14/06/2026: A long evening with live music, would love to do it again.

02/06/2026: We had a really positive experience at the Kerry Coast Hotel, and would definitely go back there for a stay. We only stayed one night, and got quite lucky as we had booked the stay for May holiday weekend, and as it turned out, there was a Folk Festival going on that weekend and there were live bands all over town but also at the pub of the hotel, which was lovely and loads of fun. We were completely shocked at how quiet it was in the rooms. The pub (and live music) was right next to the hotel with the rooms but we could barely hear anything when we went to the room, which was really lovely because we were quite tired after a long day of adventures in Kerry and the folk festival right after dinner. Dinner was nice and there were quite a few options. We ate in the pub and they even had a vegan option for me, which was wonderful and very handy, because we didn’t have to search the whole town to find something for me to enjoy as well. Same goes for breakfast. I had asked the day we arrived if there is a possibility for me to get a vegan breakfast in the morning and they accommodated me with no problem. We'd like to give a huge shoutout to Geraldine, who welcomed us and who made sure I was looked after when it came to having vegan food. She was absolutely brilliant and so sweet. She even remembered a brief conversation we had on a very busy night for her because of the festival, where I had told her that this trip was a surprise trip for my birthday, which was coming up on the Monday after the weekend. She surprised me after breakfast with a slice of cake and a candle in it, which was so unexpected because I had completely forgotten about our conversation about that. It made me so happy and was such a sweet gesture. She was a wonderful host and made us feel super welcome and looked after. The rooms were clean and the bed, covers, and pillows were super comfortable. We are looking forward to coming back, and have even recommended the place to family and friends.

05/07/2025: Excellent vibe, pizza, beer, and service.

12/06/2025: Nice atmosphere and a small selection of house beers. Unfortunately, not all of them were tasty, as we're used to better ones in Germany. Still, it's worth a visit and trying a few. It's best to order 3 or 6 flights to try the different beers. You'll then receive 3 or 6 1/3 pints of your choice, respectively, for either €8 or €16.

06/04/2026: Had a fantastic stay - the place is all about relaxation. Room had a wonderful view over the lake. Food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough.

29/03/2026: We had the most incredible two-night stay at Carrig Country House and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the setting completely won us over — right on the lake with breathtaking views that make it so easy to unwind and switch off. The house itself is full of charm and character, with a warm, cosy atmosphere that feels truly special. Being invited for coffee and homemade cake with biscuits after checking in is a great touch. We were lucky enough to stay in the Presidential Suite, which made the experience even more memorable. The space, comfort, and stunning views were exceptional — it felt like a real treat and the perfect place to relax. What really sets Carrig apart, though, is the hospitality. The team are genuinely welcoming, attentive, and thoughtful, creating a stay that feels personal and effortless. The dining experience was a real highlight. Being welcomed into a cosy sitting room to relax and discuss the menu before being called through to dinner is such a charming, old-world touch — it made each evening feel special. The food itself was outstanding from start to finish, with top-quality ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with incredible food, beautiful surroundings, and truly warm hospitality, this place is a gem. Thank you to Claire, Kevin and the team for everything. We’ll definitely be back.

14/10/2026: A very disappointing experience happened today at Burger King, especially when it comes to children. We paid for a King Meal kids’ set, which includes a toy. After receiving our order, we opened the box and saw that there was no toy inside. We went to ask about it, and we were simply told that they had no toys available and they didn’t know when they would receive more. That was the end of the conversation. It doesn’t feel right to pay the full price for a kids’ meal that is missing the main thing children are excited about. Unfortunately, the only result was a disappointed child. For now, I wouldn’t recommend visiting Burger King with children if you are expecting the full kids’ meal experience. Also, I would recommend checking your order before leaving, to make sure everything you paid for is included.

05/09/2026: This café has been the source of some of my best memories in Tralee. The staff are always friendly and the food warms you from the inside. I had belgian waffles and my sister had a BLT and they were the best of both either of us had in a long time. The vanilla milkshake tasted like it was lovingly handmade. I would die for whoever made this milkshake.

18/08/2026: Nice little café. Porridge was great and the americano was really good too. Certainly reasonable prices. Nothing to complain about really except I asked the owner/manager to open one hour earlier the following day because I had a bus to catch. He declined.

23/09/2026: Had the lunch special of home mage vegetable soup with toasted ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce and red onion. It was superb. Well worth a look.

19/09/2026: The Coffee Start Café in Tralee is a great place to sit down for a quick bite to eat, enjoy a coffee or get takeaway bits. The staff are very friendly and there are plenty of seats available. Lovely variety on their menu too.

