05/10/2025: Never again, will I go near this place? I was only here two weeks ago with my fiance. Had no problem getting in Friday night went out with my fiance and her two friends and refuse for no reason. Sorry not tonight regulars only just because I have tattoos all over my head and one on my face. I have workd at security for nine years. I am not a troublemaker. All we were going for was a good night laughing at me at the door. I asked for the manager three times and refused and refused Psa license number. I will be Making a complaint and I will be dropping by by Monday for discrimination. So I recommend people not to go to this pub. It’s an absolute disgrace. I am with the works union in a relation of this.

04/10/2025: Got refused entry here last night with my 3 friends all because one of us had facial tattoos, the bouncers instantly made a snap judgement that we weren’t welcome& gave us the excuse “yous don’t look familiar so not tonight. We requested to speak with the manager 2-3 times but the manager never came out, the security bouncer wasn’t cooperative and rude, I never believed power trip was real until this happened. Also to note the friend with the facial tattoos and his fiancé have been to this pub multiple of times over the last couple of weeks. 0 stars from me anyway.

26/10/2025: Now, THiS is how you do a carvery lunch. Chef Donal’s generous portions, loads of choice of meats ( or fish) on the menu, plentiful supply of veg and types. 25 euro for main course carvery selection and dessert. Equally large choice of desserts to choose from. Fully serviced bar with huge selection of local and international brews and drinks available. Sport enthusiasts have the big screens to watch if interested which are on low volume during lunch. The staff are super friendly from the front door to service and kitchen. The venue were very accommodating of our wheel- chair guest in our party. There is loads of parking outside. We came in height of Sunday carvery lunch at 1.30pm without a reservation and were seated in minutes despite the restaurant being bustling with punters. Wow, wow, wow.

14/10/2025: Kind and knowledgeable staff, great food, ideal location. We had our staff lunch here, and everything was great. I highly recommend the Murphy's Rock Bar, and we will more than likely return.

23/09/2025: Superb location beside beach. Staff are friendly and though food isn't egon ronay it is adequate. Breakfast buffet is freshly cooked in smaller quantities and is fab. Dinner is adequate. I was in dog friendly garden room which had a patio and secluded area with table and two chairs. My dog was very at home there. Underground car parking is very tight and lift slow from this area. Enniscrone is a bit out of way down narrow roads. But I am recommend it. Package price off peak for golden years is really good. I will go back.

20/10/2025: Arrived this afternoon for a bite to eat and we were instantly approached by a young girl who checked our IDs, two minutes later a more senior staff member came down to us and wouldn’t accept our IDs, he was extremely rude, he wouldn’t give us food menus without seeing ID even though we go there very frequently and are all 23+, absolutely shocking experience, wouldn’t recommend the place to anybody. Senior staff member should be embarrassed by his carry on.

21/08/2025: Went in to order drinks,the bar man served 4 people before me,it was like he didn't even see me,hence to say I went somewhere else and spent my 60 euro,53 year's of age I never had this happen, plenty other places to spend money

24/05/2025: Looking for lunch, after a long journey, the staff were welcoming and friendly, we ordered a medium all breakfast, omelette, chips, coffee and chips. The food was all excellent and well priced

23/06/2025: In my opinion this is the best place to get a cappuccino in town. It is affordable, drinks are good and it has a nice patio by the river. We visited Sult almost daily while staying at the university residence.
