31/05/2025: Very rude old barman. Our group spent over €100 on pints and he then refused to serve a single pint of water, saying “this is a pub we cannot facilitate this”. He then attempted to kick out of friend who simply tried to order water with no other reason. This is completely unacceptable and ruined our day. Do not come to this pub if you want to have some water.

31/05/2025: Me and my nine friends who all ordered pints, sat down in what seemed like an average pub... We were very very wrong. As I followed my friends up to the bar I decided to pace myself by ordering a glass of water first. Unfortunately I happened to ask the rudest bar man to ever live, he proceeds to tell me "this is a pub we can't do that". As I sat down I was greeted by a firm hand on my shoulder and a angry voice in my ear that told me "your friend is after ordering water, you're gonna have to leave" I felt my safety was at risk and my night ruined. After telling him I didn't do anything wrong and refusing to leave he left and cowered behind the bar for the rest of the night as we ordered jug after jug of tap water (from his otherwise friendly staff) for the table. We will never be back and can only feel petty for the staff of this small syndromed man.

04/06/2025: Such a fun place to go,something so different to any other date night or fun night out in Dublin. Could not stop laughing the whole night and the drinks service and food was amazing.Would highly recommend trying if you haven’t already I will definitely be going back ❤️

01/06/2025: 2020: Always Great craic.pitchers have barely any alcohol in them but nachos are gorgeous 2025: Brian was class as always, Aideen McQueen tried to shock too much, but Patser Murray and Ross Brown were class! Belly laughs. Especially Ross's Grainne, see pictures ;) Free mini burgers, wings and strippers were a nice touch. And if you arrive before 7:30 you get free beer/wine :) The only annoyance was audience chatting during the show, very distracting. If you are parking at Irish Life carpark be weary of closing time at 11pm, so you will be sure to miss part of the best act at the end :(

12/04/2025: Starters were decent but the quality of the chicken was poor in the curries for the mains. Service quite slow also. Room for improvements

10/10/2024: Great traditional session when we were there. We got a table with a local and outlasted him to close it down! Find out when they have a session night and go!

30/09/2024: A local bar in Kinsale with Irish music. Did not eat there but went for the music and fun with our fellow travelers. It was a good evening.

21/05/2025: Visited Into the West in Roscommon recently and I have to say, everything was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food was top-notch — I had Roger’s Ribs and they were absolutely delicious. Tender, juicy, and full of flavour, they filled my belly and left me more than satisfied. The chips were cooked to perfection — crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside — exactly how they should be. Under the new management, the place has a whole new energy. The owners are down-to-earth, incredibly friendly, and genuinely helpful. It’s clear they care about making every guest feel welcome and at home. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Into the West is well worth a visit. Great food, warm atmosphere, and fantastic service — what more could you want?

02/06/2025: Great place in swords, they have sports on and can get busy but the staff are great and atmosphere is amazing. Food was nice, although we didn’t get a chance to try any except for chips and dip

01/06/2025: by far the worst establishment experience I have ever had in my life. The staff were absolutely terrible and rude.We were not formally welcomed to the place. When we arrived to the bar, someone from the bar pointed at a table and told us sit there, no mannerisms in the slightest. We sat at the table for 30 minutes when I had to ask the staff how the service operates in the establishment as it was my first time, to be told that it’s self service and the staff couldn’t address me in a way that’s acceptable. As I tried to talk to another employee she was walking away as I was talking to her along with talking in a harsh tone, which I did not appreciate. The atmosphere is not as pleasing or appealing as expected. My friends and myself left straight after experiencing such horrid service.

07/03/2025: Burger is class and I'm not kidding, I was only going to have a pint with my meal but never had as nice a pint of Coors ever so I stayed for a couple more.

16/02/2025: I travelled to Kilkenny on Saturday for a short break. It was recommended to me by a friend. However when I booked the stay I was given a price of 160 euro per night. I then checked their website and found that Billy Byrnes bistro was advertising a room for 120 euro. I did not mention the price difference but thought I would query this point when I arrived on Saturday evening only to be told then that the price would be 180 euro. I was shown to my room by a very pleasant member of staff. The double room (8ft x 8ft) with ensuite (3ft x 3ft ) with no hot running water. The room had a double bed, no wardrobe, no chairs, a kettle that did not work however there was a stool. . My friend and I had a few drinks and an overpriced very nice meal but of (take away standard). The drinks we consumed were paid for as we went. Separately I was charged for the meal. I registered my visa card with the company by text 2 days before my arrival. However I was asked on 3 occasions to pay for my accommodation and I obliged as the member of staff was very pleasant and professional in her job at all times. The noise level I experienced in the room from the music downstairs kept me awake until 2am. I arrived down for breakfast Sunday morn at 8.57 am when i was met by a lady who informed me with a cold response and told me that breakfast did not start until 9am so i returned to my room. When i arrived back for breakfast I at this time tried to register my dissatisfaction but no one seemed to be interested. May I add that breakfast did not include cereal and a soft drink. The tea when it arrived was luke warm. The morning when I left the manager practically ignored me. If the situation as I see it as a customer does not change significantly then I will not be a return customer nor would i recommend the place to anyone else. Myself and my friend have been regular customers over the years but now feel very disappointed at the standards offered at such high prices.

19/04/2025: Very friendly staff and great location only critique is Scone was undercooked and salad leaves very wilted and slimey. Great art and craft buts on sale. Coffee also good.

14/04/2025: True Irish pub here you can say 100% Irish, Irish food is served here and of course a full Irish breakfast, and I can tell after the full Irish breakfast you don’t need food for the rest of the day, but it all depends on how much money you intend to spend.

16/02/2025: I enjoyed a nice beer while waiting for the bus perfect pint of guinness friendly staff who were quick to start a conversation even though they were busy as I sitting at the bar on my own. Well done lads great pub next time I will try the food. But I will definitely be back.
