15/02/2026: I've been here today for lunch and let me tell you. I never give 5 stars rating in every aspect but this place deserves more than this even! The staff is amazing, they are angles sent from heaven. The nonna working the kitchens is so warm and friendly, the place feels like I'm not in Ireland anymore but I'm in Italy and the food is BOMB DOT COM! and yet the prices are justified. I fear this is my favourite place in this country 😤😤😤 10/10 just go here once.

22/02/2026: Organised a party for my daughter here. We originally dealt with Kevin Moes who was excellent and looked after our every needs. They organised food for the guests which was real quality too. On the day Mark was excellent 👌 made everything work like clockwork everyone left delighted 😀

15/02/2026: Delicious and incredibly accommodating (Sunday lunch at the restaurant for 4 adults, 3 babies). Roast, pork and fennel ragu, arancini was excellent. It’s hard to find a lunch spot that is actually really good and also allows us to comfortably bring small children.

27/01/2026: Busy restaurant close to Bray Harbour. Decent food and friendly staff. No reservations taken so you may have to leave your number and get a call. Good time to take a stroll along Bray promenade. Breakfast menu available until 12pm and a decent selection for the rest of the day.

18/02/2026: An absolute gem in Glendalough. Stellar homemade cakes, clearly prepared with passion and care. Service was exceptional and professional. I felt like I was at home, relaxing atmosphere and good food. 👏👏👏

08/01/2026: We were hiking in the area on the 5th and deliberately planned our route to stop here for a coffee. After a long walk, we arrived to find the place completely closed, with doors and windows shut. There is no website and Google incorrectly shows it as open, which is very misleading. This is very frustrating, especially as there are barely any other café options nearby. A total lack of information is not acceptable when walkers and tourists are relying on it.

15/02/2026: We had a bit of a booking mixup but Alex sorted us out so quick and was so kind!! Food was also delicious and the rest of the staff were super! Cocktails were also delicious, some of the best I've seen in Dublin ♥️

22/12/2025: A thoroughly positive impression, both from the very friendly and welcoming service staff and the beautifully maintained ambiance with its view of the water. Good coffee and tea, delicious snacks, and homemade cakes. We'll definitely be back! Please note: the café is somewhat hidden, located directly on the riverbank. A small footpath leads from the bridge right to the café. Further upstream along the river, there's a large parking lot where parking is free on Sundays. From there, it's about a 2-minute walk to the café; simply stroll along the riverbank and you're there.

07/03/2026: The place is nice, but I had a bad experience with the food. The fish I ordered wasn’t fully cooked — the butter part was still liquid and not crispy so I couldn’t eat it. I told the waitress, and she took my plate back to the kitchen, but no one came back to our table to apologize for the inconvenience.

04/12/2025: Very disappointed with the new version of scampi. All 4 of us ordered it remembering the previous occasions we enjoyed. very hard bread crust coating, totally overdone. Couldn't eat mine, please use a more tender tempura style coating.

09/11/2025: The Grove is a hidden treasure. Food is reliably good, the staff are friendly and helpful and the music on Thursday nights adds to the atmosphere. Worth a visit 😊
