21/10/2025: Great welcome with drinks in the reception room, the food was amazing, and the service was friendly, and first class. Amazing location. Would definitely recommend

29/06/2025: Beautiful house, magnificent location, wonderful people. Such a beautiful place to stay, food in the restaurant was out of this world! Can’t fault the food, homemade and tastes delicious!

28/08/2025: Food freshly cooked usually. However its annoying they don't take payments in the drive tru separately especially when ordering for 10+ people [care home] as it makes the ordeal of sorting change afterwards very difficult. Thus policy needs to be looked into !!!! Its just as easy as taking orders from a number of cars in the queue. The service is good otherwise when everything is correct.

13/07/2025: Esta fue nuestra primera experiencia cenando en The Horseshoe después de muchos años de simplemente "tomar bebidas" en este popular pub de Kenmare. En busca de mejillones con salsa picante los encontramos en Horseshoe. Una salsa de chile y chorizo que estaba perfecta. Los mejillones estaban cocinados en su punto justo, de modo que todos menos uno se abrieron, pero permanecieron regordetes y sabrosos en la salsa picante que estaba distribuida uniformemente sobre ellos. He probado porciones más grandes de mejillones en otros pubs, pero rara vez una salsa picante con mucho cuerpo que te pidiera que comieras la salsa que quedaba como sopa después de haber comido todos los mariscos. Nuestro mayor cumplido siempre es: "Volveremos".

10/06/2025: Gran lugar. Parece un restaurante una vez que estás en la puerta, no dejes que esto te desanime. Muy agradable. Gran stout. Muy agradable, personal amable. Comí unas pintas antes y luego volví para la cena, que estaba delicioso.

26/09/2025: While driving through Miltown, we stumbled upon this little gem. The staff members were friendly and welcoming. We tried the seafood chowder and the mushroom soup and both were delicious. Definitely worth a stop.

01/09/2025: Absolutely no recommendation - kitchen closes at 7 p.m. (even though the Google entry says 9 p.m.), and non-locals are absolutely not welcome. - The house and pub look very run down. Best thing to do: do the owner a favor and avoid the place.

16/09/2025: I recently visited this takeaway with my family, and we were so impressed! The food was absolutely delicious – the handmade chips were fresh and crispy, the kebabs were full of flavour, and the burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly. Everything tasted homemade and high quality. The staff were friendly, Especially the Guy “BUTT” is so funny 😆 and made sure we were well looked after. The place was clean, and the service was quick, which made the experience even better. It’s great to have such a gem here in Ireland – we will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys fresh and tasty fast food!

11/10/2025: Need to be accurate off the tee here. Couple of blind drives. Buggy is nearly a must otherwise you'll be adding some hillwalking to your round. Clubhouse is nice and pro shop was excellent.

13/07/2025: Had a nice lunch here, light goat cheese salad and pil pil prawns. Beautiful view over the golf course to the bay. Good service. Only 15 minutes to Kenmare.

30/10/2025: Phenomenal ice cream. It’s been 2 months since we’ve visited this little shop in Kenmare. Margaret made us feel like we were at home…but with way better ice cream. All it took was talking with her and she insisted our treats were on the house! It was by far some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had the chance to taste. Highly recommend dropping in to see Margaret here. Love from America

01/09/2025: I wanted to give 3 stars, but my husband very much enjoyed his three flavors of ice cream. Server wasn't very interactive at all, didn't seem like customer service was her job. I had espresso (very good) and salted caramel (very soft, almost soupy). I chose the unique 2 sided cone, which was cute in presentation, but was stale and had a bad taste--definitely not the way to finish off dessert.

08/12/2025: Popped in for a couple of pints. Didn't eat but others in the group did. Food was excellent and the pints were creamy. It was afternoon so it was a bit quite. Staff were very friendly. Would recommend highly.

26/11/2025: Stopped here for lunch on a bus tour. It was a cold and windy day so we got a hearty potato and leek soup. It was delicious and had a pretty view of Skelligs right outside and at the window

13/05/2025: The food was delicious and good, but it was almost impossible to sit down. The chairs and tables were welded together in a 70s-style manner. Far too cramped.

18/11/2025: When I was there the owners barred me for absolutely no solid reason! The owner Fiona gave me the shocking news that I was barred! Some bar staff told the owner a lie that I was rude and I wasn't and the hotel never to this day apologize d for it! Then, a few years later I was thumbing a lift to Listowel when she once again rude towards me telling me she would stop this car and I'll get out! I ve no idea why I got in car in first place! This woman is downright rude and pins blame on everyone else, she never apologize s for being wrong! Before that happened it was a really nice hotel, delicious food but I'd advise you before you go into this hotel, rethink!

11/10/2025: Marvellous small hotel overlooking the ladies beach. Great restaurant, lovely owners and staff.

16/10/2025: We were touring the Ring of Kerry and stopped here for lunch. A small but clean restaurant with high-quality produce. The best oysters I've ever had. Oddly, they didn't have Guinness on tap. Perfect Irish coffee! Definitely a place to return to.

22/09/2025: We just got home after a wonderful week. It always feels like coming home. Thanks to your family. A week of fishing with skipper Jacky oShea was fantastic. And the food at the Stone House was delicious.
