15/12/2024: We called in here on Saturday afternoon for a birthday treat for our mam. We were quickly seated by a lovely lady and given menus. It was very busy with a mix of people. We gave our orders for 2 chicken curries and rice and 2 omelettes and salad. All were very good. We had coffee and teas afterwards. The staff were finishing up for the day and everything was left spotless but we never felt we had to leave or were in their way. Great spot.

02/11/2024: I would recommend to come here 🙂🙂🙂 my sister got her favourite drink, ice tea and it was the best she ever got 😁 lovely village 😊

20/07/2024: There was no choice of dessert early afternoon. 2.30. Two pieces of rubbery cheesecake that had clearly been sitting there at least since yesterday. Nice server but no evident training or involvement from management.

13/02/2025: Two, takeaway sourdough sandwiches, friendly and efficient, Nicola, hope I got spelling right, very friendly, will be back again for sure.

20/10/2024: Cuatro miembros de la familia reservaron una comida el viernes pasado en ruta desde Cork y estábamos deseando una experiencia de cinco estrellas como un placer. Lamentablemente, sin embargo, la comida era más dos estrellas que cinco estrellas. Dos de nosotros comimos filetes de mala calidad y vinimos con cuatro o cinco obleas, finas rodajas de papa. Pedimos un lado de patatas fritas y nos cobraron la friolera de 7 € por estos. La hamburguesa de cordero a casi 28€ venía con los extremos quemados de una bolsa de patatas fritas congeladas y de nuevo la carne era de muy mala calidad, mientras que la cuarta persona pedía pescado y patatas fritas y pedía una ensalada en lugar de la verdura. Un tazón de mezcla hojas mezcladas se presentó sin tomate o aderezo y por este brebaje cobraron 6 € cuando se suponía que debía ser en lugar de la verdura! ! El menú del desierto también era pobre y solo dos miembros del grupo eligen postres que no eran más que un bocado y costaban 10 €. Agregue una familia extremadamente ruidosa de estadounidenses en la mesa de al lado y una mujer que procedió a empujar a un niño en un cochecito alrededor y alrededor del comedor durante al menos quince minutos. No es lo que esperarías de un supuesto establecimiento de cinco estrellas. En general una experiencia muy decepcionante. ¡¡No volveremos!!!

29/09/2024: La comida era de primera categoría. Las ostras crudas eran enormes y deliciosas. No estoy seguro de que alguna vez haya tenido alguna que fuera tan gruesa y tan ancha. Mi plato de venado también era muy bueno tanto con el venado y un pastel de venado en miniatura. Los vinos por copa eran muy buenos con grandes vertidos. Nuestro camarero letón era muy bueno - amable y profesional. No hay quejas mías - una gran experiencia.

26/05/2025: Lovely pub atmosphere and amazing food. Just a good classic pub. Definitely should visit if you're in the area especially for food :)

18/05/2025: When we arrived at the Village Inn we were given the choice of where to sit as it was very very quiet. We were the only people in for food at that time. The pub is an old typical Irish family pub. Very cosy and clean enough. The young girl serving brought us menus when we chose our table, she asked at that point if she could get us drinks. We both had a soft drink. When we decided what we wanted from the food menu the same young girl took our order. My partner had the beef nachos and I had the garlic mushrooms which were absolutely delicious, the best I have had too be honest! Both portions were very generous! Afterwards, for our main meals we ordered chicken korma with half & half rice & chips, and my partner ordered the steak sandwich! He absolutely loved his, the portion size again was very generous! I had the chicken korma which again was a generous portion! The chips were absolutely amazing, fresh and very hot, the korma was also very hot, the way I would expect to have a meal put down to me, however I felt it was very bland as was the rice which was disappointing! The young girl serving was friendly enough but was quiet. However she was efficient and presented very well, very clean etc! After our food we left to go on a road trip. I would return here but would make a different food choice for my main meal.

19/06/2024: We visited this hotel while in Waterford. The staff here are friendly, polite, mannerly and helpful. The bar/restaurant staff particularly is what stands out. If I was to be critical I would say I preferred the old food menu, the fish and chips is not the same as it once was. Lovely spot to visit.

24/04/2024: Lovey food and ambiance. Great staff. Was so nice to wind down and enjoy a meal after browsing around boutiques in Waterford all morning. Had the roast beef and it was as nice as the frock I bought earlier. Treat yourself and enjoy a nice meal by the sea.

02/01/2025: Good warming food on a cold day. Service was quick and the food was delicious.
