25/10/2024: Excellent meal & excellent service. I ordered a rare steak & wow I’m a steak lover but this was exceptional. Salad, baby potatoes, sautéed onions along with a glass of Merlot. I don’t often eat alone but was made to feel very welcome & comfortable. Unable to finish meal but have lunch sorted for tomorrow! Top class, thank you to the chef Gregory and waiting staff. A special thanks to Silvane, she has the X factor!

21/10/2024: This was an unbelievably very good restaurant. Heading into winter on the West Coast of Ireland, the food, the service, and the atmosphere including the playlist was simply sublime. I’m not being paid to write this review, but it was probably one of the best meals I have eaten out in a very long time. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavour; from the steak to the asparagus to the potatoes, bread and peppercorn sauce I don’t think I have tasted better.

08/03/2025: Ate here tonight family of 5 adults and 4 children. Everyone enjoyed their meal and desert! Very attentive staff, great food, family friendly. Highly recommend, we will be back.

29/12/2024: After a panoramic view of the Atlantic via Mamore Gap stopped for dinner with family. The Thai green curry was huge and fantastic, fresh and full of veg, as was the cookie sandwich. Great service from a well trained and friendly crew!

06/04/2025: My husband and I stayed here this weekend as we were attending a family wedding in Downings. The hotel had a lovely warm, friendly atmosphere from the minute we arrived! We had food in the bar and it was really good. Breakfast the following morning was also very good and had a great selection! The rooms are lovely with good big bathrooms and very comfortable beds. The staff in the Carrigart Hotel are outstanding and it is genuinely the best customer service we have experienced in any hotel we have stayed in. The waitress in the bar was amazing and so welcoming and friendly to us. The manager is an absoloute lady and couldn't do enough for us, from late checkout to offering to leave us down to the wedding venue!!! I will definitely be returning to this hotel and would highly recommend.

24/03/2025: Came here on the 24th as a couple, just passing through and called in for a bite to eat. Served by Mary who was a lovely hostess. I went for the chicken curry with chunky chips and better half went for scampi and garlic potatoes. The two meals were beautiful. If I had to be a little disappointed, it would be that the portions of rice was small as you can see from the photo. I’d certainly recommend this hotel for a feed.

24/10/2024: Arrived late into Carndonagh & there weren’t too many options so I walked down to Zafraan. Really friendly guy taking the orders. Ordered Jalapeño Popper burger meal - two patties, lots of hot sauce & and huge bag of crispy chips, all for under a tenner. Ate the whole burger, which was gorgeous, but could only manage half the chips unfortunately. Would definitely recommend Zafraan 👍🏻

15/04/2025: Went back recently for their steak night. I'd the ribeye, friend had the steak sandwich. Both were very well presented. Unfortunately my steak was over cooked nearly welldone when ordered medium rare, friend steak sandwich was actually cooked brilliantly, seems to be very hard to get a, steak cooked to requested temperature so a bit strange that there was such a difference. The Peper sauce was amazing. Atmosphere was very dead, it was early on in the evening but still felt very sterile and still. I'll be back to give it another shot anyway

09/04/2025: Calls itself a Gatro pub, that’s a bit OTT, but very good pub grub. Steak night on Wednesday, my ribeye had some tough gristle but overall was cooked to my liking. Very good Guinness.

10/02/2025: Great place to go for family fun - we enjoyed the pool, arcades & bowling. Nice choice of drinks and snacks. The bowling alleys don't run as smooth as they could but otherwise a great experience. Parking also in very high demand so finding a space can be hard.

17/02/2025: what a bunch of cowboys you are, just been into KFC in Letterkenny tried to order at the till, but told no, have to order at the board, when the order came, there were 2 drumsticks which I don't like, and tried to explain that as I tried to order at the till and explain this, the server went to another team member who then said that I had no choice, even though while ordering it doesn't say comes with drumsticks wether you like or not. I then asked for my money for over €22 back. Also the manager was in a meeting and could not be disturbed, how convenient. Complete disregard for customers
