17/03/2025: We had absolutely the most divine experience here! Although our large (US tourist) group arrived when this intimate restaurant was already full, they accommodated us by setting up chairs and tables in the sun by the river. We had several different desserts, all of which were absolutely amazing, as well as several pasta dishes, including the best bolognese I've ever had anywhere, including in Italy. The sauce is incredible and the pasta noodles are absolutely out of this world. The proprietress is a lovely, friendly Italian who honestly must be a gift from the heavens. This is a *must visit* if you are in Arklow.

15/03/2025: Great bar and lounge But the food is only A1 and service is top class. I’m a tough marker but this was a top place for food. No booking turn up. Staff should be aware of praying degreaser spay around near diners., I was hit on arm with blue spay and certain in got on my diner and pint. Only I had two fork loads left I didn’t kick up.. pls be aware of others spraying chemicals around.

13/03/2025: We were desperately searching for food options in the Wicklow Mountains, having mostly come across cafes serving burgers and pizza. Craving something more substantial, we stumbled upon this cafe. The vibe was distinctly small-town, and the cafe seemed to be a popular spot with locals. We ordered a full Irish breakfast and a vegan breakfast, which, by the way, is difficult to find; hardly any cafes offer vegan options. The coffee wasn't great, but that's alright. The iced coffee, however, was good. The view from the restaurant was also lovely. It's a sweet little place in the Wicklow Mountains, and if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely visit. Prices are non expensive.

21/03/2025: Wowee! We're soo stoked we got to visit! We're travelling from nz and added Ireland into our itinerary mainly just to get the opportunity to pop in to this cafe. We were super lucky and got to meet Steve and Dave as well, yay us! What lovely people, such a treat to be able to eat at this amazing cafe but to meet these guys was just the icing on the carrot cake (which was delicious BTW). Beautiful food, super friendly people and what I know will be the highlight of our trip. The shop was also amazing, full of fresh, beautiful veges, breads etc. Will definitely visit again if we're ever back. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience. 💚

Served me Al dente, perfectly Italiano pene pasta (like me likes). It was absolutely incredible, found me pot of gold! Keep it up lads! Pwease keep it up 👍

31/03/2025: I would highly recommend Creperie Chez Louis. Both the sweet and savory crepes were excellent, amazing flavor combinations and crispy-declicious. The service was prompt and friendly as well and the atmosphere was lovely.

12/04/2025: I was invited to a trial shift at Camile Greystones with the understanding that it would be unpaid for four hours. During this time, I observed some concerning practices. Staff members were handling food with bare hands, despite gloves being available (though seemingly just for display). Hygiene and proper training were clearly not a priority — I received minimal guidance, mostly just on how to take orders at the till and how to pack bags. Even more disappointing was the lack of cleanliness. The bathrooms were in very poor condition, which raises serious concerns about overall hygiene standards in the restaurant. To make matters worse, I was contacted again and asked to come in for a second unpaid trial, this time for four hours (5 PM to 9 PM). In my opinion, this is an exploitative practice. If this is how they treat potential staff, I can only imagine how other areas are being managed. Not recommended.

03/04/2025: Food was exceptional. We got a takeaway and even my husband said it was delicious now on the top of our takeaway list! Vegetable crunchy everything was so fresh it truly was a feast for the senses. Thankyou!

16/03/2025: Just out of a casual drink with the family when the bartender got rude and smart with me over a small matter, he said my card wouldn’t tap and I forgot my pin so I asked in kind to reboot the machine and I’ll pay with a different card his answer was “I don’t know your effing pin” and I asked please don’t shout or be smart with me I am paying and trying to. His voice escalated and he provoked a question saying “what you going to do? Come behind the bar and I said if I have to I will” that was my error I should not have reacted to his provoking. I then got shouted at by the bar manager in addition and that security have been alerted and will me on their way so I said okay no problem I’ve done nothing wrong and to add to this the two senior bar staff members in and intimidating manor started shouting across the full bar in front of other customers in an attempt to provoke me further which Im sure cctv can point out. I pointed out that I am not the one shouting to anyone across a packed bar as it’s not professional I am going here 10+ years as my local and haven’t encountered this ever, I love the music here and love the atmosphere The bar manager did not even let me speak to him when he told me to leave , he wouldn’t listen to my side of the situation he said he had heard enough. I think it’s poor that management would not hear both sides before coming to a conclusion I will praise security from Adrian , not that he could do much in the moment but he offered comfort and an ear to listen. I don’t expect anything to come back from this but he listened and heard me out which was something I am grateful for. I was very disappointed today. Not sure if we will be back. I know I won’t get any apology from the management. I am sorry how I reacted to their shouting but it seems their chauvinistic character might shadow out all customer service experiences now. Just sad to experience on a family day out
