27/10/2024: I don’t often leave reviews, but after my visit to La Cote on Friday, I felt compelled to share my experience. I was genuinely surprised by the level of unprofessionalism displayed by what appeared to be the restaurant manager. I personally witnessed this staff member drinking a glass of wine while on duty, which struck me as not only inappropriate and disrespectful to guests but also a clear health and safety violation. For a restaurant of this calibre, such behavior is both unexpected and concerning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses this issue moving forward.

27/10/2024: Unbelievably good food and great and friendly service on a very busy night. It was friendly, a great menu and fun. The hake was outstanding, and the plate of cheese, which we shared, had all the cheeses in absolutely perfect condition. Terrific!

10/11/2024: 2 coffees and cakes 18 euros seems way too expensive for a local café My partner had the chocolate scone and was sick afterwards could have been off Waitress was absolutely lovely

13/11/2024: Great Full Irish and Vegetarian Breakfast with a proper pot of tea (5 cups). Full Irish included black and white pudding and Vegetarian was also innovative from the standard fare. Well worth a stop. Very friendly staff

28/10/2024: When we stopped Enniscorthy during our Wexford trip, the weather got miserable and we’re soaked! They kindly let us in with my dog so we all could have some rest for a while. The lady offered my dog some water and whatever we needed to have some cozy time. I cannot thank enough the cafe enough for everything! All decorations and atmosphere were amazing and I highly recommend having Mocha especially this cold season. I’m so glad we found this fantastic dog friendly café and I will definitely go back next time when we visit Enniscorthy again 🥰

21/10/2024: Fantastic spot right near center of town. We went in before a night at the Spiegeltent which is only few mins walk away. Food was excellent ( had the lamp shank and was perfect ) great wine selection. We had great service and fun with the waiter, Paul. Excellent value, definitely be back.

17/10/2024: I have enjoyed so many lunches and dinners here and never been disappointed. Had my birthday dinner there and I'm still thinking about it. Food was superb. Lovely wines. Excellent professional but friendly service. Simply wonderful

30/10/2024: We were here over the weekend, the food was nice enough, nothing special. The service wasn’t great, asked for dessert menus and they never arrived so after 20 minutes or so we paid and left. No one came to see if we wanted another drink or anything either while we were there, it was busy but plenty of staff. The other thing I noticed was all the staff were male, I noticed this in the summer too. I just thought it was a bit odd not to have a mix.

29/10/2024: Have been in search of the best seafood Chowder in the County of Wexford. The Strand Tavern in Duncannon had been highly recommended. Visited here yesterday on the hunt for what was highly recommended by friends and family usually a pretty decent recommendation. Unfortunately had not considered that the last bank holiday before Christmas would have meant a massive influx into the this very beautiful corner of South Wexford. But unfortunately the Dubs had arrived on the scene by Sunday teatime of the Bank Holuday they had consumed all the Chowder that could be found. So we were relegated to Spicy Chicken Wings as a starter and my lovely wife had a large Goats cheese Salad. To be honest and fair play to all it was delicious and the serving of chips on the side was more than adequate and well done. Everything looked really fresh, particularly the salad. My daughters pint of Guinness was clean and well poured and formed nicely down the glass as it emptied. My Yellow Yellowbelly pale ale was also served at a really nice temperature. So despite our disappointed at the no Chowder we had a lovely early evening meal two drinks and a very friendly wait staff. In fact the general feeling was one of good friendly happy banter between the staff themselves and with their customers Well-done

28/10/2024: One & Done! First dish I ordered was pickled with salt. Dish was replaced but waiter didn’t even take the time to apologise for the inconvenience. Just average food, service, ambiance way better options in the direct vicinity.

27/10/2024: Must say lm disappointed by the service received l ordered loaded pulled pork nacho fries and received nacho fries without any meat at all. Firstly service received on the 27th of October was very poor and disappointing the person taking the order was highly not interested maybe because it was close to closing time and he was preoccupied from the back talking to someone else or seemed to be on the phone. Highly disappointed to be honest this is a first for me for all orders made and l don’t think l will be returning. Wasted money and very poor service.

19/10/2024: One of our favourite places to eat out at, but this time we were disappointed with one of the main dishes. We had the duck pate to start with, which was delicious. Our mains were two burgers with bacon and cheese and a haddock deep fried in bread crumbs with chips and peas. We had chips and salad with the burgers. The burgers were very good but the fish must have been sitting around while the burgers were being cooked, as it was greasy and chewy. It is a shame, because this is the first time that we have had a less than good meal at Mannions. We did mention it to the staff when we were paying and they did offer a discount but as my husband had eaten the fish, we paid the full price. With New Ross being so close to the sea and fish readily available it was a shame that this dish was not treated with respect. Will eat there again but maybe not have the fish.
