18/05/2023: Dinner at Aniar was expected to be one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland and the food lived up to those expectations. Meticulous detail to taste, texture and presentation. One of the best meals we’ve experienced. The only negative preventing a five rating was the attitude of the sommelier. He was not approachable and when we tried to engage, his responses were borderline rude. In one instance we asked about a German wine he was pouring as none of us were familiar with the varietal. He then went on to ask us where we were from. Not satisfied with our answer of Canada, we told him Vancouver. At this point he tells us the varietal is a German Pinot Noir. Of course everyone who drinks wine has heard of it, so why the need to make us feel foolish? In my view his job is to share his knowledge of wines so as to maximize his guest’s experience with their food. In fairness, we all opted for the wine pairings which were spot on. In summary, incredible food experience and full credit to the sommelier for his ability to find perfect pairings. Just suggest the sommelier tries to work on his “people skills”.

24/05/2023: Pub très sympa. 1ère soirée avec 1 chanteur, l'ambiance était vraiment bonne. Les plats sont copieux et bon, pour un tarif raisonnable. Ils ont aussi une belle sélection de bières (et cidres). Nous y sommes retournés une 2nde fois, cette fois-ci un vendredi soir; la route était fermée pour y installer tables et chaises, donc nous avons pu mangé à l'extérieur, avec un groupe de musique irlandaise ! Et c'était top ! Allez-y tôt ! Afin d'avoir la place que vous souhaitez . Nous étions 2 adultes et 1 enfant.

23/05/2023: My favorite dining place in Galway. Coming here almost every week for great burgers, wings, mozzarella sticks and fries. Everything we've tried was always amazing. Staff always super welcoming and friendly. Just too bad you can't make a reservation in advance but never waiting more than 20 minutes even during busy hours.

25/05/2023: Superb food. Oysters raw and fried were amazing as were the fish mains we had. Fabulous flavours! Good choice of wines available too, can definitely recommend the Alsace Reisling. Staff were friendly and restaurant had a lovely ambience.

23/05/2023: Went in here for a capachocho. Paper cups only. No seating free outside so went upstairs. Nice large area with plenty of seats. Capa cho cho wasn't bad. Went a bit overboard with the froth and chocolate. Used the loo but no paper to use. Not convenient.

25/05/2023: Enjoyed two Full Breakfasts here during our trip to Ireland. The portion sizes were great (we were full when we left) and everything on the plate tasted amazing. Service was a bit slow at times, but they were busy so can't fault them too much for that :) We would definitely return in future :)

16/05/2023: I Had a gorgeous breakfast here today with My Daughter. They have a great kids menu, juices , highchairs and staff bring the food quickly which is essential when eating out with a hungry toddler. Would highly recommend a visit. I’ve been eating here for years and always have a wonderful meal and experience. Worth a visit.

21/05/2023: Popped in for a quick drink, no table for all 5 of us and quickly the staff were at hand and grabbed two small tables to put with each other and grabbed an extra chair to create a 5 seating option. Very accomodating to the child we had along with us also.

Waited so long between courses, over two hours later we finally got our desserts, issue with bill, check carefully 😡😡 Speakers either end of our table, notched up the volume 😡😡 disappointed with service
