The best restaurants in Wicklow

15/02/2026: I've been here today for lunch and let me tell you. I never give 5 stars rating in every aspect but this place deserves more than this even! The staff is amazing, they are angles sent from heaven. The nonna working the kitchens is so warm and friendly, the place feels like I'm not in Ireland anymore but I'm in Italy and the food is BOMB DOT COM! and yet the prices are justified. I fear this is my favourite place in this country 😤😤😤 10/10 just go here once.

16/03/2026: A nice little cafe, bested in the foothills of the Wicklow mountains. Very popular with walkers and locals alike. Plenty of location filming in this area too. For a little village of its size, it seems to have no problem drawing big stars. Irelands very own Hollywood

23/03/2026: Stayed here for 2 nights, which included St Patricks day! Lovely little pub, that was already busy when we arrived in the afternoon (possibly because of St Patricks day the next day). Room was on the small side, but perfectly adequate for 2 nights - and we learned that renovations were underway. The restaurant is fantastic, we ate there both nights - special mention for Siobhan, excellent service! There was a lovely atmosphere on a busy St Patricks day, with live music in the beer garden! Great location too, with a big car park behind the pub and a bus stop just along the street for easy access into Bray.

16/03/2026: My daughter and her friend had a joint 21st in the inside/ outside area. The atmosphere was fantastic and Mark was excellent. So attentive to the guests and making sure the girls were happy with everything. The food platters were another highlight. I would definitely recommend it as a celebration location!

27/01/2026: Busy restaurant close to Bray Harbour. Decent food and friendly staff. No reservations taken so you may have to leave your number and get a call. Good time to take a stroll along Bray promenade. Breakfast menu available until 12pm and a decent selection for the rest of the day.

10/11/2025: Lovely little café that caters for breakfast and lunch. Great coffees too. You order downstairs and then find a table upstairs. Cute decor, helpful staff and great healthy food options. Have a look at the small store afterwards.

16/03/2026: A bar located on the Bray Coast, with a very strategic location. It has a lovely view of the sea from inside. The service is excellent. The food is plentiful, served at the right temperature, and presented beautifully. The atmosphere is a bit noisy due to the large number of people inside. You can watch rugby and football matches, but you need to book well in advance. One slight drawback, in my opinion, is the table arrangement. However, despite this, I was given a table after waiting 20 minutes.

22/12/2025: A thoroughly positive impression, both from the very friendly and welcoming service staff and the beautifully maintained ambiance with its view of the water. Good coffee and tea, delicious snacks, and homemade cakes. We'll definitely be back! Please note: the café is somewhat hidden, located directly on the riverbank. A small footpath leads from the bridge right to the café. Further upstream along the river, there's a large parking lot where parking is free on Sundays. From there, it's about a 2-minute walk to the café; simply stroll along the riverbank and you're there.

08/03/2026: Horrible place,, senior female staff member has a contemptuous attitude to customers and I'm not the only one to make that observation..tables and chairs in outdoor section belong in a rubbish skip..pity as it's a great location otherwise 👍

16/03/2026: Had a refreshing Kopparberg cider at the Grove Bar with my friends, such a great spot to unwind! The atmosphere was lively, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

07/03/2026: The place is nice, but I had a bad experience with the food. The fish I ordered wasn’t fully cooked — the butter part was still liquid and not crispy so I couldn’t eat it. I told the waitress, and she took my plate back to the kitchen, but no one came back to our table to apologize for the inconvenience.
