12/12/2025: We chose Premier Inn because it was reasonably priced and close to the airport. We arrived late and headed up to our room only to discover that they were more like offices than rooms. Bare walls and a bed. Whatever though, we just needed a place to bathe and sleep before our early flight the next day. The shower though was clogged, we could only run the water for 2-3 minutes before the basin filled and overflowed onto the floor. It took another ~15 min to drain sufficiently that the next person could shower. The mattresses were hard but there was an unexpected trundle bed in the corner for some reason that we did not ask for, so at least there were options? In the morning when we checked out the front desk couldnt be bothered to look up from their work when we asked where the airport shuttle was, they just miserably pointed at one of the two entrances. The shuttle, which was mentioned in the listing was not complimentary. We had to pay €3 each to ride. Thats not a huge amount but when they make a point of mentioning it, you expect it to be included. There was no signage or warning that we would have to pay, I only found out when I tried to board. I guess you get what you pay for… do yourself a favor and spend the extra €20-50 to stay somewhere else.

28/09/2025: Went for Sunday Dinner, asked for a table waitress just went off never confirmed if she was getting a table ready. We ordered half Dinner it was small portion but to our surprise it cost €16 considering full Dinner was €17:95 this felt very over priced. Food was just okay service was a bit slow, not really value for money.

19/09/2025: Great atmosphere and craic. Very friendly crowd. We were down from Donegal. We knew half of the bar after being in there for one night.

15/08/2025: Wow, our expectations were more than exceeded. We received a very warm welcome and immediately felt at home. Choosing what to eat was quite difficult because there were so many delicious dishes to choose from. We opted for the Classic Burger and the Hot Rub Chicken Escalope, along with chips and garlic potatoes. The portions were really large, so we ended up sharing a sticky toffee pudding. Our conclusion: great food at fair prices, and the staff were cheerful and very accommodating. Thank you for a great evening.

02/08/2025: This review is for the restaurant, as Google only lists the inn as a hotel. The food is great, especially the steak, which was perfect—the best ribs I've ever had, and for a starter and so cheap, I should have ordered it three times. Absolutely worth it.

10/11/2025: The Castle is an amazing gem to have in Belturbet. The staff are really sound and friendly (which is hard to find these days) the manager is very professional and very sound. But the food is consistently excellent. Also very good Guinness 👍🏽

15/08/2025: We had no booking but they were still happy to accommodate a party of 7. The food was delicious and the serve was quick and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant and hope to visit again soon.

04/08/2025: Solid take-away thin crust pizza after a day at the beach. The dough is more crunchy than chewy. The vegetable pizza has a good amount of toppings, and the cheese is evenly spread. All the ingredients are fresh except for maybe the jarred jalapenos which add a nice heat to the pizza.

01/10/2025: We stopped in for lunch here with lower expectations after striking out several times in Donegal Town. We arrived around 1:30pm to a full house except for one table for 2. Great atmosphere. Lovely welcome/greeting from busy but accommodating staff. 4 lunch specials were offered in addition to the menu in this smallish bistro! I ordered the carbonara pasta and asked for a side Caesar salad which was no problem even though not available on the menu as a side. Hubby ordered the special chicken curry. Both were delicious! I loved the pasta but was especially impressed with the flavours and fresh ingredients of the Caesar salad. All food is made fresh to order. My husband commented on how perfectly cooked (ie not overcooked) the vegetables in his curry were. Looking forward to breakfast there tomorrow 🤗

10/12/2025: I have to say everything about our stay was desperate!! I complained on check out and was told the manager would call me, that never happened. The pool was disgusting, I used the family changing room - hair and scum all over the floor and I saw 3 plasters around the pool area! the room was big but lacked basic safety for the kids(no back on the remote , TV cables hanging out) and stains all over the carpet and just run down! We went for dinner in the bar, bare in mind I had a 4 year old and a 1 year old with me. We waited an hour for dinner for it to be served cold, breakfast the next day was beyond basic! The only reason I choose this hotel was because of the Santa experience. It was meant to be a Santa sing along lunch! I was expecting elves on a stage with space for the kids to dance in-between courses! It was 3 hours of 2 randoms singing in the middle of a restaurant with no area for the kids to dance and they weren't involved in the singing and we had to wait 3 hours to see Santa, the food was rank and cold! We were lucky it stopped raining so we brought the kids outside to run around for a bit! And the hotel had no kids area even though it's advertised as a family hotel, the lobby wasn't even big enough for them to play in and don't start me on how poor the decorations were 🙈 And to top it all off there was 2 weddings on in the hotel that night and our room was right over the "smoking area" so there was noise till all hours! I genuinely feel so bad for the staff working there, the lack of organisation and the poor facilities meant the service was terrible!

09/12/2025: Dinner was 1 hour late ,i orderd medium rare steak and peppercorn sauce .. got steak so overcooked i had to spit it out and it had knorr demi glace as the sauce ......breakfast was a joke ...no orange juice .pastries ???the few that were available were stale ...3 or 4 staff standing around cleaning tables in an almost empty room ,when people are there waiting to bep acknowledged .never mind being served .and staff getting annoyed and quite abrubt cos you ask for coffee... ...the circle k across the road makes a nice breakfast roll ...that is where i went for breakfast .....ive stayed in almost every hotel in ireland and this is the worst for customer service at breakfast ...im sort of shocked tbh ....good points..rooms are spotless ......reception staff are so nice and plenty of parking. ...i would not go back here again The coffe was good btw

17/08/2025: Damien was working as the bouncer tonight and he dropped me and my (intoxicated) friend home. Absolute gent. Excellent female singer out the back tonight. Bar staff were extremely friendly. ❤️
