16/03/2025: The Railway Tavern never disappoints. It's classy and cozy at once, with a gorgeous ambience and atmosphere. My kids love watching the chef work at the huge grill. Food is spectacular, perfectly portioned and beautifully presented. Steaks were sublime and perfectly cooked. Kids' menu is brilliant and the cabbage side is a highlight. Staff are friendly and attentive. Already looking forward to our next visit.

16/03/2025: Don’t buy a gift voucher. Our experience was ruined by the verification needed for a gift voucher. We had a digital voucher which appears to be suspicious and according to staff easily copied’. We had to email the manager the original voucher and were left standing in a busy bar like criminals waiting for judgement. It was a humiliating experience which ruined an otherwise beautiful evening.

15/03/2025: It was such a wonderful place. Highly recommend! I got very homely feeling and everyone was so welcoming and helpful. They make the best food. Service was also so good. It is a must visit and worth it. Also it is a warm dine in for couples too😃

10/02/2025: Travelling through Glenties, Co. Donegal, my wife, myself and Ruby, our Cockapoo dog stopped at The Thatch where we enquired about Sunday Lunch. As we are only too well aware ‘Dog Friendly’ premises are few and far between in many parts of Donegal. No problem to the Thatch, they were more than kind welcoming to us all. We had an excellent Lunch, I had the Special, Lamb Tikka Masala, Rice and Chips, with a Nann Bread, which was specially made with No Garlic, my wife had Asian Salmon, with Asian Salad and Fries - The food was all of Hotel Standard, better than many of the Hotels we have eaten in. Roisin, who was in charge and Nadeen who served us were most attentive, they could not have been nicer. In addition we had wanted to watch the Ireland v Scotland Rugby Match, again no problem. Before finishing my wife went for the Berry Crumble which was delicious ! We will not drive past The Thatch again - the place is well worth visiting, loved it ! To the owners, your Staff are well worth holding onto, they are a worthy addition to your business, oh and hold on to the Chef 👍

20/03/2025: Lovely bar and great food. We even got a quick game of darts on the Friday night. Best chowder in Donegal. Great chips. We didnt taste the Sunday lunch but omg we wished we had they looked delicious. Ps great Guiness.

14/04/2025: I had a truly lovely experience at this restaurant in Donegal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a peaceful charm that makes you want to take your time and enjoy every detail. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely delightful… fresh ingredients, beautifully balanced flavors, and a thoughtful presentation that showed real care. And the view… simply breathtaking. Overlooking the sea, the scenery adds a magical touch to the whole experience. Watching the waves while enjoying a beautifully prepared meal felt like a gentle escape from the everyday rush. A beautiful hidden gem in Donegal. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

02/04/2025: We where able to book the studio at an hour's notice for three nights, the accommodation was excellent, spotless and had all one needed. In the centre of the town, and our young Cockapoo was made more than welcome, even in the bar. Staff and locals absolutely friendly and the proprietor and his wife, made us feel relaxed and welcome. Highly recommend the bridge inn for atmosphere and if you want to explore the local scenery of Donegal. We will definitely be back. Betty Charlie and Mitzi.

20/03/2025: Where to start, great food, staff,entertainment, spotless surroundings, Keith the manager who went above and beyond as did all of his staff. Look out for Elvis Pawsley when you visit, just ask anyone in the bar....

17/02/2025: what a bunch of cowboys you are, just been into KFC in Letterkenny tried to order at the till, but told no, have to order at the board, when the order came, there were 2 drumsticks which I don't like, and tried to explain that as I tried to order at the till and explain this, the server went to another team member who then said that I had no choice, even though while ordering it doesn't say comes with drumsticks wether you like or not. I then asked for my money for over €22 back. Also the manager was in a meeting and could not be disturbed, how convenient. Complete disregard for customers

21/02/2025: We stopped in here for a spot of dinner and really enjoyed the very traditional atmosphere. The bar man and server were lovely, friendly and so helpful. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the second night for dinner as well. The food was lovely, freshly cooked and the dessert were sweet and tasty. There was a lovely log fire burning in the background and we’re definitely recommend here for dinner.

16/02/2025: Pretty close to Letterkenny town. People are nice and friendly. Food is awesome. The meat is so fresh.

01/03/2025: Living locally we eat here often. Today they had a special called Chilly Beef. It's commonly called Chilly Concarne. ITS SUPERB!!!

26/03/2025: I've stayed here twice perfect location 5 minutes from Donegal town I recommend this hotel room is clean and comfortable car park is ample and safe staff are really friendly in reception thanks for making me feel welcomed as I'm on my own staff are polite and friendly making me feel welcomed thank 5

10/04/2025: Not that impressed with this hotel, small rooms with a strange ramp to the bathroom that was quite dangerous. Nice bar area, great drinks and bartender. Food was just ok at dinner and breakfast. Not near anything else worth checking into.

17/03/2025: I can't recommend the Station House in Letterkenny highly enough. From my first stay in 2013 to my most recent stay last week, I always choose the Station House and it is always a great experience. The rooms are clean, spacious and extremely well maintained, and the service provided by all of their staff is exceptional. I have also eaten in their restaurant many times and always found the food to be great quality and delicious. Finally, they are very conveniently located - in easy walking distance of the Letterkenny restaurants, bars and shops. If you're looking to stay in Letterkenny you can't go past the Station House.

21/02/2025: We stopped in here for breakfast after checking out from our Airbnb. This is the second time we visited here and were very impressed with the options on the menu, the value for money as well as the quality of the food. We had a lovely pancake stack with maple syrup, fried egg and bacon. The coffee was freshly brewed and full of flavour. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely be back next time we visit Letterkenny .

19/02/2025: Sad, sad news of hotel closure. First stayed at Mc Grory's as a 9 year old child, while holidaying with my parents and family. Nostalgic return trip Valentine's weekend 2025, as a 72 year old. The picnic tables outside are new but the traditional long benches are a feature I vividly remember from the early 60s. Culdaff beach is still stunning and unspoilt. We were first guests to check in to the hotel at 12.30 pm on Friday 14 February as the hotel re-opened after renovations. The welcome by the staff was warm and special with a glass of 'bubbles' to add to the experience. The valentine meal offer that evening was exceptional value and the food was very tasty. The rooms have been refreshed. The hotel is a very welcoming place where new friends are frequently and easily made. The hotel was busy with everyone in good form. There was no sense of the impending closure. Sad to reflect that we were probably the last guests to check out on Sunday 16th. The Mc Grory's name is synonymous with Culdaff. Hope it remains.
