The Bakery at Acorn & Oak

15/08/2025: We had no booking but they were still happy to accommodate a party of 7. The food was delicious and the serve was quick and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant and hope to visit again soon.
04/08/2025: Solid take-away thin crust pizza after a day at the beach. The dough is more crunchy than chewy. The vegetable pizza has a good amount of toppings, and the cheese is evenly spread. All the ingredients are fresh except for maybe the jarred jalapenos which add a nice heat to the pizza.

31/08/2025: Best of luck to the new owners hopefully they have more respect to their regulars who came week in week out. Planned to come at 3 which was original planned for them to change to 6 pm and them refuse us at door because the lynches said it was too busy. They were well able to take my money when tumble weed was blowing across bar.

It’s always a pleasure to stop by!
I do miss the Cotton Ball beers (hope it makes a return soon)! Overall, just a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy a drink.

27/08/2025: We had Ground & Co. cater our wedding garden party a few years ago and they were absolutely incredible from start to finish! Every detail was taken care of and our guests couldn’t have been happier.
We offered three main course options along with a beautiful dessert table. The food was outstanding, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The staff were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Thanks to Ground & Co., we were able to relax and enjoy the day knowing the catering was in such capable hands. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

22/07/2025: I was at this place today and I should have ran when I saw nobody in it.If I say it was the worst microwaved turkey and ham dinner I ever had in my life is saying something my daughter and grandson had a basket of frozen chicken and chips and a flat bottle of bud and we left most of it and not once did the 3 women standing around ask was every thing OK because we had paid before eating so they could serve any muck ss save your money and stay away.

08/08/2025: Great place but -1 star cause I saw a person ordering a coffee and willing to pay with cash but not accepted. Another lady kindly offered to pay for him, when the shop could just give it for free. We all know how low the real cost of a takeaway coffee is and it is those little things that make you GREAT!
You should inform customers during order time that you don't accept cash.
04/08/2025: Decent coffee place, but far far too cramped, find a better way to do takeaway coffee or remove one or two tables

01/08/2025: We went CJ Lennox in Midleton. I am a coeliac and as they had Gluten Free options on website i called in. They had a seperate fryer for chips. I had a gluten free pizza and chips it was hands down the best one i have had since my diagnosis. My children had burgers, chips and chicken gougons. Portions were big and the food was lovely.

19/08/2025: I happened across this café on a hungry morning exiting the shopping mall.
The tables outside were full, so I sat indoors.
Food was DE LISH OUS.
I had a warm cajun chicken wrap with side salad, a custard tart, a coffee, and a glass of water.
Total cost €13.70.
Staff were busy but very helpful and attentive.
There was a nice buzz and mainly older, local clientèle.
The walls were decorated with an interesting assortment of paintings by presumably local artists.
Highly recommend, would visit again.

The salmon was a bit underwhelming, but with a tasty sauce. On the bright side, the service was attentive and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

17/09/2025: Stopped here for drinks and dinner. The chicken was delicious and gravy added delight. Mashed potatoes were fresh. My husband had requested BBQ sauce turns out it is made fresh, he is ultra picky about his BBQ and said the chef needs to bottle that!!! Luxury at a good price.

Used for a business trip so was convenient to the location.
The bed was extremely comfortable.
