02/06/2025: Decided to have dinner in this pub been under new management and I heard it was serving good food. Much disappointed with both of us served really over cooked chips we tried eating them but horrible plus way too much garlic butter in a sandwich. Bottled water left on tables very warm should be served cold when guests sit down. Disappointing. I wouldn't be rushing back. Staff prompt and efficient.

31/05/2025: Best of the best! When O’Donohues pub went under new management—it was by amazing folks who appreciate the unique charm and history of this pub. It’s still Fanore at its finest!! The food and service is consistently wonderful—we’re working our way through the menu—plenty of interesting, delicious options! The prices are an excellent value for top quality —not gratuitously inflated because of location. It’s worth a trip to Fanore just to eat here, and —on the way— see the breathtaking coastal views of R477 and the Wild Atlantic Way! Bravo, O’Donohues!!!

30/11/2025: Very good take away. Quick service. Straight to the point. Food small bit on the salty side. But very tasty

28/07/2025: Got a spice bag that was not a spice bag. Just very salty chicken and chips (no peppers or onions). The chicken was also very hard.

25/07/2025: Decent food however I find the staff to be very rude from my past experiences, my most recent one being where I placed an online order, which was rejected from the kitchen as the restaurant was “closed”, the restaurant was not in fact closed and not advertised to be closed online for another hour, I’m still currently waiting for a refund from my bank as the money was taken out of my account. I find the staff very rude when you place an order in person as they are very snappy and make you feel like an inconvenience. In conclusion the food is only decent and not worth the hassle of the rude staff

09/08/2024: I've ordered from here two times, both have been slightly disappointing. The tapioca pearls were slightly stodgy and didn't have a very fresh texture, and the drinks tasted very artificial. The service was okay, but the shop isn't a very nice place to sit in while you have your drink. Overall I feel there's a lot to be desired, 4.9/10.

15/06/2025: I did not have a good experience here this evening. I visited here with friends, and there was a wedding party who were stuck up and just awful, this place is up a back alley by the way… We came out for a while, and were not allowed back in by the door staff, the wedding party clearly took preference. …cheap and cheerful. Not my cup of tea, I will not be returning here.

30/09/2024: Though it was very quiet when we got there as we were there just after A Tractor run had been there. It's off the beaten track so unless you are looking for it you wouldn't know there's a pub there. It's a very old pub with lots of original furniture etc. Outside looks like it has the potential to be a nice beer garden in the summer that host all sorts of events. We hope to return again in the near future.

03/12/2025: Only takeaway in town that puts its prices up after midnight. Taking advantage of customers coming out of pubs late at night. Avoid!!!
