03/07/2026: I really enjoyed our stay at The Heights. My room was very cute and clean. The staff were all incredibly friendly. Special shoutout to Ken from The Mill Bar. He is really knowledgeable about local whiskey and helped us with a last minute reservation at a Michelin rated restaurant in Dingle. In my opinion, the hotel has the perfect location, only a 4 minute drive to the center of town but also in route to the national park and the Ring of Kerry. I would definitely stay here again. 💚💚💚 Tip: when traveling in the summer, ask for a fan at check-in.

27/06/2026: The rooms were grand overall. The only downside was the heat-it was roasting while we were there, so it got a bit uncomfortable at times. Thankfully there was a fan in the room, which made a big difference. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was absolutely lovely. What really stood out though were the cocktails made by Alex. You could actually see the care he put into making them look special. He took his time decorating mine, and it genuinely felt like he wanted every guest to enjoy the experience. Fair play to him! Alex is a brilliant barman-always smiling, always in good form, even when there wasn’t anyone at the bar. And to be fair… hes not hard on the eyes either! 😂 Would definitily recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a lovely place to relax and have a great time. We’ll happily be back.

31/07/2026: We visited The Tanyard for our anniversary dinner and came away feeling a little disappointed overall. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere that makes it a great setting for a special occasion. The service was also excellent throughout the evening – every member of staff we interacted with was genuinely friendly, attentive and professional. To start, we ordered the scallops and the beef tartare. While both dishes were well presented, we felt they lacked a little seasoning and depth of flavour, so neither really stood out. For our mains, we both ordered the fillet steak. My wife’s was cooked perfectly to her requested medium rare and she really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, mine arrived closer to medium than medium rare, which was disappointing, particularly given the price point. At €45 for a steak, I also expected a higher-quality side than the chips that were served, which reminded me more of fast-food style fries than those you’d expect in a restaurant of this calibre. Overall, the service was the standout and certainly deserved five stars, but we felt the food didn’t quite live up to the standard or price. With a few improvements in consistency and attention to detail, it could be an excellent dining experience.

04/07/2026: Went to to tralee for two days seen this place was down there but didn't look at opening times thinking surely all week. Didn't open until the Wednesday and when we looked at the place looked like it hadn't been open in years very run down on the outside

13/08/2026: Literally the best burger and chips with curry sauce I have ever had and only cost around €10 being open 5-10 it is a must even if you aren't hungry. This alone will be something I look forward to having when coming back in the future.

23/07/2026: Great food at a good price compared to the surrounding shops

01/08/2026: We visited Harrow to celebrate a joint birthday with my friend. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined our special day. Our waiter (an older man) acted extremely arrogant and unprofessional. While eating our salad, I accidentally used the wrong knife set out on the table. Instead of professionally replacing it with a clean one, the waiter took away our clean knife and left us with the dirty, sauce-stained knife from the previous course to use for the next one. He did this to every one of us. It felt like a deliberate attempt to condescend, embarrass us, and ruin our mood on our birthday. Our guest had to step in and explicitly ask him to replace the dirty cutlery with clean ones. Later, he brought me my dessert (crème brûlée) with a spoon, making his previous point about the knives completely pointless. Leaving dirty cutlery for the next course is a gross violation of basic hygiene and hospitality standards. We are deeply disappointed by such snobbish and disrespectful treatment. Dear Donna Browne, Thank you for your reply, though it is deeply disappointing to see that instead of addressing the core issue, you chose to gaslight and deflect. Let's be clear: making cocktails that are not on the menu and guests being polite at the end of a birthday dinner do not excuse unprofessional and passive-aggressive behavior from your staff. Your waiter did not just experience a "delayed replacement." As stated, he actively took away our clean cutlery and left us sitting with sauce-stained, used knives from the previous course until our guest was forced to explicitly demand clean ones. Claiming this was an innocent mistake in a busy restaurant insults our intelligence. Brushing off a clear violation of basic hygiene and arrogant treatment as a mere "misunderstanding" shows a lack of accountability. At 80–90 euros per person, guests expect basic respect and hygiene standards, not snobbish attitudes followed by corporate deflection. We will not be returning.

21/07/2026: My partner and I reserved a table for two at 7:30 pm. We were very satisfied with our visit in every respect. The service was attentive and the food was served quickly. The drinks menu had a good selection, including non-alcoholic wine, Prosecco, beer, and cider. The non-alcoholic white wine was a bit too acidic for our taste. We really enjoyed the food. The three-course menu was a good deal for me at €66. However, we each ordered an appetizer and a main course. We each received a drink and a bottle of water.

