24/03/2024: Great pub atmosphere is amazing

13/03/2024: Our first night out at a pub and we sure are glad we stopped here. Great trio of older gents played numerous songs that brought a room of strangers together by the end of the night. Reasonable prices for drinks and cozy fireplace in the corner added to the perfect night.

10/08/2024: We didn't have dinner, we went for a couple of Guinnesses with live music. Very atmospheric, large room - enough space for everyone, different types of places to sit - at a table, a barrel, a plumb line around a beam or against a wall, tastefully decorative around it, warm red light, clean in the toilet too. A cigarette vending machine, which is rare to see these days. The musicians started around 10:30 p.m. Cool music, characterful artists who give their best to the public.

20/10/2024: Four family members booked a meal on Friday last en route from Cork and we were looking forward to a five-star experience as a treat. Sadly however, the food was more two star than five star. Two of us had steaks which were of poor quality and came with four or five wafer-thin slices of potato. We ordered a side of French fries and were charged a whopping €7 for these. The lamb burger at almost €28 came with the burnt ends of a bag of frozen chips and again the meat was of very poor quality, while the fourth person ordered fish and chips and asked for a salad instead of the veg. A bowl of mix mixed leaves was presented with no tomato or dressing and for this concoction they charged €6 when it was supposed to be instead of the veg !! The desert menu was poor also the least and just two members of the group choose desserts which were no more than a mouthful and cost €10. Add in an extremely loud family of Americans at the next table and a woman who proceeded to push a child in a pram around and around the dining room for at least fifteen minutes. Not what you’d expect from a supposed five-star establishment. Overall a most disappointing experience. We won’t be back !!!

29/09/2024: The food was top notch. Raw oysters were huge and delicious. Not sure that I have ever had any that were that thick and that wide. My venison dish was also very good with both venison and a miniature venison pie. Wines by the glass were very good with large pours. Our Latvian waiter was very good - friendly and professional. No complaints from me - a great experience.

30/08/2024: One of the best pizza restaurants in the city.. Fast and clean services and nice people to deal with.. It also serves halal meals

18/08/2024: Amazing value, pizza was perfect and tasted amazing very well put together too. Music created a good atmosphere and was enjoyable to sit in at. Staff was friendly and provided good service with the pizza not taking too long. Facilities were very clean and nice to look at.

02/10/2024: All day breakfast options including a massive pot of tea, just like the old days. Quaint old shopfront and friendly staff.

29/10/2024: Very busy when we arrived. No booking but they kindly accommodated us. Food was delicious and plenty of it for good price. Nice wine menu and whiskey to finish.

11/08/2024: Brian and team are running a truly charming B&B in the idyllic setting of Annascaul. Comfortable rooms, friendly service and a fabulous breakfast. We hope to be back

29/07/2024: Windows and curtains were moldy, I thought that was bad. You couldn't leave windows open at night because of traffic. Breakfast was okay, with nicely presented fruit plates on each table. Lunch package was very expensive (12.50) and contained two baked baguette rolls with very little toppings. Otherwise there was fruit, chips and chocolate bars. Overall a bit old, but the breakfast room, for example, is nicely decorated. Very close to the Southpole Inn.

30/08/2024: Had pizzas and then played golf. Pizza be try good. Golf pretty good but a couple of holes in need of maintenance.

12/08/2024: Disappointing to pass through this village and in need of a toilet, we asked the person politely could we use their bathroom and were told... NO. Whatever happened to the beautiful Ireland I grew up in ? Where is the "Cead mile Failte"?. The land of a thousand welcomes..... Not anymore unfortunately.

31/10/2024: We only tried the restaurant because we were passing through at lunch time. We tried the homemade lasagna and the homemade burger. Everything was very good including the apple crumble 🎉.

12/06/2024: My partner and I went in on Saturday 8/6 barman couldn't have been nicer. The nicest espresso martini I have ever had. Keep it up 😁

26/10/2024: Great breakfast there,with very prompt service by lovely staff,would recommend a visit.

15/09/2024: You have to wait to be seated which is no problem only it took ages to get a seat, and when we did get a seat it took ages to get our order taken. It wasn't that busy, but service was very slow. The food was only OK for the price. I wasn't impressed.

19/10/2024: Absolutely lovely place ! Food was a solid 10/10 From the pork carnitas to the shredded duck it was stunning. Will be back!

12/10/2024: Wow we wanted to eat some authentic food but had our labrador with us,and very few places accommodate dog owners. Our dog is a member of the family and we came to killarney for a scenic walk we asked could she dine with us and we were able to dine in the outside area.The food was amazing, service 100% ,atmosphere couldn't be better.Music, sun was setting and a happy dog. Thank you
