08/06/2025: Went after the Women's Mini Marathon for a celebratory pint. It was very busy but great atmosphere, lovely bar and staff!

30/05/2025: Absolutely love this place — and we feel so lucky that it's in my husband’s childhood town, which means a stop here is a must every time we're in Callan. The atmosphere is always so warm and welcoming, and if you catch some live music while you're there, it’s a real treat. I’m always excited to try something new from the menu, the quiches, toasties, and hot pot specials are consistently delicious. My son and his girlfriend rave about the chocolate brownies (they're truly divine), but for me, the standout is the Basque cheesecake, hands down my all-time favourite. Yum! Julia is always wonderfully friendly and happy to have a chat, which makes each visit feel extra special. Can’t wait to stop in again on our next trip to town. And a big bonus — Fennelly’s is dog-friendly, which our four-legged companions really appreciate!

25/02/2025: Upstairs will craft you an incredibly well-balanced cocktail. They put pride and passion into every drink they make; many of which include house-made infusions. Open late. This is the perfect bar and atmosphere for the beginning, middle, or end to your night.

06/01/2025: Stopped in during recent snowstorm and was received to see it open. Great food at reasonable prices!

16/03/2025: Overnight stay while visiting the distillery which is a short walk into town. The bar and room were super clean and the furnishings upstairs made me feel like I was back at my Granny's house, which is good!

05/07/2025: Lovely hotel and staff. The hallway outside our room got pretty noisy because people don’t know how to close doors quietly!

24/06/2025: Was at the Viking for a family get-together. We had a lovely meal in the bar. The atmosphere was great and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful!! A great experience was had by us all 🤗

08/07/2025: Engagement Party in the Whisky Room! We would like to start off and say a massive thank you to you and the team for a perfectly executed night! Your facilities and team were 10/10 in all areas. We would like to thank the two bar staff on duty, Rafael and Tom for the excellent service they carried out throughout the whole evening. We would also like to thank Paul, the GM for the comp’d bottle of Moet! It was not expected and set off the evening in a classy fashion. After talking to all our guests, they all agreed that the venue, specifically the whiskey room, was a perfect size for the group booking (about 40 people)! It was very clean with easy access to the toilets and smoking area out the back. Carrying on with the shout outs…..Shannan ensured that the booking went very smoothly and you are very lucky to have her work for you. After talking to the team, we understood she’s new to her position and if we didn’t know any better, we would have assumed she was part of the company for years with her demonstration of knowledge and professionalism! Shannan was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the very first steps of the booking, which definitely swayed our way of choosing this location for the engagement party!! Also, we would like to thank, Lisa, the head of marketing. Again, super friendly and very professional. We bumped into her on the stairs at the back of the venue and randomly got chatting. She’s a great character with huge charisma! Finally, to wrap up the shoutouts, we would like to thank Tang for helping us retrieve the engagement gifts! He was very attentive and ensured we got every last one. Our friend even lost his jumper and house keys and Tang was able to find them for us in minutes! Again, he’s a great character and had great banter with us on “day 2” (hungover and collecting presents haha). Thank you so so much, The “newly engaged”, Ciara and Donough

28/06/2025: Tonight I experienced a really rude bar girl, I tried to order two vodkas and black current she said no black current so I gave an alternative and she ran the card machine before i could finish my sentence, i asked and could i get a glass of sauvignon blanc too please and she cursed at me slammed the vodkas in-front of me and the card machine to pay, I left very upset I have nothing but respect for people that work in service and for someone to talk to me like that makes me never want to return

12/07/2025: We were here for dinner after a busy day. The vibe is good, great music. The vegetarian food is just okay. Not a lot of options and very expensive. The service was good and ambiance was great too.

11/07/2025: Vanilla iced latte was nice. Got the avocado and poached eggs, the avocado was sour and absolutely ruined the meal for me, horrible taste. Scrambled eggs were good.

20/06/2025: Classy looking joint, really nice inside. Cocktails were nice, coffee was good. Fine big smoking area. Live music. Didn't try food, pints were OK. Bit pricy in here but OK vibe. Unusual crowd in here with some people clearly very drunk (it was early hahaha) Pub, drunk people? Who knew. Other than that, it's a place I would go back to.

25/06/2025: Great place to stop on the way to killarney or cork food is excellent here staff are very friendly and helpful

26/05/2025: Good for EV Charging. Aaron is often the case, not enough spaces for all the chargers to be actually used at the same time, but I had no issue.

15/06/2025: Fantastic pub. Loads of space. Great place for parties. The place is spotless. Food is really good. Great place for lunch. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this pub.
