04/09/2025: I can't comment on the quality of the food, unfortunately. We arrived at 9 pm, after a long drive, at the Beaufort Bar and Restaurant. We understand perfectly well that it was a bit too late to eat, but the frosty welcome and the rather unfriendly response from the man behind the bar wouldn't have given us a very positive impression of the Irish... luckily we met some extremely friendly people elsewhere! We're staying in the area for a few days... we won't be setting foot in that establishment again. A real shame.

03/10/2025: We recently had dinner at the Stables Brasserie and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the manager was welcoming, the service was attentive and professional, and the quality of the food and wine was absolutely outstanding. The atmosphere, the presentation, and the care that went into every detail really made the evening feel special.

29/09/2025: Brought 2 Spanish friends to this restaurant for Sunday lunch but left extremely dissapointed. Atmosphere was sad, food was below average and certainly not near the level for the prices charged. The hotel is spectacular but this restaurant is not good enough.

20/03/2026: Fabulous food. Service was brilliant. It was quiet the night we ate here due to few days b4 Paddy's day but the amount of takeaways was unreal. Staff couldn't b more helpful. We will Definitely return to sample more dishes.

08/02/2026: PLEASE AVOID IF VEGETERIAN!! Never thought will need to write this review. Been a few time in less than one month and everything was good. Today was very disappointing and pathetic specially coming from the owner himself. Ordered Vegetable Madras Curry which is already spicy(mentioned in the menu) and still requested for the same while ordering as well just to make sure. Unfortunately the curry only tasted of turmeric. When asked, the owner said all vegetable curries come with same base only spice level changes. Well if that's the case why is there different prices and different curries, could have just mentioned one curry and different spice levels. (Eg. Side Portion of Mix Vegetable curry costing approx €8 will be exactly same as Madras Vegetable curry costing approx €15.. and same with every other vegetable curry in the menu) After making this point the owner lost it and started arguing, spoilt the entire dinner and evening for me including other diners around. Maybe a victim of racism as it felt like that. Unfortunately had to leave hungry. 1 star because atleast they didnt force me to pay.

22/10/2025: I ordered jasmine tea, Chinese dumplings, steamed, the wonton soup, and the duck with Szechuan sauce and a side of noodles. The service was great! I think they do a lot of take-away orders, so they were busy but I arrived around 5pm and the dining room was empty. I was sat near a window and the server brought over a gas space heater since I was rain-drenched! Shortly after ordering I was brought the tea, a small pitcher of water with lemon, and a basket of large shrimp crackers, possibly house-made! The dumpling skin was thin and the ingredients tasted fresh the wonton soup was in a approximately 12 oz cup and was full of thinly sliced carrot, cabbage, and wontons. The duck was crispy and the sauce was mildly spicy (for me) and in generous portion. The noodles were thin and well-seasoned with veggies, and the whole side dish had wok hei! I stayed for a while to digest and wait out some of the rain and the staff was patient and did not bother me. By the time I left there were about 4 or 5 more tables sat. The whole place was very clean, including the table ware. I was told about this place by my Chinese Air BnB host, and it did not disappoint! Total bill was around €39.

03/12/2025: First time ordering from Sunshine Palace and I will definitely be ordering again. The staff are a delight to deal with. I have been eating Chinese food since 1979. I ordered two different dishes and a side. Everything was perfect. Quality and quantity. Absolutely delicious!10/10

22/08/2025: We stayed here for one night and got dinner for the 5 of us. Why so much artificial stuff? We eat with our hands and even soap would not take the color off our hands. We expected the honey sauce to be sweet but the peking sauce was sweet too. At the end of the meal we felt like our tongue was coated in sugar and we ate a bunch of artificial colors.

17/08/2025: I've been there and ordered delivery several times because I love the food. I love the fried rice, chow mein and chicken curry. It's true that it seems a bit expensive to me, as in Spain (where I'm from) the dishes are half the price, but I understand that everything is a bit more expensive here, so I guess it's ok

25/07/2025: Food was good, but the portions rather small. The desert was a joke, we ordered the crumble and it was completely soggy and a tiny piece - absolutely not worth it. Service was good.

24/07/2025: Husband and I chose this pub while visiting Killarney. We love authentic Irish food so this place really hit the spot. When we walked in, we were told that they didn’t have any tables left and they were completely full. There were a couple seats at the bar thankfully so we asked if we could sit there and eat, she said yes. The two young guys behind the bar gave us some drinks quickly, waitress took our food order a few minutes later. We decided to share the mini potato cakes (€8.95), which were pretty much mashed potatoes mixed with chicken and bacon, and then covered in bread crumbs and fried. It was covered in a mushroom creme sauce which was really good, with a small salad on the side (if you can call it that, it was really a couple pieces of lettuce, a single grape tomato and a drizzle of dressing) My husband got the fish and chips (€17.70) which honestly was probably the best fish and chips he’s had so far during our trip. I was a little jealous of his food after I tried some of his. The fish was almost melt-in-your-mouth quality. Soooo good. I would go back just to eat that fish again. I got the spinach and ricotta ravioli (€20.95) which came with a tomato and basil crème sauce, some garlic bread, and a handful of arugula on top. The pasta itself tasted good (jealous of the fish!) but the garlic bread was so crispy (not burnt) that it was almost too hard to chew. The dish would have been fine without the ‘salad garnish’. The only thing I would point out is that obviously the pub is very busy, and it didn’t look like they had an ample amount of seating, but they must have turned away at least 20-30 people because the back of the pub was closed (due to a large party maybe?) and they just couldn’t find a place for those people to sit. So I guess we got there at just the right time? Whatever - I would still go back JUST for the fish and chips ❤️

30/12/2025: Beautifully situated right next to the Connor Pass and 20 minutes away from Dingle but not a lot of tourists come here. We were so warmly welcomed here and had the pleasure of taking part in a music night like none other - it was like sitting in a living room among friends. Thank you so much for this night, it made our trip very special!

30/12/2025: Just tried the Chicken BBQ Pizza and wow – it exceeded all my expectations! The pizza was incredibly delicious, juicy, and full of flavor. The crust was soft, perfectly cooked, and not too thick. Honestly, this is hands down better than any pizza from the usual franchises. Highly recommend!

04/12/2025: Today we had a very upsetting experience at the café. My friend walked in while holding a drink from another coffee shop, and we honestly didn’t know it was against their policy. The moment the manager told us, we apologized and tried to explain that it was just a misunderstanding. My friend was ready to leave, and we were about to order from the café. However, the manager refused to listen and kept yelling at us, insisting that we leave the café. While we were trying to calmly discuss the situation, she didn’t want to understand or even hear our side. It felt like there was a form of discrimination towards me and my friends, which made the situation even worse. We asked to speak to the manager, and unfortunately, she turned out to be the same person who was shouting at us. She continued raising her voice in front of everyone, making the whole situation very embarrassing and uncomfortable. People in the café were staring, and it became a very humiliating moment for us. We would have appreciated a more professional and respectful approach, especially after we apologized and tried to correct the mistake immediately.

04/12/2025: My experience at this café was really disappointing. I went through a very upsetting, unprofessional and unfair way, and the manager’s behavior was completely unacceptable! Instead of listening or trying to understand what happened, she raised her voice and treated us in a way that was both embarrassing and disrespectful in front of everyone. I’ve visited this place many times before, and some of the staff even recognize me, so I truly didn’t expect this kind of treatment. Seeing how the situation was handled today was honestly ruined the visit I won’t be coming back, and I don’t recommend visiting this place at all!
