30/07/2025: We just moved to Ballylynan and ordered from Rockys for the first time. Absolutely blown away by the quality of their pizza. Genuine wood fired with incredible flavour. Turn around speed was impressive.

18/04/2025: Rocky’s garlic cheese chips would be what I’d ask for my last meal. 10/10 always.

26/07/2025: Nice little cafe / cake shop. We had a nice breakfast served with plenty of tea and a very delicious homemade brown bread. The service was very promt and friendly and we will be back again. Their fruit gur/ chester cake is to die for.

They have all cakes homemade and taste delicious 🤤 we tried Cajun chicken wrap and was just spot on ! ❤️ Cupcakes were amazing 🤩 Anna is the cutest person serve us very quickly and with big smile 🥰 her lattee was perfect 😍 we enjoyed everything and can't wait to be back !

15/05/2025: A lovely - busy - spot. I had a sausage roll at a very reasonable €6.95 which was delicious. The white chocolate and fudge cookie that followed was nicer again!

09/04/2025: ##NO STARS We ordered from Ruchi Portlaoise last night, and it was a disappointing experience. The delivery driver didn’t even call and gave our food to someone else in the opposite apartment. After 45 minutes of waiting, we called, and he kept repeating that he’d delivered it to ‘some lady,’ offering no apology. He first said he’d deliver replacement food tomorrow, but when we asked what we were supposed to eat at 10 PM (we ordered at 9pm) he agreed to reorder and deliver. The replacement arrived in 15 minutes, but the quality was awful. The spicy chicken wings were half-cooked, tasteless, and just dusted with chili powder. The makhani chicken had watery gravy with hard chicken pieces, and the naan was undercooked. The egg fried rice was the only decent item. I’d like to speak to the owner about this. Overall, terrible service and food—avoid unless they improve.

21/07/2025: We were midway driving back to Dublin airport and pitstop at The Wandering Elk. The sour dough bread was amazing and toasted at the right texture that it doesn’t cut your mouth. The smashed avocado is super fresh. This restaurant is highly recommended by me, even the Karen of Karens wouldn’t even think of complaining to the manager. Minimalistic decorations on the wall, good placements. Go now.

16/07/2025: Food and coffee are good. Fine for me to get a takeaway of either. Seating looks uncomfortable. However, I wouldn’t bring my young children in here. Extremely inappropriate/offensive music being played for a cafe.

26/08/2025: Service was very very slow. Drinks orders were muddled and we had to ask multiple times for a remaining drink which meant one member of the party waited over 20 mins for her drink. Food was ok. Plenty of parking. I would hate to see it at a busy weekend if the service is that slow during the week.

20/08/2025: I booked a table for 11 for Saturday 16th July. It was for my father's 60th birthday celebrations. I had family from America and the UK attending. We were all very much looking forward to being together for the afternoon. This, however, was spoilt as soon as we arrived at the agreed time of 4 p.m. We were greeted by a member of staff whose first words were "you’ll have to be finished by 5:45 p.m we need the table" The afternoon continued to go downhill. We had barely taken our seats or looked at the menu when we we asked if we were ready to order. We asked to order drinks first. When the drinks arrived, there were some missing. We had to ask several times for the missing drinks. When our starters arrived, we had to ask for cutlery as none had been provided. When our main meals arrived, 2 portions of rice were not only in dry lumps but were also cold. We asked for them to be changed. The waitress returned with fresh rice with some nonsense the chef had told her to relay. Again, we had to ask for cutlery. When it arrived, there was not enough. We ordered more drinks, and again, we had to ask repeatedly for a missing pint of Guinness and a pint of Coors. The second pint of Coors never arrived but was charged for. I had previously taken my aunt out to lunch in your restaurant, where she was served mouldy soda bread to go with her soup. I was willing to let that slide and return, hoping for a better experience. I was wrong! The attitude of your staff and the quality of the food and service was very poor. I would have spoken to a manager at the time, but I did not want to spoil the evening any more than it already had been. On leaving the restaurant at approximately 6:20 p.m. the restaurant was virtually empty. It was more than apparent that our table was not needed for a 6 pm booking. What should have been a nice, relaxing family celebration was far from it. I felt embarrassed because I had made the booking and told my overseas relatives how good Irish food and hospitality are. I look forward to your reply.
