29/10/2024: I have always liked going to this place as it seems a little more up market than the usual Shannon Industrial places you go to eat lunch. Today I was not happy. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, waitress asked what salad do you want and I said whatever salad is available except egg.. it was a pretty clear instruction. we were the only ones there at the time as it was just turned 12pm. What I got was a toasted ham cheese and onion sandwich! not even close to chicken. I told the waitress straight away and not even a "sorry our mistake" was uttered. she then went about ordering the sandwich again and from the distance she called over and said "do you want lettuce" I said yes please, I want white bread, no butter, and what ever salad is available with chicken as long as there is no egg.. I sat and waited until 12.26 and had to actually go ask the waitress to see if my sandwich was ready as I had not been waiting almost half an hour. she slowly walked off to the kitchen and came out with it straight away.. again it was not what I ordered, I got a dry chicken and lettuce sandwich which I was now forced to eat as I was already running late to return back to work. When I complained as I was paying she said "its a make you own sandwich, you have to pick what you want in it" to which I told her I DID PICK WHAT I WANTED .. "I asked for a chicken salad sandwich, when you asked what salad I said all of the salad whatever is available" ... again I didnt get a sorry or any kind of reply just !do you want your receipt".. I wont be eating there again if you cant even get a chicken salad sandwich right! ... I must add, I have ordered this before and it came out quickly and perfect, todays issue was with the waitress who ordered it wrong twice..

05/03/2025: Probably the worst fish n chips ever…… Simple. I wanted fresh fish and chips. He said the fish was fresh. Ok fish and chips please. The fish was small and dry and could not have been fresh. And they are not chips but frozen fries. Got back and ate some of the fish and threw the lot away…… we stayed hungry.

03/11/2024: Myself and my Partner were away for a long weekend in Lahinch and decided to go here for a few drinks. When we arrived at the door we were greeted by Tommy the owner and he chatted away to us throughout the night telling us a bit of history about the bar and the locality. The bar staff Erika and Dáire both looked after us for the night and were full of chat. Would definitely recommend this bar to anyone visiting very nice warm and welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

01/09/2024: What a fabulous bar that we came across on a recent stay in Lahinch. From the moment we arrived until the time we left my family and I were treated so well. Tables were found to suit our needs as grown up family of 6. The place is so clean, tidy and cosy. The atmosphere was lovely, plenty of people in there but not so crowded that you couldn't move around with ease, lovely smell from the candles lit around the tables as well. We didn't have food as we had been for dinner before we arrived. The music was great, some fella with his guitar but it wasn't too loud so we could still chat away. Excellent service, would absolutely recommend. Hats off to Tommy and his team, they are a credit and this is exactly how a bar should be run.
