wall face.
Also the toilet is very smelly!
29/06/2026: When I asked for the toilet code, the barista gave me the code. Yet, there was a sign on the door saying toilet closed. The only reason I bothered to buy a coffee was to access the toilet. This is unacceptable.

05/05/2026: I went here for a meeting and got a latte and a croissant.
First the good, the staff was very nice and the lady who took my order was smiling and helpful. The croissant was heated in the oven instead of the microwave and was lovely.
The coffee however was extremely disappointing. The latte tasted like a mug of steamed milk a little of coffee flavouring mixed in with a spoon. It did not seem that the barista had touched my coffee. I knew there was a reason why I don’t visit Starbucks and the coffee today consolidated that!
If coffee is the main selling point, I expect a latte to have coffee in it not to just have crossed paths with coffee on the journey to my table!

12/08/2026: I went in for a quiet drink after a walk with my mum, and we ordered two cocktails — a margarita and a strawberry daiquiri.
Unfortunately, the strawberry daiquiri was very disappointing. As you would expect from a strawberry daiquiri, we expected it to be a frozen/blended drink. Instead, it came out with so much crushed ice that there was barely any drink in the glass. It was extremely watered down and really wasn’t what we had expected when ordering a strawberry daiquiri. The menu simply described it as containing strawberry purée, and there was no indication that it would be served this way or essentially be a glass full of crushed ice.
I politely spoke to the young woman working behind the bar and explained that we were disappointed with the drink. Her response was essentially that “this is how we do it, on ice.” She didn’t offer to replace the drink, offer an alternative, or try to resolve the situation in any way. Unfortunately, I also found her manner quite rude and unhelpful.
I’ve worked in hospitality for many years myself, and I understand that mistakes or customer complaints can happen, but I also know that how you handle the situation makes a huge difference. I wasn’t looking for anything unreasonable — I simply expected a little understanding and an attempt to resolve the issue.
Overall, it was disappointing, particularly as we had only gone in for a quiet drink and were looking forward to enjoying the cocktails.

05/08/2026: Very disappointing experience. The service was slow and unfriendly, the atmosphere was unpleasant, and the food quality was poor and handed over in inappropriate packing.Definitely not worth the visit, and I wouldn't recommend it.
22/07/2026: Only the 2nd time here first time was fine 2nd time well that was a waste off 16.40 euro and will not be back.. would not feed the dog that raw chips no taste well unhappy to say the least

08/08/2026: Would not recommend this place to eat. Was walking with a friend coming from the beach and decided to have some burgers. For the price they charge the burgers taste like oil and the bun is not good. They didn't have ice and when they brought the burgers, they didn't bring napkins. Don't pay almost premium burger price for this cheap food. I rather have McDonald's TBH.
