05/03/2025: Probably the worst fish n chips ever…… Simple. I wanted fresh fish and chips. He said the fish was fresh. Ok fish and chips please. The fish was small and dry and could not have been fresh. And they are not chips but frozen fries. Got back and ate some of the fish and threw the lot away…… we stayed hungry.

12/05/2025: The guy with the white hair who claimed to be the owner had the worst attitude. When we asked to play pool he asked for ID and said he was busy with actual customers and that pubs are for drinking. When he asked us to hurry up with the IDs, we decided to leave as it wasn’t worth it. Worst service I’ve ever experienced, was also waiting 15 minutes before he came over to me. One of the rudest people you could interact with. Would not recommend 👎

28/02/2026: Ordered a king prawn chow mein, Was bland, tasteless, no salt it was difficult to eat, The munch box should be renamed to a chip box as it contained practically no chicken, Curry was horrible. Update: Said id give it another go, Got a personal munch box, Once again it had 90% chips, 2% chicken, 2%onion rings and 6% veg. It was genuinely horrible, Highly recommend going somewhere else this place is horrendous. 10 euro for a box of chips 😀

13/08/2025: Last dined here 2014 after poor dining experience, spend half the year in Clare, love Ennistymon so thought give it another go. Wishing we hadn't, roast beef, arrived on mash and looked good, sides were more mash and a bit of a carrot, slice of turnip and green beans all soggy, asked about roast potatoes and they brought me some that must have been left in the oven and were rock hard. Husband had pan fried chicken , same sides as myself. Pleasant young staff, no checking about food, place lovely. How hard is it to present this food with fresh veg and potatoes. Shame as we won't be back and would advise others too avoid
