26/07/2025: Nice little cafe / cake shop. We had a nice breakfast served with plenty of tea and a very delicious homemade brown bread. The service was very promt and friendly and we will be back again. Their fruit gur/ chester cake is to die for.

01/11/2025: Fabulous food, Fabulous staff and service..the cookies are out of this world..and so is the bakewell tart and the cupcakes...basically everything is Fabulous. The Kelly lou bagel 🥯 is well worth having. Absolutely delicious..Great amount of filling. 1 improvement i would suggest add some salad to it then it would be next level

27/10/2025: Great coffee and cookies. A wide range of choice for anyone. Even open on a bank holiday Sunday. Staff were so nice.

14/04/2026: Got a southern fried chicken thigh, chips and 2 jumbo sausages. I drove up the town before eating and first thing I noticed when driving in the car was the smell of rancid oil. I was really starving, so I ate it anyway. My mistake. The chicken was so dry like it had been there for ages or something. No juice. The 2 jumbo sausages were very strange completely tasteless. I started to eat the chips, but couldn't continue because of the taste of Rancid oil. I had to throw them in the bin. All that night and the next day, the oil kept repeating on me in my throat and I had indigestion. I was so dissapointed. I was expecting much better. I've often got takeaways here before and enjoyed it, but this was just a terrible experience. I could not reccomend.

06/04/2026: I love this for the hotel I had the experience of the pool it is excellent clean warm don't feel disturbed very nice and helpful staff my kids were happy with this experience I highly recommend entertainment centers in this hotel

02/05/2026: We had our wedding at the Abbeyleix manor, I have to say they are excellent, they were well organised, they made all the planning much easier, food and atmosphere was brilliant, I highly recommend anyone who is planning to have a wedding there the feedback we got from friends and family said it all. Well deserved 5 stars

19/04/2026: Stayed overnight recently for an event in the ballroom. The staff were fantastic and extremely friendly and helpful. Initially when you drive into the hotel from the from it gives the impression of a "motel" but the staff and amenities quickly make you forget about that. The interior is decorated with old Irish paintings, furniture,wood burning stove and other furniture to match. The bar/restaurant has something available for almost any visitor. We asked for a double room and we were given a double room with an additional double bed. This was a nice suprise as we had a bed to lie on and watch t.v and one to sleep in. The room itself is fairly basic with a t.v with streaming services, bathroom with toilet bath/shower. There's teabags,coffee,milk and a kettle in the room but there is no fridge or water provided for tea. We didn't risk using the tap water from the sink. There's also an ironing board,iron and coat hangers (only 3 hangers in our room). There is no safe in the room. The only issue we had with the room was it's temperature. It was very warm and we had to open the window all day to cool the room down. Overall a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend.

05/12/2025: We got takeaway pizza and chips. Worst pizza we have had. We never went back.

18/10/2025: Staff were very friendly and accommodating, threw in some freebies for us as well, due to not having our desired toppings, which is always a great thing. Fast and friendly.

30/04/2026: Got a take away, and when opening at home we realised we were given the wrong burgers, but the order was probably rang up incorrectly. We weren’t given a receipt upon ordering so will insist to check next time. Burgers and chicken were fresh, no complaints there, but shocked at the pea size amount of sauce and lettuce on the burgers, you might as well not even have bothered. Definitely not worth the price of a burger meal.

28/04/2026: Even though tis restaurant was very busy at time it was absolutely brilliant staff were cleaning the whole time with very prompt service & food was delicious
