18/04/2025: The music is always extremely loud, which makes everyone end up shouting at each other. It’s not really a good place for conversation or studying. I would suggest turning the volume down. Good service and food.

28/03/2025: SECURITY !!!! Hello everyone, I was normally a regular customer of this place. Even though I didn't drink coffee myself, my friends would drink it from time to time and today I walked in and it hadn't even been two minutes since a rude man came up to me and said something like "you won't drink anything, go away" in an otherwise empty cafe and he did this in front of people. In fact, a very cute Indian family was sitting next to me and they said that this way of talking was rude and impolite!!! as a result I went to the waiter and asked him if he knew that I was a regular customer and he said he knew who I was and the person who was rude to me said that he was a security guard and that even though I was a regular customer I wasn't drinking anything right now and he laughed evilly and continued to irritate me and kept interrupting me while I was talking to the barista and humiliating people in front of people. As a result I got angry and had to talk to the barista about the issue with the customers waiting in line. This was very humiliating and annoying. I will send an e-mail to this person, I don't know his name but the incident happened on March 28th around 8 pm. This person was a security guard there..!! and he came to me without getting any information from the manager or the barista and treated me so rudely. At the end of this incident I left the place without buying anything, his attitude made me sick!

07/03/2025: I recently went for a business dinner with my partner and had a very disappointing experience. I ordered ham, bacon, and cabbage, expecting it to be served with a traditional white sauce. Instead, it was covered in a gray sauce, and I was never asked if this was okay. When I requested a change, they refused, saying they couldn’t replace it because I had already touched the dish—even the second chef and the server refused to help. The service was unprofessional, and the staff showed no interest in making things right. The restaurant was completely empty, including the bar and lounge, which speaks volumes. Rather than argue, we just paid the €44 bill and left. Given this poor experience, I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else. It’s no surprise the place is up for sale. Stay well clear!

06/04/2025: Rumours it's closing. Cheap and food is okay but not much atmosphere during the day. Nice views sitting outside on sunny days.

05/04/2025: Would have given zero in every case if I could. All decent beers off, but because they don't bother to turn the labels, you don't find out until you ask for, or order a pint on app. The staff have no idea how to pour a pint (or a half of beer/half froth) from the pumps. They also don't give a monkeys if you make any comments or suggestions. A disgrace to Wetherspoons standards, and believe me, that is not a high bar anyway. Will not go back.

17/04/2025: Kitchen shut at 4.20 today. Disappointing. If advertised as 430 , should be 4.30.."we have a few other orders in.sorry". Must be doing well to turn away three disappointed kids. If I owned it, I wouldn't be hapoy. Waitress was apologetic to her credit but was told to refuse serving us food. Does this mean last orders is 4pm? Or it depends? Or ask the chef ? who knows

02/02/2025: I've known this place since the 70's. My dad drank there most of his life. Called in recently, other than decor, hasn't changed much tbh. Lovely staff goes without saying but it's well past it's prime.

14/02/2025: This premises has no low seating for those with mobility issues. The photos on the website are incorrect. I had to change venue at the last minute for a small get together with friends. I was absolutely mortified. Disgraceful in this day and time

09/03/2025: Such a great idea. The kids get to play while the adults can eat their food in peace. The food quality is very good. Love the choice on the kids menu.

16/03/2025: Ordered Niamh’s Vegetable curry & returned it as it was easily the worst excuse for a veg curry i ever encountered as a vegetarian. Almost no vegetables, mostly mixed peppers in a small bowl of sickly sweet chip shop curry sauce. The waitress agreed to replace it with the falafel & hummus salad bowl my partner was having. Eventually after my partner had finished her meal, the same waitress returned & presented me with a grilled chicken salad. We paid up & left.

19/11/2024: Staff were lovely, very fast service. Place itself is a dump, tables were filthy, wiped down with a grubby cloth. The salt and pepper tops were vile, chicken was over cooked, salad tasted awful, soup was so bland. Glass provided was grubby and spoon had someone's chunky food remains on it. Toilets are right beside the kitchen which has an open door

13/03/2025: Had a caramel frappucino here and unfortunately it didn't taste nice!! There also isn't a toilet here. When I asked I was told You have to walk to the one on a different floor in the shopping centre or they also advised that I could walk to their other Starbucks elsewhere in galway. Will update this review if I go back.

24/02/2025: Stopped here while following the Slea Head Drive, really happy as we didn't expect to find anywhere open for lunch on a Monday in February. Friendly, relaxed vibe, good food and brilliant location with views towards Skellig Michael.

08/10/2024: Just read reviews by a UK and another by Israeli tourist...I don't think they understand the ways of rural Irish pubs, esp. as rural as Krugers. We visited from neighbouring county of Cork and though I'd passed Krugers many many times I never went down that short cul-de-sac road. We were glad we did, loved the casual natural and no BS... atmosphere. Even the grub was good!!
