The best restaurants in Kerry

30/10/2025: Phenomenal ice cream. It’s been 2 months since we’ve visited this little shop in Kenmare. Margaret made us feel like we were at home…but with way better ice cream. All it took was talking with her and she insisted our treats were on the house! It was by far some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had the chance to taste. Highly recommend dropping in to see Margaret here. Love from America

01/09/2025: I wanted to give 3 stars, but my husband very much enjoyed his three flavors of ice cream. Server wasn't very interactive at all, didn't seem like customer service was her job. I had espresso (very good) and salted caramel (very soft, almost soupy). I chose the unique 2 sided cone, which was cute in presentation, but was stale and had a bad taste--definitely not the way to finish off dessert.

21/10/2025: Great welcome with drinks in the reception room, the food was amazing, and the service was friendly, and first class. Amazing location. Would definitely recommend

29/06/2025: Beautiful house, magnificent location, wonderful people. Such a beautiful place to stay, food in the restaurant was out of this world! Can’t fault the food, homemade and tastes delicious!

14/09/2025: Very nice place, easy check-inn. Clean and tidy room . Restaurants nearby for diner. The bar West End bar is very nice to have a drink in the evening. The Irish breakfast is very tasty.

12/08/2025: Busy place with seating but food and service is slow. Although cheap you can find better quality elsewhere. Taco chip for e.g used totally plain mince and was almost putrid :(. Want something specific on your pizza? They had 4 tries and got all of them wrong. A shop with a brilliant location but poor organisation.

18/02/2026: My parents who are in their late 70s & early 80s drive 29km to get there 3 to 4 days a week and absolutely love the place, staff are great and massive portions. Thats says enough really 😊

24/02/2026: This place gave me food poisoning. I had a big group event here a couple of days ago, there were around 250 of us there. Over half of us got knocked out with food poisoning after eating the chicken. DO NOT GO HERE FOR EVENTS!!!

16/01/2026: Lovely hotel with breathtaking views. Food was pretty basic in both the bar and the breakfast rooms. Nice food but not a massive choice.

08/02/2026: Went for a bite to eat with my wife and 9 month old son and everything was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and the food was top notch. Can't wait to go back again!

30/12/2025: We booked for 19.00 arrived at 18.55, on arrival the floor staff were at the till arguing over someone bill...but unaware of about appox 10 person waiting to be seated..Also staff standing around with dirty tables to be cleaned...we were eventually guided to a table ...while the backlog of tables been cleaned & persons seated ...no organisation of staff or persons entering as we walked around & found meanus ...4 sets of families behind us entering had there order taken so I decided to wave as if I was in school...now I was wearing a sparkling top so u could not miss me !! ...eventually we ordered drinks for the 2 hr seating as I knew we would not get served again...while the starters arrived in 30 mins it was 1 hr after we arrived to the resturant..so while the main course arrived at 20.30 ...we would need a lock in to have desert...I would not recommend it as the lady with the white bow in her hair at the door was shouting at a male collague...( i thought that day was gone ) very uncomfortable watching with a 13yr old & hubby... food was good but will not be going back..catherine

26/10/2025: A busy bar with a great pint, always a nice buzz about the place. A great pit stop for a couple of drinks before dinner.

26/10/2025: Great PUB! Classic interior, nice extended area out the back, barman is excellent. Proper pub.

13/10/2025: Still dreaming of our delicious Chocolate Guinness cake from our wedding… Gary was a pleasure to work with and even designed the cake to match the flowers on my dress. The cake was moist and the buttercream was not too sweet, just perfect. Setup was seamless and the cake was ready in our ballroom by the time we arrived for dinner. Highly recommend!

02/10/2025: O’Carroll’s Bakery came through for us on short notice with the most delicious vegan cupcakes. My daughter was thrilled to have a safe, egg-free treat for her granddad’s birthday. Wonderful service and amazing cupcakes—we’ll definitely be back!

19/09/2025: We got a spice box which is not an Irish spice box. Not enough peppers or onions or spice. The burger was good enough, but not worth 9.50, if it included chips it might have been more of an appropriate price. The service was very good.
