06/05/2026: With a bit of time to burn before the tour, we slipped into Ri-Ra Irish Cafe & Bar for a quick reset. Nothing complicated, just a solid coffee and a sausage roll that delivered exactly what it should; flaky, warm, and gone quicker than expected. It was one of those easy stops that sets the tone for the day, good food, relaxed pace, and a place that makes you want to sit just a little longer than planned.

06/09/2026: I ate in different McDonald's across Ireland, Tralee, Cork, Dublin... But Killarney food is the best.

31/08/2026: First visit. A goldmine. Not just because theres no other shop - the station has 2 vending machines which seem to have taken inflation for the next 15 years into account and no cafe nor does the nearby bus station, but because even though its minute it manages to stock a relatively wide range of items. The jewel is Ponaire coffee.

19/06/2026: No complaints at all. The older lady behind the counter is very sweet and kind. Their coffee tastes great, and they also offer plant-based milk alternatives for an additional charge.

09/09/2026: Rip offs, €70 to plug in the diagnostic machine is crazy. Took 5 mins max, told me go for a coffee so I wouldn’t see how long it actually took them.

28/08/2026: Flat tire after hitting a curb. Immediate service and tire change in 15 minutes!! For a price much lower than in France. Highly recommended.

30/07/2026: We had a fantastic experience at Johnny Frank’s Bar! We stopped in on a weekday at around 6:30 p.m., and everything was excellent from start to finish. Our meals included the homemade soup of the day with freshly baked bread, the Meadowlands Seafood Chowder, the Pióg Pies’ Lamb Pie, the kids’ pan-fried chicken fillet with mash and vegetables, and Johnny’s Special. The food arrived quickly, was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. We also appreciated how clean everything was, including the bathrooms. We were staying at the hotel next door, so it was very convenient to walk over for dinner. We highly recommend Johnny Frank’s Bar to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a pleasant dining experience.

11/08/2026: Nice halal restaurant in Tralee; they literally serve every muslim food; we had the karahi chicken was was decent; spicy level was good and it was rich in flavor but had a bit less of the chicken and more of the salan 😌😔 Naan was tasty and made fresh

10/08/2026: Went in for dinner hubby ordered starter it arrived when he was 1/2 way through his main. We tried to cancel it but were told it was ready and it wasn’t. We had to ask for our drinks. I had a donair wrap it was awful I couldn’t eat and chips were terrible def reheated. Only good thing was hubbys main. Nobody came to check to see if our meal was ok.

17/08/2026: Food was disgraceful and for 80 euro I expected quality what I got was Slop I’m very disappointed as I use to always eat out of here and only came back after not eating in here in months and It has disappointed me very much I don’t think I will ever Be returning the food was a greasy mess the curry was watery The fish was given to my cat I’m very very upset with this I will not be eating not of here again

02/08/2026: I did not enjoy it at all! Overpriced food, grumpy and slow waiters, nothing spectacular about it, expensive Guinness. All other pubs around it are better. It ruined our evening’s mood! You just don’t feel welcome and don’t feel you’ve spent your okey wisely. I definitely don’t recommend.

20/07/2026: There were two of us here around 3:30 pm. We sat outside in the alley. The atmosphere was nice. There was no table service; it was self-service. I ordered two drinks and two small snacks at the bar. I then received cutlery, sauces, and the drinks, and the food was brought to me. The Coke was 200ml and not chilled, while the cider listed on the bill as 500ml was actually a 0.33ml bottle. When I asked about it, they said it was the non-alcoholic version they had and that was correct. The smoked sandwich and the fried brie arrived very quickly and were delicious.

02/08/2026: Called in last night for a late take away, food was cooked to order, & came out piping hot, nicest staff at the counter, very helpful, the fortune cookies were a nice touch too!

08/06/2026: Beware of chef special Sarawak laksa it’s missing a soul and it tastes like it. Sorry I try not to say anything less than good but sometimes it’s so annoying I have to. It’s usually a soup but here it’s dry It’s a famous dish and should be epic, but it’s a learning experience and hopefully it’s gonna get better

27/08/2026: The chicken wrap was amazing, I highly recommend it to everyone. But don’t order the fries with it, they were not good. The service was excellent.

03/08/2026: Amazing afternoon meal in Foleys yesterday. The staff were excellent and the owner was so welcoming. Menu is very extensive and offers a delicious range of food. The cocktails were incredible. My friend’s father stayed there and said the bedrooms were stunning. Highly recommend Foleys for anyone staying in Kenmare or anyone who wants to dine or have a drink there. I visit it every time I am down and I will definitely be back in the future.

16/12/2025: We took a short break to the Killarney Towers for a Christmas shopping break. The hotel was perfect for our needs being in such a central location. Considering this is right in the centre of one of the most popular tourist towns in the country and has a leisure center, it was incredible value for money. Breakfast was perfect, and all the staff were lovely. A special mention to Anna in the leisure center who made a extra effort to encourage our 3yr old daughter, who was afraid to get in the water to start swimming.

11/12/2025: The hotel killarney is lovely and clean rooms are excellent bed is love and comfortable the swimming pool could be a bit warmer for the winder time of year and perfect summer month service was great good breakfast is good staff are lovely to deal with
