14/06/2026: Loose Cannon is a cute little wine bar with a great atmosphere and a fantastic spot for people-watching. We grabbed seats in the window, enjoyed a delicious toastie, and had some excellent wine. The food and drinks were exactly what we were hoping for. The only downside was the service. This was quite literally the only place we’ve visited in Dublin where we felt unwelcome. There were no smiles, no warm interactions, and the overall vibe felt surprisingly negative. It was hard to tell whether the staff were having an off day or just weren’t particularly interested in engaging with visitors. That said, it’s still a cool spot with good food, good wine, and a charming setting.

06/06/2026: The sandwiches are excellent and the wine is very good, a bit pricey but very good.

13/05/2026: My wife had broken her ankle and we needed ice. Without hesitation, we immediately received a large bag full of ice cubes. Nice people and very helpful. If I ever come near Dingle again, I will definitely look them up. Thanks for your help!

07/06/2026: In general not a bad place just a few issues for starters no cash accepted at reception so there go legal tendor!!! Food,service & our Waiter Donal was excellent.. sink not working right in bathroom, a few cleaning issues!! Coweb etc..nite stay...kids playing on corridor at 11pm rang reception but nothing achieved as it started again at 11.30pm.. Breakfast ...again food good just cold plates..& waitress keep clearing table while people were still eating not good rule of hotel standards I thought?? 😒

02/06/2026: Beautiful modern hotel just 20 mins from the city centre ,we stayed for 3 nights, the room was large spacious and spotless , The young staff stood out to me as being very well trained and very professional with great service. We really enjoy our stay

24/05/2026: 3 of us arrived for lunch. Place was very busy. For some reason our order didn't make it to the kitchen and we waited for ages. However, staff couldn't have been better. They apologised, food arrived and was excellent. Good save.

07/03/2026: We've had 5 days staying in Salthill and this pub is very close to our digs. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and customers who are all up for a chat, brilliant Guinness. If only this place was closer!!

28/05/2026: I really liked the pub. The atmosphere is cozy and lively, without unnecessary noise or pretentiousness. There's a good selection of beer and snacks, and everything was served quickly. The staff is friendly, and communication is easy and respectful. A great place for a quiet evening with friends or just to unwind after work.

27/07/2025: Found this bar on a trip up the River Shannon. We decided to go up the River Suck randomly and check out the town for the night. John was an amazing host, great bar and a beautiful town. Highly recommend a visit!

05/04/2026: Came here the other night for the arcade and some karaoke. Honestly, the best night I had out in Cork recently. The young lady working in the karaoke was especially friendly and makes a great mojito! Thanks for a great night.

04/07/2026: We went here for our wedding dinner. It was a really nice the main dish, aren't. The starter was really, really good. Although the dessert wasn't the best, the pufflova was really underdone and was like raw egg in the dish. It should really not have been served by the chef, are the staff that would have seen the rawness of the dish. I did email the manager about it and was told that if someone had made a complaint on the night, they would have looked after us and gave us another dessert, but I don't think she understands that Irish people never complain. Especially on a wedding, and it was only me. The groom that saw that the dessert was raw. So good for the staff bad for management.

28/06/2026: Havnt been here for a while so decided to visit. Same great place. This place is located in The Carnagie Court Hotel Swords. A big carpark, lots of spaces available. A barrier rises on entering and you input a number on departure, although this wasn't the case this time, the barrier remained open. This was a Sunday. Definitely paid in this car park the last time l was there. Wheelchair accessible. Still haven't stayed in the Hotel but it still is something that remains on our list. Look forward to that. Beautiful carvery, great choices and value. Lovely choice of desserts. There was another menu available today. See image. Very nice and good value. Great sports bar. Great atmosphere. Staff brilliant.
