The best restaurants in Kerry

23/11/2025: What on earth is going on here? The service has completely fallen apart. Fifty minutes for one pizza is absolutely ridiculous. By the time they bothered to serve it, I could’ve ordered, received, and eaten four pizzas from 4-Star. This was a total waste of time and money. I absolutely do not recommend this place, and I’d strongly suggest staying far away until they learn how to run a kitchen.

13/12/2025: Very disappointing for gluten-free diners. The menu does not specify allergens and offers almost no gluten-free options. The staff struggled to advise, and there was no willingness to make even simple adjustments, such as serving sauces on the side. Not recommended if you need to avoid gluten. One star only because zero is not an option.

13/10/2025: Still dreaming of our delicious Chocolate Guinness cake from our wedding… Gary was a pleasure to work with and even designed the cake to match the flowers on my dress. The cake was moist and the buttercream was not too sweet, just perfect. Setup was seamless and the cake was ready in our ballroom by the time we arrived for dinner. Highly recommend!

02/10/2025: O’Carroll’s Bakery came through for us on short notice with the most delicious vegan cupcakes. My daughter was thrilled to have a safe, egg-free treat for her granddad’s birthday. Wonderful service and amazing cupcakes—we’ll definitely be back!

11/11/2025: You know you’re in the country when youngsters in their blinged out tractors, adoring partners riding high on fenders inside the cab roar up and down the Main Street. Others in Japanese ‘sports’ cars emptying their waste gates (turbos ?) at every opportunity, resembling something like an airplanes toilet. Gotta love it ! In need of a quick tasty bite I positioned myself on one of the outdoor tables to watch life pass by. Settling on the choice of a toasted bagel with bacon and cream cheese and a pot of tea, what was served didn’t meet my expectation. A bagel more baked than warmed, bacon dripping in oil with a thick unappetising grind, a jar of accompanying cream cheese leaving one to make their own, no butter leaving a somewhat, uneatable dry item. Tea served without milk or a tea spoon or sugar. Keep in mind folks it’s never bad service. It’s always bad training or lack of. I don’t enjoy roasting an eatery (pun intended) but come on lads. This is 101 stuff. It’s a lovely location, nice decor and I would return to give it a second chance but left on this occasion wishing I hadn’t paid and looking for a nearby petrol station for a chicken wrap.

05/11/2025: We had lunch there yesterday, it was fab. All the staff were lovely and the soup and sandwich were perfect.

31/08/2025: First time experience Order happy meal with toy end she got a book (they had no toys) if you don't have do not advertise, update your order system end take it of the menu , the place at the time was dirty tables not clean ,food was cold

16/08/2025: Spacious, quick service with drive through. Toilets and other special amenities. Lots of parking space.

08/05/2025: Very hardworking and polite workers in this takeaway. The burgers were quick, tasty and served with a smile quickly and in a dine in container. At 6.60 for 2 cheeseburgers you are a hard marker if you are able to complain.

25/11/2025: Stayed two nights in room number 8. No heating. The radiator in the bathroom was removed altogether. Very cold. Don't believe what the advertising says. There was.no tea or coffee making facilities. I'm only giving it one star because I can't give it zero. Avoid at all costs.

27/10/2025: Ciao ragazzi, We were in there like swimwear and enjoyed some italian blondes and irish darks. Live music was great but we left as soon as it started. Piacere!

28/11/2025: We were traveling through while we were driving the Ring of Kerry. Found this little Pub to stop in at and had some food and drink. The guy behind the bar was super helpful who turned out to be the owner Tommy. He was also the chef and whipped up some amazing lunch for us. One of the drinks we wanted needed cream so he went down to the store next door and bought some for us. One of the items on the lunch menu was the salmon on toast which was amazing and he went a couple businesses down to the local fish market and got a fresh filet of salmon. We also had some burgers and a wrap and they were all amazing and tasted great. The best part was the commentary and talking with Tommy as he had great ideas of places for us to go and see while we were there some of the best places we saw on our holiday trip we're because of Tommy. Great guy funny full of good ideas. Definitely a place to stop and see if you're in the area. FYI you'll be able to understand him a little better because he's originally from Boston. Tell him the O'Connell sisters and their husbands sent you from the states.

15/10/2025: Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere, and great people.

13/09/2025: Located in the heart of Kenmare, this was a fantastic place to stay. The room was clean and big, with a comfortable bed. Downstair is a bar / dining room that serves up some great meals and a nice breakfast. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. They often have local musicians to provide music in the evenings. There is some on-site and street parking, but if those are filled up there is a free public parking lot only a block away.

30/08/2025: New, spacious, and spotlessly clean room! Very friendly owners. Excellent classic Irish breakfast. Recommended!

08/07/2025: I traveled as a group and stayed at this hotel. I didn't like the location, which was far from the city center and only accessible by taxi. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds quite comfortable, but the bathroom lacked amenities like sink plugs and the carpet was raised. All the dispensers, including conditioner, were present, however! Breakfast was good, but dinner was meager, with portions almost nonexistent (a beef stew contained three tiny pieces of meat along with carrots and other chopped vegetables). To be improved!
