16/08/2025: I have been here every year for the last 3 yrs while attending an event nearby. I have always found staff & patrons to be lovely and friendly. Good if small menu after 6pm. Always enjoyed the pizzas.
This year however, my experience was less pleasant with a strong smell of smoke from what seemed to be a smoking area, opening directly into the bar/ lounge?
It actually put me off coming again.

08/07/2025: The Mardyke is a great place to have a fun night out in Cork. It has pool, bowling, an arcade, and so much more to offer. I come here the most often for pool, but I've also participated in karaoke pub quiz nights which are so fun. It's always a great time, the facilities are all clean and up-to-date, and it has a great atmosphere. The staff is great as well; Hayley is the best and always makes sure you're well taken care of!

21/07/2025: We went to Huck’s on Camden Street last Saturday with friends and had a fantastic time. We got a table on the terrace and enjoyed the live music—great atmosphere. We ordered the Nduja and the Ham & Mushroom pizzas. Both were excellent and arrived very quickly. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Prices were standard for a city pub. The selection of draft beers could be better, but it’s grand. Definitely recommended!
19/07/2025: Good atmosphere, the waiters are very friendly.
There was a concert when we were there. (The music wasn't too loud, which was nice.)
The food is good and generous.
Some evenings, pizzas are also available on the menu.

15/09/2025: A beautiful view from a Cafe filled with beautiful staff! If you're looking for a place to enjoy some great food in a great atmosphere, Spruce Goose is the place to go. We had a function booked there today for about x30 people and the service and support was absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend dining at Spruce Goose or booking in a function for your next big celebration. Thank you to the entire Spruce Goose Team for looking after us today for our work lunch!

17/08/2025: 11.35 @ 17th August. Very rude staff. I wanted to buy somemehing small that cost 3 euro and had 50 euro on me. Needed change and told him that and he said No. He would t check the till either. Really dissapointed. Staff destroy the experience. Had to leave without purchase.

15/09/2025: we ordered three coffees (there's no table service) and brought them to our table, paying €10.35 (for three coffees). Let alone the fact that the coffees were burnt, after sitting for a good seven minutes, we were playing cards and the staff said we had to move from the paying table (as if we hadn't paid almost €11 for that monstrosity of coffees), when the bar wasn't even full. I looked at the other prices and a tiny piece of bronie cost €5. Also, there was water in a dispenser and it tasted like dirt, not exaggerating. Obviously i gave 1 star because i couldn’t give 0 stars. Highly discouraged.

23/05/2025: We chose this place because it is halfway between the Shannon Ferry and the Ring of Kerry. There are also the remains of a castle nearby. Even though we arrived at 2 pm, we had an Irish breakfast served, a large dish. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would describe it as an authentic Irish place, and not the usual restaurant for tourists.
