23/02/2026: Pizza was the worst Ive ever had. 🤢 The whole family had some and few hours later we were all extremely sick. I tasted it thinking something tasted off but just thought it was the sauce but second slice and it was definitely gone off. The whole night we've been extremely sick. Eat at your own risk here.

26/03/2026: We had dinner hear on sunday, food was just gorgeous, I had goats cheese salad it was delicious followed by the beef dinner, beef was a lump of beef and it just fell apart, then I had apple crumble it came with a scoop of ice cream and a jug of custard.We will definitely go back, staff are so friendly and helpful, id highly recommend it as place to go and get nice food

26/10/2025: We had dinner at the restaurant, and it was delicious, with very generous portions. I tried the Wicklow Venison, which was delicious. The place, although small, is cozy. One nice thing I found nice was that we arrived after a hike in inappropriate clothing, and they were super friendly and attentive.

03/11/2025: I don't even know where to start. I'm an actor and the production company booked this "hotel" for me for a few days. I had really early morning starts for work and got back late in the evenings. I just needed a place to rest at night . When I first rang them, the woman was very rude on the phone. That should have told me everything I needed to know about the place but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she's busy and stressed and that's why she was rude. After filming all day I would just want to eat and sleep (not socialize, or eat out) . Late finish times usually means take away food would be the easiest option however this 'hotel' does not allow you to have take away food. They played really really loud music, they could have turned it down a bit . A man and a guitar how loud can it be???? The sound was awful on my room. I got zero sleep. And somehow it went on from 9:30 pm until 1:30am. When I rang them to complain (I really needed sleep) I was having bad chest pains and thought I was gonna have a heart attack) the guy on the phone tells me " we have trad night, we advertise this everywhere, so why would you book this place to stay in?" This were his exact words. I told him I didn't book it, the company booked it. He was so rude. As well as the woman . I often stay away for work but I've never never experienced such bad manners. They don't care about their guests staying in the accommodations. On fact they're not accommodating at all. I could go on about this but I won't. Eventually I found the most peaceful b&b called the meetings bnb. It was absolute paradise. The staff took such good care of me. Please check this place out before booking at jacobs well. The meetings is surrounded by trees and the two rivers meet. It's tranquil but most importantly the staff is actually KIND , that's all I needed. I know if Jacobs well responds to this it will be the same defensive narci responses. Fyi booking.com did not advertise loud music . I tried sleeping in the shower, hoping it would drown out the noise some what with the fan but it didn't at all. Because the speakers were insanely loud Oof it was an awful awful experience. Might as well save money and sleep in the car. Yes I did! People like this really shouldn't be in business. If you wanna relax and eat what you want go somewhere else. A response to this narcissist, and defensive owner- I called only twice ( only to make payment because you told me it had to be don't over the phone. Absolutely not a single person had let me know that this room was over the bar. The fact that you still come on here to lie shows how absolutely awful you people are. I actually feel sorry to the people that have to deal with you on a daily basis.

27/12/2025: Spend 84 euro on food for family get together was missing a kebab tray . Didn't get much satisfaction when rang back.

18/04/2026: food was really poor especially for price we got two mains and two main kids meals the fish was particularly bad it was inedible. best thing about the meal was the coke zero.

14/12/2025: Service is the pits. Was sat down for 20 mins and totally ignored - no eye contact nothing. Had to ask for menus. Ok - maybe they didn't see us? But then we were still ignored another 10 mins. Place wasn't that busy for a Sunday morning. We just left in the end after 30 mins.

07/01/2026: Lovely place to visit, there is great shop selling everything from food and wine to gifts , and books. We browsed around the shop then ate in the dining area. We had coffee and scones which was delicious. There was also a great selection of hot food and deserts.

03/01/2026: Food is top quality. Sit in or take away. Cakes and scones always amazing. The down side is the staff in the take away section who are generally not friendly or helpful.

20/11/2025: Food is very average, and staff is lovely but not well Organised, they are confused with order so a bit dissappointing.
