05/08/2026: Bar man Seamus very chatty as we discussed demise of Kerry GAA and indeed Hurling in General , Limerick v the rest of Ireland Enjoyabke couple of smooth creamy pints of Guinness , hope to be back , sound man.

28/11/2025: We were on holiday and staying in Milltown for 3 nights and decided we wanted to go grab some food and drinks at a local pub. We stopped at Larkin's Pub and immediately we knew we were in the right place the owner Mike helped us immediately and was full of great information of places to see around the area. We also came back a couple nights later on Wednesdays they have traditional Irish music being played right in the bar. Was great to listen to had great drinks and the locals were fun to talk with. If you're in the area stop by and see Mike and the rest of his crew. Tell him the farmer from Oregon sent you.

25/10/2025: Lovely Pub. I was on the way from Tralee we stop for a quick bite, good pub grub! Toasted sandwich with chips & salad, fire was blazing needed on a cold October evening. The Guinness looked good. Friendly staff and customers.

24/09/2026: We had hoped to enjoy the food at this restaurant. Unfortunately, we were turned away upon arrival… The reason given: I wasn't wearing a "shirt" but a simple "Lacoste polo shirt"… Yes, this establishment attaches an old-fashioned importance to appearances, and Lacoste clothing isn't classy enough for them, regardless of your credit card! Too bad for us, but also for them… Although I've dined at many Michelin-starred restaurants (Paul Bocuse, Georges Blanc…), this is the first time in my life, at over 60 years old, that I've experienced this kind of mishap. At Le Grand Véfour (Guy Martin in Paris), they lend you a jacket if needed, but they are REAL Michelin-starred chefs! At Yew Tree, you have to take a good look at yourself!

14/05/2026: During our Hotel stay we had a special evening, so we chose the Yew Tree Restaurant despite the priciness, and we were definitely not disappointed. Location is a rather old-fashioned small hall but not too overwhelming design and more moderate color compo. We had the 4-course, which is our strong recommendation, since it comes with bread/butter and small, nice amuse-bouche and petit-four before/after the starter-main-dessert. There are vegetarian options. The waiter was as you can expect in such a fine location, very polite and attentive, but not intrusive, overall very pleasant. No issue or comment when we did not everything completely correct (e.g. struggle with which fork/knive to use). When serving each course there was a little "show" of pouring soups, broth and sauces. The meals were of course of less amount but we were not hungry afterwards. Very nicely arranged, i really liked that, please refer to the photos. Great souffle!

06/10/2026: I’m a visitor from Canada, we had a blowout on our Rental car. A local called Morans for us, the garage sent a service van, took the wheel with the flat tire away, and brought back the wheel with the correct tire size, installed it and we were on our way in less than an hour. Exceptional friendly service, we thought our day was ruined, but this garage service kept us on schedule for our vacation. If you’re caught in the same predicament as us, we definitely recommend them to get you on your way.

09/09/2026: Rip offs, €70 to plug in the diagnostic machine is crazy. Took 5 mins max, told me go for a coffee so I wouldn’t see how long it actually took them.

11/08/2026: The owner is one the most unpleasant people I’ve ever had the misfortune of coming across. Go to Murts instead.

01/09/2026: Great meal, lovely cocktails and pleasant staff. The bar area had live music and the Barman was fantastic. Food was really tasty, and perfect. We loved it.

06/08/2026: The waitresses were truly welcoming and friendly. The service was very pleasant. 😊 Unfortunately, some dishes were disappointing. The chicken in the salad was quite dry, and the steak was underdone, even though we asked for medium. We hope the kitchen can pay more attention to these details, as the overall experience could have been much better.

29/05/2026: A lovely little find on the last night of our trip to dingle. Guinness was excellent, staff were class and the trad band in the background while playing pool and eating pizza from across the road was superb. Cheers lads

23/09/2026: We pop in last Friday, there was eight of us visiting from England. The good was outstanding and the service was great from staff who really cared about their restaurant. We waited a little longer than expected between courses but this was a benefit to us, much better than having a rushed experience. We did not find out the name of our female server but she was a credit to this business who kept us updated during waits and join in with our banter and made the evening even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in Tralee, Kerry, Ireland 🇮🇪

06/06/2026: Nice one night stay , comfortable bed and clean bathroom , great location in town center , easy street park nearby. Nice busy bar & outside.

07/05/2026: Pretty hotel in the heart of Dingle. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, but the desk clerk said she’d have someone bring our bags up. When she couldn’t find someone promptly, she carried them up herself. Great service! Our room had a beautiful 4 poster bed and fireplace. We ate in their award winning dining room and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and engaging. My husband had the best lamb he’s ever eaten, and my fish and chips was the best of the trip. Wonderful stay.
