26/09/2026: We had a delicious meal at this place years ago. This time, 1 dish was tasty, while 2 were quite unimaginative and bland. No vegetables whatsoever, not even some raw vegetables. 1 waitress was super friendly and cheerful, and 1 had a face like a grumpy old man. The atmosphere is otherwise okay, though you do have to like a lot of screens with constant advertising...

16/06/2026: The beach hotel is a great spot to stay at in Downings. I stayed here with a few friends and we were very impressed. The rooms were extremely clean, comfortable and held to a very high standard. All the staff throughout the hotel were brilliant. Amy at reception, all the bar staff right through to the night porter all had us well looked after. You couldn't go wrong with this hotel, thanks all!

02/06/2026: Had a family dinner here and food was delicious and staff where very attentive. Best turkey and ham we have had in a long time. Would of been 5 star only we didn't get to sample the cheesecake as they have ran out! Will be back.

14/10/2026: I had been struggling to find somewhere to buy the large boxes of kosher salt apart from Amazon until I came across Kate’s Kitchen online. With the free shipping over €60 offer I put 3 kosher salt in the basket and easily found other items we needed in the house (at very good prices) to bring it above the €60. I was more than happy to give the business to an Irish company rather than to Amazon. Thank you, Kate’s Kitchen, and I will be sure to plan a trip to Sligo so I can visit the physical shop soon as well ❤️

28/08/2026: I ordered a few things from the online store and they reached my hands in Dublin less than 24 hours later. Great prices - products exactly what I was looking for, at a very reasonable price - Super communication and updates throughout. A superbly enjoyable (and rare!) experience. Would happily recommend.

10/09/2026: The Food was Spectacular, the atmosphere was warm, I wasn’t expecting to find BBQ like this here and I am so Happy I did!

10/09/2026: Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our order. One of the dishes we ordered was not delivered at all — instead, we received a very spicy sausage that we did not order. The other dishes were also very disappointing: the potatoes, cauliflower, and sauces were not tasty. On top of that, the portions were very small. Overall, the food did not meet our expectations. We hope that the quality of the dishes, portion sizes, and attention to customers’ orders will be improved in the future.

13/08/2026: If you're in the area, it's worth stopping for a bite to eat. We were served by two girls who were incredibly friendly, and the food was all delicious, especially the burgers. Friendliness, empathy, and excellent service.

25/08/2026: Welcome stop on the way from the airport to Donegal. Newly refurbished and clean. Only down side is the staff dont seem too enthusiastic but hey ho any port in a storm.

27/09/2026: Cutlery wasn’t clean looked like they’d been thrown in a dishwasher and taken straight out l, the soup was nice but very small for the price and the bread didn’t come with butter I was told they’d bring me some out but they never did. Also the tables are practically connected to each other they’re so close I had to listen to a bunch of Americans talking about how Irish they are. Not ideal though in fairness the cafe can’t do anything about the Americans

02/09/2026: We had the dog with us while travelling by Bundoran and had heard that this was a dog friendly spot. It definitely is. The food was a perfect lunch, I'd the tacos and herself had a toastie. Both were very tasty, the coffee was good but the range of soft drinks limited.

05/08/2026: Fresh, tasty food. Great service and friendly staff. They went out of their way to make sure we got everything we wanted, even went to the trouble of making fresh onion rings for us after they had run out. Best feed we have had in a long time. We will definitely be back once we have come out of the food coma 😋 High recommend travelling to Newtown for a decent feed 👌

11/05/2026: My brother John and I were met with a warm welcome. The Persian Bar doesn’t sound very local but you couldn’t get much more Irish! A local family owned bar with an interesting history. Great location in a lovely town. Marian is a great host, very friendly and informative, friendly local characters and an amazing pint of Guinness. This place has a warm heart and hearth too 🔥❤️💚we loved it and would make a point of coming back here next time we do a trip to beautiful Inishowen.
