04/05/2026: Very expensive for poor quality food. Food came out freezing. Burnt smell/taste off chilli beef fries. Couldnt eat them they were disgusting.. Not alot available on menu. Wont be returning

11/05/2026: My partner and I walked to Farmer Browns this past Sunday 10/05/26, hoping to enjoy the evening sun with some food and a drink or two. After waiting patiently for a table outside, we finally managed to snag a spot in the sun at approximately 5:55pm. ​Unfortunately, the experience went downhill immediately. A waitress came to our table, cleared the previous occupants' glasses, and walked away without acknowledging us or providing menus. After waiting a few moments, my partner went inside to order drinks and inquire about food. She was met by three staff members who barely acknowledged her presence. When she asked about ordering, she was told the kitchen had already stopped serving food and they were only doing drinks (??) despite the posted Sunday kitchen hours stating they serve until 8pm. ​To say we were appalled by this is an understatement, so we decided to take our business elsewhere. It felt as though there was a complete lack of supervision or proper management on-site, and the staff simply decided to close the kitchen early for their own convenience. ​Management should take note of this, as it was a significant lapse in service and basic hospitality. We won't be rushing back.

10/04/2026: Been multiple times at this stage and the burgers are always amazing and leave you feeling full. Great atmosphere too later in the evening.

09/05/2026: It's true that the buckwheat crepes are sweet, what a shame! They're also quite heavy. The Breton cider is perfect. The coffee needs improvement. And to access the women's restroom, you have to ask the staff to open the door, and there's no lock either, which is really inconvenient.

03/05/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS I had a bad experience here the last time but while I was in Kilkenny I said I would give it the benefit of the doubt and come back and try again. We sat in the “newly renovated” beer garden and it was far from it. The benches were absolutely crawling. There was a dead bird beside our table with ants crawling around beside it. The women’s bathrooms were absolutely crawling with dirt.There was no chart to show cleaners coming in and out. No toilet roll available. Barely any running water and toilets covered in feces. The staff are so rude when you are trying to order a drink, and there was no need because it wasn’t busy, there was not many people in the place at this time. The disable toilet was also outside in a storage container which I found very uninclusive. Absolutely will not be back. Far nicer places in Kilkenny to go to.

02/04/2026: Five stars well deserved, excellent food and super friendly staff, most important they are listening customers. Must try best sausage rolls in town, and chicken chorizo toasted sandwich it should be awarded to the sandwich of the year.

09/03/2026: Wow. I wish Dublin had more sandwich shops of this calibre. I ordered the chicken avocado sandwich, but toasted, even though they say it’s best eaten cold. It was sensational! The bread was light and crunchy, with a beautiful texture. The filling was melted, a bit creamy, so delicious, and warm all the way through. It was generously portioned but not overly large. They obviously really care about their sandwiches and the quality of their ingredients. It was a minor triumph. The other sandwiches, with melted cheese, beef, etc., also looked so tasty. The staff were lovely too, and all for about 8 euro! Bargain! Great job, guys. Bravo!

26/01/2026: Quiet pint and watched some horse racing waiting for wife to finish shopping. Bar staff were grand, chatty and gave some local food recommendations. Lost my bets on the gee gees. Dont tell the Mrs!

05/02/2026: Great coffee but too many rules comes across cranky - Cash only Laptops only on high tables No dogs inside No ceramic cups on bench outside No ceramic cups 30 mins before close Only clean keep cups (no exceptions) Life’s too short! Compare with Shoe Lane close by. Dogs welcome, cash or card, ceramic cups outside, will clean used keep cup, lap top users welcome anywhere.

20/01/2026: The most fabulous coffee in Dun Laoghaire, probably the whole Southside! Fabulous gourmet sandwiches and soup also. Have been there many times and it’s always an absolutely divine experience. Highly recommended!

08/05/2026: The staff was really rude when I mentioned the mould in the toilet. I felt uncomfortable and our group left.

08/05/2026: Bouncers were rude and told us it was reservation only. Despite people we knew did not have a reservation being allowed to enter.

12/10/2025: Lovely little coffee shop in the heart of Kildare town. Really welcoming and friendly staff, and very child-friendly. Also serving very nice coffee!
