08/03/2025: Very good place to have breakfast. Friendly staff and very good products. The plates are plentiful.

02/03/2025: The food was alright! The porridge was very loose, and the drinks we got (Flat white and a mocha) were mostly milk and tasteless. Despite that, we still had a good time as the view was beautiful and the atmosphere was relaxing.

19/11/2024: Ordered a cake for our mom’s 80th birthday dinner, the cake was described as ‘best ever in life’. Also ordered gluten free cupcakes and they were delicious. Can’t recommend Ann and the White Gables team enough, the food and service is incredible. A definite must for any occasion. Have ordered breads, cupcakes, cake and hampers from White Gables, 10/10 every time. Thank you Ann and team.

28/01/2025: Wonderful hotel with AMAZING staff. A group of us had a wonderful stay in The Price of Wales to celebrate mid-term and meeting up after covid. We had a beautiful lunch with wonderful service from an amazing lady, we had such much fun and laughs over lunch. Later, we had a beautiful evening meal in the bar followed by cocktails. The young man working the night shift warmly welcomed us back after a few hours hanging out in the local bars. He was so friendly and helpful despite the late hour. Rooms were spotlessly clean. The shower and coffee machine were both brand new. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central location,free parking, amazing staff. We will return. Thank you all Monica & Co

22/12/2024: We went to the Prince of Wales Hotel in downtown Niagara-On-The-Lake specifically for High Tea. We have been to many high teas in different towns and cities. The one here has to be the absolute worst!!!The smoked salmon sandwiches (not a traditional high tea sandwich) were served on stale white bread!! Actually, all the breads were not fresh, including the egg-filled croissants. The scones were dry and tasteless. I discovered a dark hair in mine so I sent it back. Apologies were given but it didn't reflect any changes to our bill, which was $55/per person. When my niece made the reservation she said that 2 of us were celebrating our birthdays. Birthday wishes were not mentioned by the server. Nothing. Shame on Prince of Wales Hotel for serving inferior high tea at a very high price.

20/02/2025: I had to meet my family at this restaurant today, I had a busy day so I picked up coffee on my way, so I walked in looking for my family I paid good money for the coffee so was not going to throw it away but as I entered restaurant I was met by a fella as o I told him I was looking for something people found my family and sat at table I didn't even get to speak two words this guy comes down to the table begins to betrate me Infront of my family, he made it abundantly clear that I could not drink my coffee in his restaurant which I wasn't he ten made it clear that they sell their own coffee I told him I wasn't buying another coffee when I had payed for this one I wasn't going to drink coffee in his restaurant I pulled him up on his disgraceful manner of in which he chose to talk to me about it, he raised his voice at me in a complete authoritarian manner Infront of a restaurant full of customers and my family I told him I would leave restaurant as soon as I've had a brief conversation with my family and again he kept going I told him that only I was with my family I'd have put him on his ass for way he spoke to me, I told him that his business decorum is absolutely disgraceful and un professional is This how he learned to speak to or treat visitors to his restaurant which he was very clear about saying he was the owner manager, I said he didn't have to approach me in manner he did he could have done what he needed to do discreetly in stead of berating me in front of my family and other customers, I said he could have just come to me and said to me that he wanted to have chat with me we could have both gone Somer where more discreetly and have had a quite conversation about it

12/02/2025: Stopped in here for good pub grub as have heard good things! However, what we got wasn’t up to the great standards people rave about. I ordered the lasagna, my partner got the stir fry and we got chicken wings to share. Chicken wings, couldn’t be faulted lovely and crispy. Lasagna was horribly dry, as if they attempted to heat it up and melt the cheese at the same time, with no clingfilm over it..so the mince dried out completely and clumped together. If I hadn’t of waited 15 mins already I would have sent it back. As for the stir fry, my dad’s old leather boots are of similar texture-super dry, to the point that if not washed down with a fizzy drink would definitely pose a choking hazard. My partner had enough and decided to wash it down with a cold pint of Heineken 0.0, Shur what could go wrong right? No. Glass clearly hadn’t been washed out properly or they had lemon fresh tablets in the dishwasher, Heineken with a hint of citrus! Not so yum! Over all, didn’t cause a fuss but wish I had of because the food was just not up to par at all. Lovely staff, could be more attentive but hey! Who wants staff checking in on them anyways👌

23/03/2025: Booked this venue for my baby boy's Christening and it was an awful experience. We booked well in advance advising it would be a party of 30-40 people including kids and that we would provide our own food. From the second we arrived we were treated like a complete inconvenience and felt unwelcome. We were given approx 6 small tables with no space for food. We were abruptly refused any additional tables or space even when the place was empty. We weren't allowed to move any tables over for food either so it had to be left outside by the smoking area. The main issue was one particular staff member who was extremely rude and unhelpful to anyone she spoke to and this was noticed and commented on by all guests attending. She followed one guest around antagonising her and demanding she kept her young kids "seated at all times". She argued with this guest causing a disruptive scene to the point where the guest left feeling embarrassed and unwelcome having only just arrived. This staff member then went on to argue with my own mother who tried to intervene as she was extremely upset by how we had been treated on her Grandson's Christening day. The staff member clearly had a problem with kids being there in the first place. I might have expected this hostile attitude if we had all arrived in unexpectedly but this was booked well in advance and if they weren't going to be able to accommodate us they should have said that. This was a group of close family and friends, the small number of kids there were extremely well behaved, we bought drinks all afternoon, provided our own food, cleaned up after ourselves, did not cause any trouble, and were gone by 7pm. I sincerely regret giving this venue any business, the nice day we planned for my baby boy was ruined. I will also be advising friends who have any christenings, communions etc. coming up to take their business elsewhere.

09/04/2025: The service is great but the store itself is dirty and dingy, when I went to the upstairs the tables were sticky, the downstairs is decently clean, they do not staff enough to complete orders and to keep the place clean, the food and drink are far too expensive. For a meal and a drink, you would be expecting to pay 15-25 euro, alongside this the food options are not ranged enough to allow for people with dietary restrictions

07/04/2025: Nice Costa in the market square. Very warm welcome, and food was tasty. Atmosphere quiet which I prefer.
