01/06/2026: Lovely afternoon tea. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only problem which spoilt our experience was the children which were running at speed around the place. Apart from anything else it was dangerous and nobody seemed to be bothered about them.

03/07/2026: €300 a night and they won’t even serve me a cup of coffee 15 minutes before their breakfast officially starts. But they did ask me to move to the lobby. Thanks I walked the whole city from 5:45am until 6:45am looking for a coffee.

18/05/2026: The staff here make your stay very special . They are so welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and the breakfasts have a large range. The smoked salmon, scrambled eggs & capers are delicious.

10/08/2026: The service from Eduardo, a really nice guy from Valencia, was outstanding. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant with good music.

09/08/2026: Lovely cafe in an iconic and much photographed little laneway coffee was good served by pleasant and cheerful staff. The stunning weather highlighted a very picturesque setting.

24/08/2026: Very good breakfasts. The scones with coffee were delicious.

17/08/2026: We went for food with high expectations, i went up to counter to order and we were told to sit down. Girl took our order awkwardly and. I ordered pancakes with just syrup and a minute later she was down again awkwardly asking me did i want bacon with it as if i didnt just tell her i only wanted syrup. Food was quick enough coming which usually isnt a good sign. They messed up my friend’s order awfully and had blasted her panini with scutter she specified she didnt want. They forgot our drinks so we had to ask for them. My mocha was just water and then when we paid the card machine was faulty and wouldn’t let my friend tap.

08/08/2026: 1st class bar service from the lone barman, brought our drinks to the table. Didn't eat here this time but the food passing by looked really good. Drink prices a bit high for its location .

24/07/2026: Went with my girlfiend and honestly the steak was proper tops!!! Would go there again…..fyi her steak was better than mine 🤣

21/08/2026: Delicious crepers. Small and very cozy, nice atmosphere and good food.

20/08/2026: A lovely place, perfect for relaxing after dinner. Excellent crepes with a wide selection of food and drinks.

29/07/2026: Tremendous venue, right on the ocean with a quaint cafe with terrific food and service. We frequented for breakfast daily on our week long stay.

22/07/2026: Fantastic shopping centre with a great selection of retail chains and small independent traders. I particularly like their charity shop which is always well stocked and with friendly staff.

15/08/2026: We came for some cocktails on my birthday and I absolutely loved every second here The decor is so immersive and the drinks are delicious

11/08/2026: This place is cool! Hard to find as it is just a door with VCC on it but if you look you will find. You can knock and wait for a space but you can also book online. Lovely space and pretty reasonably priced given how neat it is

13/07/2026: I have stayed in the Grand on many occasions, this time we booked through a third party website which was cheaper but we ended up in a very small bedroom. The Grand does many things well but the breakfast is one of the best parts about staying in this hotel, so pay the extra for breakfast and get a window seat and enjoy the view. Great location, especially when the weather is good like on this visit and if you get a chance go on Howth cliff walk,it's a great experience.

25/06/2026: Beautiful updated room, nice size bathroom. Writing desk, table with two chairs. Tea kettle and a fancy coffee maker. A fan was provided, which was needed because we were there during a hot 🔥 spell in June. The room was very hot and stuffy. Dinner and breakfast served in the restaurant overlooking the bay, just gorgeous. All the food was delicious. Great service throughout all the meals.

08/06/2026: A wonderful place to visit. Rosemary and staff very helpful and efficient. Wonderful freshly brewed coffees and snacks. In the square with lovely outside seating

19/05/2026: We stayed in the accommodation and there was 5 of us in one room and it was not comfortable, great place for a stag or hen but you wouldn't want to be claustrophobic, the accommodation was behind the pub and you went over to the pub for food , the breakfast in the morning was very slow . The girls working there were very nice to deal with. It in a good location for the rest of Kilkenny