05/10/2026: Very nice food, the service is good, the atmosphere is enjoyable and the place is clean.

03/10/2026: Mixed review of the Harrow Killarney as it is very good but with not much change could be even better. The food us really good my Ceaser Salad was a delicious variant of the standard and my wife's Scallops were really good. My main course did not deliver quite so well. Im being picky but when ordering a steak medium rare it should not arrive blue (fortunately I don't mind this and don't like sending food back to the kitchen) also steak knives should cut not tear the meat. When I mentioned the blunt knife at the end of the meal I was told sharper knives are available. If that is the case why not use them. Over all the meal was very good, just could have been better.

27/09/2026: Food was very expensive considering the meat was of very poor quality and not cooked as ordered. We were charged for drinks we didn't have (this was refunded) Service was very slow, we had to ask multiple times for simple things like drinks. Very poor experience, I will not return.

11/08/2026: Wonderful venue for our wedding celebration We held day two of our wedding at Kenmare Golf Club and couldn't have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything was handled brilliantly. The bar staff were absolutely excellent - attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly throughout the evening . The room itself is lovely, and the setting overlooks some beautiful grounds. It provided exactly the right backdrop for celebrating with our guests. The barbecue was fantastic, great food, well-organised, and it brought everyone together in a really relaxed, enjoyable way. What struck us most was how seamlessly the whole evening came together. Nothing was a hassle, and the team clearly knows how to host an event properly. If you're looking for a venue in Kerry for a wedding celebration or special occasion, I'd highly recommend Kenmare Golf Club without hesitation. A really memorable evening .

28/08/2026: What a delightful experience, ambience, the staff being helpful to the quality of the food was superb. Good value for the money and very authentic catering for both the Irish palate and also the Indian.

15/08/2026: Purchased a vegetarian paneer main meal last night. Within a short time period I suffered all the classic sudden food poisoning symptoms. It’s now almost 1.30 pm the next day and I’m still in recovery after a very long night. Never again.

05/08/2026: We attempted to order delivery from this takeaway, only to get hung up on 3 times and not answered at all by the incredibly rude workers who would not even attempt to communicate with us in a civil manner at all. We are appalled at this behaviour as we successfully recieved deliveries from this takeaway before and have never been treated this way. We are very upset and taken aback as our past experiences have been very positive, however this was not. It is safe to say that we will be very reluctant to order from this takeaway again and are very disappointed as this is the only takeaway local to us that does delivery but we found this behaviour very rude as all we wanted was 3 portions of curry chips.

10/08/2026: Lovely and well appointed overnight rooms. Pizza was top notch. Shout out to Alberto for being such a wonderful host at checkin and restaurant!

28/07/2026: I won’t be back. There was no proper parking, and the room décor was an overdone bling style . Our window looked out onto waste ground, and despite the bathroom being good, the room still wasn’t cleaned even by 3pm. The staff were not helpful, which only made things worse. Breakfast was dreadful. I had to ask for toast, because I wasn’t eating the sliced French stick they were serving. When I questioned it, they argued that the croissants hadn’t arrived yet, but somehow the French stick had — and I was told it was a “wellness breakfast,” which didn’t justify the poor quality. A disappointing stay from start to finish.

16/09/2026: Great coffee! Service is very quick and efficient. You get to the other side of the container and your coffee is ready. You are even asked if you want the light roast or the dark roast. Great matcha as well, sealed right there in a fancy can. The tables outside are protected from the rain.

06/05/2026: With a bit of time to burn before the tour, we slipped into Ri-Ra Irish Cafe & Bar for a quick reset. Nothing complicated, just a solid coffee and a sausage roll that delivered exactly what it should; flaky, warm, and gone quicker than expected. It was one of those easy stops that sets the tone for the day, good food, relaxed pace, and a place that makes you want to sit just a little longer than planned.

22/09/2025: Amazing food and really reasonable prices. While the savory food is (for my taste) a bit greasy, the sweet dessert are just amazing!

16/09/2026: This is a great piece of land and a course design that fails to take adequate advantage of the property’s virtues. Especially at the start, there are some great water and countryside views. But there are too few holes with attractive visuals from the tee and too many blind shots. There are several forced carries that aren’t required by the terrain. The clubhouse is very attractive and the staff is friendly. But they don’t do some little but important things: e.g., we were not provided practice balls or a hole by hole guide. You really need the latter.

17/08/2026: Lovely experience over there, the Golf club is surrounded by water and hills , the lush green atmosphere was really amazing.
