09/12/2025: The girl at the counter was a bit off putting she wasn’t even looking at me when I was trying to tell her what I wanted to buy the hot chocolate was nice cakes are overpriced though in my opinion for the size the table we sat at was dirty

08/12/2025: I always come here for bring coffee special avery week. 😋 its making a day little more happier and staff its lovely, place on second floor its suitable for have company with friend and playing cardboard games. In overall its very good place, be here.

20/01/2026: Terrible. 12.50 for 1 slice of bread with 1 lonely egg. Daylight robbery. My own fault for paying for it ! Don’t waste your money.

17/01/2026: Can't fault the service at McCloskeys. Extremely efficient and friendly bar staff. The food however was very disappointing. My partner ordered a full roast dinner but what he got was luke warm microwaved dinner. It looked like it was prepared the previous day. The vegetables were grey, the stuffing was obviously reheated several times as it was dry and hard not to mention a tiny portion. The meat was cold in parts and barely warm in others and the broccoli was raw. It was hugely disappointing and he couldn't finish it. I had the hake which I couldn't eat. Mine was also reheated and almost tasted like plastic. When we arrived the place it was early evening and was empty so it makes no sense that the food was so bad. We had high hopes for McCloskeys as we loved the pub through the years. Hopefully they will see this review and endeavour to improve their food quality.

26/01/2026: First time in here and I finished off the last week's working week with a well-deserved pint. Couldn’t have picked a better spot. Handy to get to, good buzz about the place, && the staff were sound as a bell. Guinness was creamy and well kept, exactly what you want on a Friday evening. I’ll definitely be back.

16/10/2025: This venue is well located, walkable distance to the town & nice drive to Cong. Bedrooms are a good size. Bathrooms would benefit from an upgrade but are fine. Receptionist was quite cold but all other staff were very pleasant. Food was very good, though service was incredibly slow. Night porter was extremely helpful. Didn't use the leisure centre but it looked quite nice.

23/10/2025: Had a great night until they watered down my 2 drinks and charged me for 2 more when I told them they were watered down. I wasn't the only one at the bar getting watered down drinks as 2 other people beside me said the same thing. If you want value for money don't drink here! Bar staff didn't believe me until I was adamant they taste the drinks also.

28/08/2025: A lively pub staff sound bar man very entertaining and mixes with every one hes so down to earth great atmosphere great tunes Awsome night out and a very welcoming pub always busy here that's a gud sign

03/05/2025: Popped into Noms recently—service was quite slow, so be prepared to wait a bit. I’d recommend paying by card, as you'll end up getting a lot of brown coins in your change back if you use cash 😏. (Well thats what happened us) That said, the donut I had was absolutely delicious—fresh, fluffy, and worth the visit for the treat alone.

02/04/2025: I ordered some of the sauces online and it has been 16 days and running with no sign of the order being delivered soon. I emailed to let them know and got no reply. I would not recommend ordering anything online, not reliable one bit and the lack of communication is nothing but poor.

05/10/2025: Bufftet food served fast but overcooked salmon and veg were tasteless.

23/09/2025: Had a drink here and the staff and Customers were very nice and welcoming

06/08/2025: Prince of Wales hotel is closed. Don't even attempt to stay there

20/11/2025: My wife and I had breakfast. Very good coffee and great food. Very friendly staff. We will definitely come back again.

12/01/2026: I paid a visit to Ollie's bar Sunday evening around 6.15pm, there was very few people in the lounge and I probably wouldn't have stayed only I was meeting friends. The lounge was pleasant enough, the staff seemed a little distant and service was not as good as it should have been considering there was not to many people about. The saving grace was the guy playing guitar, he was absolutely brilliant playing and singing lots of rock classics, I would definitely give Ollie's bar another go for the music and hope the staff were just having an off night. The urinals in the gents are leaking so could do with a visit from a plumber.

14/11/2025: Food is really good and staff are always very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

31/01/2026: Been here many times over the years but went recently and it's turned into a proper woke kip trying to push the usual agenda. I will say the MC Darren was very good, the rest of the so called comics were very bad, including the main event where a foreign national basically ripped through irish national culture and pushed the lefty looney agenda. Won't be back. Gluck

11/12/2025: We received this communication prior to the event: "Avoid placing jackets or bags on seats so everyone has a place to sit". When we arrived, the security would not let us pass through because we had small bags with us, which contradicted with the email sent above. Another person arrived after us and the security would not let them in because they had a small paper bag (less than A4 size) from a pharmacy. This is a ridiculous service, with 2 euro per every bag stored, the venue must be making good money.

02/02/2026: There was no clean table, an empty table but full of glasses and plates. The food seemed so bad it looked like it came from a supermarket freezer, and there was no one serving you. Rating: 0!

31/01/2026: At evening time here is only huge mess with no chance to find clean table. Upstairs you can't even order anything so you have to stand in long que downstairs.
