Main Street Kinsale
Cork
09/09/2025: To be honest, I didn’t feel welcome here as a younger foreign visitor. The atmosphere felt very closed-off, with most of the crowd being 40–60 year old white locals or American tourists. Tourist and people are in here are friendly, however service from the bartender(maybe the owner) was unfriendly and included microaggressions that made me uncomfortable. I was deprioritised and even looked down on when served a beer. I felt quite sad when I leave here and ruined my trip in Kinsale. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you already fit that demographic.
04/09/2025: Great place for some Irish music and a pint, in a cosy pub.

Osta Café and Wine Bar
Sligo
17/04/2026: Really nicely located by the river. But unfortunately had a bad experience. It was not very busy, and my coffee took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. The hot chocolate came completely cold, and the cream on top was sour and gone off. I would be hesitant to come back sadly.
07/04/2026: Fabulous river side location to watch the world go by. Plus the food & staff are you class.

The Bakery at Acorn & Oak
Edenderry
15/08/2025: We had no booking but they were still happy to accommodate a party of 7. The food was delicious and the serve was quick and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant and hope to visit again soon.
04/08/2025: Solid take-away thin crust pizza after a day at the beach. The dough is more crunchy than chewy. The vegetable pizza has a good amount of toppings, and the cheese is evenly spread. All the ingredients are fresh except for maybe the jarred jalapenos which add a nice heat to the pizza.

15/05/2026: Tescos Burgers !
May bank holiday on a Sunday a group of 5 went for food , its was all good apart from the Burger . The patty they used was processed and very poor quality , not something to match the €20 price. To our amazement as we were leaving outside a chef rushed out of Tescos with a load of burgers under his arm and went into the pub , made sense why it was such a poor burger.
I've made attempts to call the manager to discuss before leaving a review but they didn't bother calling back . Id genuinely like to see this establishment do well but wont be going back for food , there are plenty of options around now that service real burgers with proper ground meat.
08/05/2026: Have to say the food was amazing got a full irish breakfast my and my friend i will be back for more 😋

O'Flynns Market Stall
Clonakilty
08/06/2025: Had the classic. Great home made sausage with just the right spices. Roll held together till the end. Onions and peppers were tender and fresh.
04/06/2025: Contained in the huge English Market SC ,this place stands out from all the other exceptional vendors. Just a small stall with usually only 3 workers, it can turn out food to die for. All sandwiches are make rite on the spot. You can customize or order any of the house specials. Grab a special, find a quiet spot, (not possible) and enjoy.

Quay Co-op
Cork
24/04/2026: Great shop, wonderful selection of all things vegetarian. From wholefoods to spices and soaps. They've got the lot. If you're looking for it and it's veggie, they've most likely got it in stock.
17/04/2026: Had fun shopping at the different vendors here. Got a few used books, a necklace, edible Irish seaweed, ginger drink, and some eco-friendly cleaning products! They have a little bit of everything.

The Harp Bar
Swords
04/01/2026: We arrived as a party of 4 adults and 1 child on Saturday evening. We we're promptly seated and treated extremely well by the staff in a professional and courteous manner. The food was excellent and all plates were served together. Based on this visit we would have no hesitation in making a return trip...especially for the wings & ribs
01/01/2026: I’m reviewing Envy Club, located beneath K Sixty Seven and run by the same management.
After returning from New Year’s Eve, my initial overall impression of the club would normally be 3.5/5 (or 4/5 if not for the very young crowd, mostly aged 19–25).
However, due to what happened last night, my final rating is 2/5. I may revise it in the future.
The main issue is cloakroom management — or rather, the complete lack of resources and planning. There is only one cloakroom window for the entire club, located in a very narrow corridor, which is already a poor setup.
While it was clear at entry that this could become a problem, what happened at 2:30 AM at closing time can only be described as chaos: panic, frustration, zero crowd control, and no meaningful organization.
When I left the main room at 2:30 to collect my jacket, there was already a long queue. I was surprised when a security guard redirected people away from the natural queueing side (closer to the main room) and told us to line up on the exit side instead. This later turned out to be a mistake, and one of the guards even admitted it contributed to the chaos.
In reality, there were two queues leading to a single cloakroom window, plus a group of people pushing directly at the counter between them. All of this took place in a tight corridor, so physical altercations were inevitable.
Security staff repeatedly intervened to break up fights, but no one actually controlled the queues. There was no discipline, no prevention of pushing or cutting in line, and no clear authority. The queues simply “lived their own life.”
It is unacceptable that a club of this size cannot organize something as basic as coat collection, especially when it creates real safety risks and extreme discomfort for guests. At one point, I genuinely thought I wouldn’t get out until morning.
I overheard one security guard say to another:
“What can you do? There’s nothing you can do here.”
And unfortunately, that perfectly summed up the situation and the level of crowd control on display.

Mardyke Entertainment Complex
Cork
05/04/2026: Came here the other night for the arcade and some karaoke. Honestly, the best night I had out in Cork recently. The young lady working in the karaoke was especially friendly and makes a great mojito! Thanks for a great night.
04/04/2026: Great place for music bingo on Friday nights (Woolshed)

Bean & Leaf Coffee Co.
Cork
30/04/2026: Stopped by Bean & Leaf on Grand Parade to escape the Cork weather, and the place has such a nice, welcoming vibe! 🌧️☕️ I was on a very strict, single-minded mission just for a hot chocolate, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing—rich, perfectly made, and easily one of the best I've had in a long time. 🤤🍫
I can't officially review the food because I only had the drink, but I have to mention the seriously dangerous-looking selection of pastries and cakes in the display case. They were aggressively staring me down the whole time, and I barely survived the temptation! 👀🍰 Next time, the lemon curd slice won't be so lucky.
To top it off, the staff were incredibly friendly and the service was top-notch. They were fast, polite, and didn't even judge me for drooling over the cake cabinet while only ordering a hot chocolate. 😂 Highly recommend this spot if you need a cozy break in the city centre! ✨👏
22/04/2026: I spilled pot of boiling water on my hand this eve in this cafe - staff were brilliant... brought me down to cold tap - a staff member came along with burn spray.. took care of me like a nurse.. sat me down - brought me more tea and came up to check my me at intervals while I stayed there with my friends - reapplying the spray for about 90 mins until we were sure it was ok - no pain or blistering thankfully... my sincerest thanks to "Nurse" Anna and team.. honestly thank you - went over and beyond the call of duty... blessings to you all.. x

The Castle Sports Bar
01/02/2026: First time won't be the last!! Great food, lovely staff great atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop and have good food.
30/01/2026: The food here is great - very reasonably priced and very generous portion sizes. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. There's a good buzz about the place, particularly on match days, but it doesn't have that typical "bar vibe" in the dining area. It's a great spot to go for a meal and for a few drinks afterwards.
4/5, one point docked due to the meat-centred menu, and for the wheelchair inaccessiblity. Otherwise, it can't be faulted.

06/12/2025: i lost my blazer at a work event yesterday if it is found pls hold onto it i'll pick it up tomorrow!
30/10/2025: The setting is lovely, but the waiters are unabashedly snobbish. I only recommend it if you fit the criteria of an upper-class clientele.
It's mediocre.