15/07/2026: Kebab House Review ★★★★★ "I finally tried Kebab House, and wow... this place did not disappoint. The meat was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. The chips were crispy, the salad was fresh, and the garlic and chilli sauces were amazing. The portions are massive, so you definitely get your money's worth. The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and everything came out hot and fresh. If you're looking for one of the best kebabs around, Kebab House is definitely worth checking out. Overall rating: 10/10. M'Il definitely be coming back!"

15/07/2026: Kebab House is the best place for delicious kebabs, with fresh food, great flavour, and friendly service every time. The staff are always welcoming, and it’s the perfect spot to catch all the live sports games while enjoying a great meal.

05/04/2026: Don't know what the rave is about , the food is fresh but lacking the effort . The chips are pre bought frozen in the packet , it's middle of the road food to be fair . Oh and please avoid the smithwicks couldn't believe how bad the pint was I had to send it back .

07/05/2026: Pretty hotel in the heart of Dingle. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, but the desk clerk said she’d have someone bring our bags up. When she couldn’t find someone promptly, she carried them up herself. Great service! Our room had a beautiful 4 poster bed and fireplace. We ate in their award winning dining room and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and engaging. My husband had the best lamb he’s ever eaten, and my fish and chips was the best of the trip. Wonderful stay.

15/06/2026: I don’t know how hotels get their star ratings in this country. But this is not a four star hotel to me. I’ve just spent two nights here as part of the AIMS Weekend 2026. To say we were treated as second class guests is an understatement. The attitude from the staff from the outset was good, but went dramatically downhill when we were being “frisked”is the only way to put it for alcohol being brought into our paid bedrooms. Can I just also add that we pay €450 each for a shared room for two nights bed and breakfast including our events tickets which are €120 so we don’t get any discount as some of us even have to share with two others so that the hotel making €990 on a room for two night. Not cheap. I have never come across this behaviour by any other hotel. Security with just simply rotten, argumentative attitudes were accosting Anyone seen bringing drink upstairs or downstairs and people who had bought a drink in the bar and simply returning to their bedrooms were being harassed by these individuals. I myself spoke to one of the guys who was patrolling the enterance at reception up to the bedrooms about his attitude and all I got was an argument of him. Terrible individual to people who are just trying to enjoy their weekend. This is a super weekend which brings in over 1400 people for the banquet on the Friday night so no small amount of money as you can imagine to the hotel. I will never forget the girl on the Saturday night being made prove that her drink which was water and cordial had no alcohol in it by offering it to the staff member to drink? shocking carry on. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom sadly is very dated. The water pressure in the sink was dangerously strong and I really don’t understand in this day and age why people still have shower curtains in their bathrooms. Everything about this hotel has remained the same for the over 10 years that I have been travelling to the AIMS Weekend 2026. Bar one or two other years where I have stayed in other better hotels. I will not stay in this hotel again and Will instead choose to just get tickets for the events and stay elsewhere. The staff in the bars and on reception, we’re all very helpful and lovely. But unfortunately, the others spoiled the experience for everybody. I am sure there will be other complaints made directly to the hotel and to the aims organising council. Personally, I think the weekend at this stage needs to go elsewhere.

09/06/2026: I stay in the apartments for Bikefest every year - the best way to do it! Great comfort and space on the same site of all going on. Staff are so super friendly and helpful also. Fantastic!

06/04/2026: Had a fantastic stay - the place is all about relaxation. Room had a wonderful view over the lake. Food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough.

29/03/2026: We had the most incredible two-night stay at Carrig Country House and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the setting completely won us over — right on the lake with breathtaking views that make it so easy to unwind and switch off. The house itself is full of charm and character, with a warm, cosy atmosphere that feels truly special. Being invited for coffee and homemade cake with biscuits after checking in is a great touch. We were lucky enough to stay in the Presidential Suite, which made the experience even more memorable. The space, comfort, and stunning views were exceptional — it felt like a real treat and the perfect place to relax. What really sets Carrig apart, though, is the hospitality. The team are genuinely welcoming, attentive, and thoughtful, creating a stay that feels personal and effortless. The dining experience was a real highlight. Being welcomed into a cosy sitting room to relax and discuss the menu before being called through to dinner is such a charming, old-world touch — it made each evening feel special. The food itself was outstanding from start to finish, with top-quality ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with incredible food, beautiful surroundings, and truly warm hospitality, this place is a gem. Thank you to Claire, Kevin and the team for everything. We’ll definitely be back.
