11/10/2025: Refused service due to having a service dog. Very disappointing.

20/09/2025: I stopped in mid morning after strolling around town. Just wanted a tea and snack nothing heavy or big. The hot chocolate brownie and ice cream I ordered was easily one of the best things I’ve eaten since I’ve been here in Ireland! Every bit was savored! I left not a crumb!

03/06/2025: The food overall was good. The bone marrow was especially delicious—rich and well-prepared. However, the rice that came with it was far too salty. The salmon was a bit underwhelming, but with a tasty sauce. On the bright side, the service was attentive and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

05/12/2025: A friendly and informal cafe where the environment feels relaxed and approachable. Seating allows for longer visits, and the overall atmosphere supports slowing down without pressure. It’s an easy place to sit back, talk freely and enjoy time without keeping track of how long you’ve been there.

23/10/2025: I love this little Cafe. It’s great for a really good cup of coffee. Especially if you need a fast takeaway. The food is away fresh it’s sandwich’s, rolls and bagels they are made to order, and the staff seem to have a handle on the ever changing taste trends. The girls that work there are full of fun and there are a couple of older lady’s that hold it all together. The first time I had coffee and food there I could not believe the reasonable prices. Love it x

01/10/2025: Very nice cafe with an outside area upstairs. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food, coffee, and cakes tastes great and is always prepared to a great standard. The high level of service has not changed over the years I have been going. One thing I have noticed though is that some newer staff are not trained properly on some of the drinks as a couple of times I have tried ordering something different and the girl would just stare at me until I ordered a coffee, to which she obliged. Besides that it is a great place.

16/12/2025: Our new favorite ritual-- a weekend stop here. So fun to watch people and dogs playing in the water and planes coming and going while having delicious a delicious meal

16/12/2025: Spruce Goose never disappoints. the kai is always on point and usually comes out quick with hardly any wait. great spot to grab a bite before a flight. Only downside is how loud it gets inside, especially when it’s busy, due to the cafe setup. If you have sensitive ears, it can be a bit much and you end up having to sometimes yell to hear one another

07/07/2025: I really like Taste of the Med. The menu is expansive, with a specialist menu for health. Every food allergy can be catered for. Coffee is good here. The staff are consistently excellent. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to leave an electronic tip. Only cash, if you happen to have some on you. I hope the management rectify this issue as quickly as possible, it’s completely unfair to the ground staff. Sara was running around making sure everyone was attended to. During a particularly busy day, a concert in the castle day, she was excellent. I could see the frustration of customers when they couldn’t add a tip to their card payment. Those passing through won’t come back with cash to tip a young person. At least I could. I have older kids so this issue really bugs me as they need the money for college life. I missed seeing Kirsten there, she’s another wonderful member of staff from my previous visits!

08/09/2025: Previously a five star for me... Prices have increased and quality and quantity decreased. Paid 11.20 euros for a salad with added chicken, where chicken was previously in the recipe. The salad bowl was not full, so definitely not great value for money.

30/10/2025: The setting is lovely, but the waiters are unabashedly snobbish. I only recommend it if you fit the criteria of an upper-class clientele. It's mediocre.

21/09/2025: What a find. Walk up the stairs to a bar back in time. The OG wooden floors and tables and bar make the vibe on point. And the drinks are top notch. We ordered off menu and was no problem.

19/10/2025: Very nice servers and the coffee was decent.

22/08/2025: We came in for a quick drink and I needed the bathroom. What an absolute disgusting room I was in shock at the state of the 1 toilet which could only be accessed by a code. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. We left immediately

29/05/2025: Superb. Amazing book shop and jewellery also!! Must must visit. And most attentive sales lady/bookkeeper. I will return
