25/09/2026: Amazing experience! Here you can listen to rock and pop music, often revisited with country and folk influences! The times we've attended, we've closed the venue, the atmosphere is overwhelming! It's impossible to stay still!

19/09/2026: There's always something going on here and the atmosphere is incredibly good. Great live music, good beer, and friendly people. Plus, it's very well and centrally located in the Temple Bar district.

18/07/2026: We stayed at the claregalway hotel from 6th /10 July with our 2 grandchildren in a family room. First impression on arrival was 10/10. Rooms were, spacious, spotless and comfy beds. The food in the restaurant was absolutely beautiful with a great choice on the menu. We actually stayed on an extra night,,the good weather was a " bonus" . And now to the staff:--::as I didn't get all their names though, Lucy, Niamh and Alba on reception were, pleasant and helpful. Carlos in the restaurant was very efficient and a great personality. Daniel and Rion from the " kids club" were cheerful and always smiling, although I think they were glad to see Grace and Jake go home lol 🤣 they had their " heads fried" 🥺.I would definitely stay here again,and highly recommend it especially for families 🎊🥳🎉

07/06/2026: In general not a bad place just a few issues for starters no cash accepted at reception so there go legal tendor!!! Food,service & our Waiter Donal was excellent.. sink not working right in bathroom, a few cleaning issues!! Coweb etc..nite stay...kids playing on corridor at 11pm rang reception but nothing achieved as it started again at 11.30pm.. Breakfast ...again food good just cold plates..& waitress keep clearing table while people were still eating not good rule of hotel standards I thought?? 😒

14/08/2026: This place is a wee gem. The service was fantastic. I liked that you could have a drink at the bar, get menus and ordered your meal there and were brought to your table a few minutes before the dinner was served. They really pay attention to you and we were really well looked after. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit it again when I am back in the area.

18/09/2026: Wonderful gastropub in the liberties. I love their style, the design was very curated and comfortable, even the bathroom. The food was delicious. They made an exception as I asked for a pie, that is generally served only for dinner and I remain surprised both for kindness and tasty chicken curry pie. The service so good too! Really recommended!

05/09/2026: Really nice food. I had the chicken supreme and tropical Eaton mess. Flavours were great. It’s attached to aloft hotel so enter there. Would go again.

04/10/2026: bought a ice cream, the ice cream itself was nice except for the fact the ice cream was one small scoop. I had already finished the ice cream and had majority of the cone left, and, the cone was not very fresh either.

30/09/2026: Such a lovely cafe atmosphere here. Charming staff and delicious crepes.

15/07/2026: Food was good though service was a bit slow despite being at a quiet time in early afternoon. Drinks were slow being brought to the table. Food was good however, no staff enquired if everything was to our satisfaction which I think is essential when dining out. Will be back to see if service is better.

12/07/2026: Staff and place great but food definitely not worth the money. Posh snack box chicken was really tough. Plus comes in a bowl so cutting the chicken is hard. Spicy smash burger not spicy at all. Over priced for what it is and you get.

16/09/2026: We stopped here for a drink after an afternoon walk in Longford Sat 25/07/2026. First time visit here. Very nice, cozy Irish pub in a unique building filled to the brim with antiques & curiosities. Bar, table & snugs offer a choice of seating for everyone's taste. The bartender was a sharp dressed man with a ready smile and great service. A proper pint & a wine just e12.10. We would have made a second trip here but we were leaving for Dublin the next morning. Very nice pub. Food also served. Hours: Sun-Thu 12pm-12am, Fri-Sat 12pm-1:30am. Thank you. Nick & Liz, Albany, NY, USA

11/08/2026: I have recently been to DDT for two events in recent weeks, and had unpleasant experiences at both. Your bar staff are incredibly rude and impatient to all patrons. The worst was an act of ableism which is deeply concerning. They allege they are an “accessible venue” yet a wheelchair user couldn’t access your front door. Most harrowingly, said user got trapped between doors at the back and couldn’t open the fire escape to exit. When they shouted for help, a member of your bar staff was incredibly dismissive and rude and accosted her for shouting. Considering this venue literally burned down years ago, it’s worrisome that a fire exit couldn’t be adequately opened without assistance. I used to love this venue but your bar staffs horrible attitude has ruined it for me. I will not be returning, as will a lot of friends who witnessed the event the other night.

02/08/2026: Very disappointing stay – nowhere near four-star standard We stayed at Ocean Sands Hotel from 27th–30th July as a gift from our daughter, who had kindly booked and paid for a relaxing break for us. Sadly, it was anything but relaxing. We would rate this hotel as no better than a two-star property. From the moment we arrived, things went wrong. There was no parking available because the car park was full, and breakfast each morning was chaotic. We had long waits to be seated and served, with little assistance despite us being elderly guests. Tables weren’t being cleared, guests were left standing around waiting, and basic items such as teaspoons, teapots, cornflakes and milk jugs kept running out. Even the orange juice was warm instead of chilled. To make matters worse, one of the cups provided still had lipstick stains on it. The staff were generally unfriendly and appeared unhappy, with very little customer service or even a simple welcoming greeting. Our room was also well below the standard expected of a four-star hotel. The key repeatedly failed to work, the air conditioning didn’t function properly, part of the fittings were coming away from the wall, and there were exposed screws visible in the bathroom. These are basic maintenance issues that should never have been overlooked. Perhaps most concerning was what happened when we checked out. We overheard the receptionist discussing the previous guest’s complaint with members of the cleaning staff after the guest had left. We found this highly unprofessional and it gave us little confidence that customer complaints are treated with the respect and confidentiality they deserve. The experience was so disappointing that we considered leaving after the first night. The only reason we stayed was because this holiday had been such a thoughtful gift from our daughter, and we didn’t want to spoil it for her. We’ve stayed in many hotels over the years and have never felt the need to leave a negative review before, but this experience fell far below expectations. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Ocean Sands Hotel and would not return.

22/06/2026: Really well looked after at Ceol na Mara House by Ocean Sands Hotel. We stayed after doing a solstice bike ride from Belfast and they welcomed a whole load of tired cyclists. Bed was comfy, shower was hot, breakfast was good. Didn't need anything else! Would love to come back.

06/08/2026: Overall, this is a lovely place to visit but there’s some missed opportunities: The items in the shop are very expensive - as a family with 3 kids we are the target audience but nothing is enough value for money to buy anything (eg a non branded sheep for €16.60 - if this was a Jellycat for €25 you might do it). Maybe other tourists are buying but I’m not sure. A farm shop section would be amazing too - bread, milk, local produce. Secondly, when we visited, it’s mostly families or people with an older demographic but the music they’ve got on is 00’s pop, dance and rnb. It just doesn’t cater to this audience whatsoever and creates a busy, hurried vibe. It needs more chilled out, folk and ballads that are more in-keeping with the stunning surroundings. Finally, they’ve got a wasp problem which is really annoying. They could easily get some wasp traps. We’d have stayed longer if not for this. Otherwise, it’s definitely worth a visit and the staff themselves are lovely and helpful.

10/07/2026: We were passing through and didn't stop, but we would have liked to because the place is super beautiful 🤩 there's a sauna, a playground, mountains, a lake, a forest with a waterfall, it's perfect 10/10
