29/10/2024: I have always liked going to this place as it seems a little more up market than the usual Shannon Industrial places you go to eat lunch. Today I was not happy. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, waitress asked what salad do you want and I said whatever salad is available except egg.. it was a pretty clear instruction. we were the only ones there at the time as it was just turned 12pm. What I got was a toasted ham cheese and onion sandwich! not even close to chicken. I told the waitress straight away and not even a "sorry our mistake" was uttered. she then went about ordering the sandwich again and from the distance she called over and said "do you want lettuce" I said yes please, I want white bread, no butter, and what ever salad is available with chicken as long as there is no egg.. I sat and waited until 12.26 and had to actually go ask the waitress to see if my sandwich was ready as I had not been waiting almost half an hour. she slowly walked off to the kitchen and came out with it straight away.. again it was not what I ordered, I got a dry chicken and lettuce sandwich which I was now forced to eat as I was already running late to return back to work. When I complained as I was paying she said "its a make you own sandwich, you have to pick what you want in it" to which I told her I DID PICK WHAT I WANTED .. "I asked for a chicken salad sandwich, when you asked what salad I said all of the salad whatever is available" ... again I didnt get a sorry or any kind of reply just !do you want your receipt".. I wont be eating there again if you cant even get a chicken salad sandwich right! ... I must add, I have ordered this before and it came out quickly and perfect, todays issue was with the waitress who ordered it wrong twice..

06/07/2024: I asked for a hazelnut Frappuccino with no whip cream, had a caramel Frappuccino with cream on it. They were 4 staff being the counter at 8pm it wasn’t buse. Table were dirty, staff was just talking to each other. When I left I asked for direction, the person just told me to google it.

19/05/2024: It’s a nice place but it won’t open at its usual times when there is a concert on in the 3 arena which is really annoying. They won’t open till late in the afternoon.

26/08/2024: Really well made food, tasted absolutely delicious. Staff couldn't do enough for us and the Mancunian front of house was so friendly. The toilets left a lot to be desired but the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff overshone any negatives.

26/07/2024: My 2 friends and I were Very, Very disappointed with our stay here. We were give a price by email two weeks before. On our checking in we were charged over and above the price given. €90 each with out breakfast. On questioning the cost it was reduced to €73 although some of our group were charged the lesser price of €60 all for the same accommodation. The bedroom had no electrical plugs only a double adaptor. The bathroom has not been updated I'm sure from the 80's. We will not be back.

27/11/2023: Today I had the horrible experience of dealing with what I can only describe as ignorant and rude. To the god awful grey haired man working there you should be ashamed of your customer service skills and your bias judgmental attitude. I will never buy from this shop again. And I feel so sorry for the staff that have to work with this man. Shocking behaviour.

17/09/2024: First time disappointed with toppers at the Lyrath. Decided to treat myself, so popped in for a quick lunch. I ordered the chicken wings, as usual, but this time I was, unfortunately, not impressed. The "wings", more thighs than wings, were charred and very, very tough and chewy. The sauce was also much hotter that normal. I was given a sample taste of a new menu addition, calamari strips. These were very tasty and I will be having those in future instead of the chicken. The coleslaw type salad that accompanied them, however, smelt and tasted "off", I did tell the waiter, so hopefully he passed it on to the kitchen before it was served to other customers.

30/04/2024: What a great surprise! We visited Tupper's for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. I had the slow cooked pork belly and my wife had the curry and we shared a dessert. From start to finish it was delicious...far better than you'd normally expect for a hotel bar....even a five star hotel bar - but we'd heard great reports and they weren't wrong. The food was restaurant quality but served in much more relaxed surroundings - and there was a great selection. Ideal for lunch. A special mention for Alex the bar manager and Lydia on the hotel reception who was extremely helpful and professional. We'll be back - and intend to be over the coming days.
