24/12/2025: Exceptional service and great food, highly recommend

03/11/2025: I don't even know where to start. I'm an actor and the production company booked this "hotel" for me for a few days. I had really early morning starts for work and got back late in the evenings. I just needed a place to rest at night . When I first rang them, the woman was very rude on the phone. That should have told me everything I needed to know about the place but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she's busy and stressed and that's why she was rude. After filming all day I would just want to eat and sleep (not socialize, or eat out) . Late finish times usually means take away food would be the easiest option however this 'hotel' does not allow you to have take away food. They played really really loud music, they could have turned it down a bit . A man and a guitar how loud can it be???? The sound was awful on my room. I got zero sleep. And somehow it went on from 9:30 pm until 1:30am. When I rang them to complain (I really needed sleep) I was having bad chest pains and thought I was gonna have a heart attack) the guy on the phone tells me " we have trad night, we advertise this everywhere, so why would you book this place to stay in?" This were his exact words. I told him I didn't book it, the company booked it. He was so rude. As well as the woman . I often stay away for work but I've never never experienced such bad manners. They don't care about their guests staying in the accommodations. On fact they're not accommodating at all. I could go on about this but I won't. Eventually I found the most peaceful b&b called the meetings bnb. It was absolute paradise. The staff took such good care of me. Please check this place out before booking at jacobs well. The meetings is surrounded by trees and the two rivers meet. It's tranquil but most importantly the staff is actually KIND , that's all I needed. I know if Jacobs well responds to this it will be the same defensive narci responses. Fyi booking.com did not advertise loud music . I tried sleeping in the shower, hoping it would drown out the noise some what with the fan but it didn't at all. Because the speakers were insanely loud Oof it was an awful awful experience. Might as well save money and sleep in the car. Yes I did! People like this really shouldn't be in business. If you wanna relax and eat what you want go somewhere else. A response to this narcissist, and defensive owner- I called only twice ( only to make payment because you told me it had to be don't over the phone. Absolutely not a single person had let me know that this room was over the bar. The fact that you still come on here to lie shows how absolutely awful you people are. I actually feel sorry to the people that have to deal with you on a daily basis.

22/02/2026: I was in the middle of placing my order when my two year old daughter ran off I started panicking and asked the guy who was taking my order can you please help me to find where my daughter went and he turned and said no sorry im busy!! I said can you please get me the manager then so I can put out an alert she came upto me a dark haired lady with a face saying its your problem to look after your own kids thank god 2 seconds later she turned up if not they weren't willing to help im shocked at the customer service and the tone I was spoken to by this lady thats the manager retraining is needed!! Customer service is so important and its something thats not up to date here you can have nice food but its how you treat your customers that will draw them back building a rapid custom with your regulars! I will never spend my money here again due to this experience so upsetting! I hope my review will help other families not to have this experience going forward and I hope it brings it to someone's attention that there's improvements needed on behaviour and customer service.

26/10/2025: Bia Blasta does good wholesome dinner that does not disappoint and does not leave you hungry! we eat here at least once a week and couldn't not recommend it enough! Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating especially with the kids

25/08/2025: Great cafe, great service, and magnificent vegan sausage rolls! They offer ice for water, perfect for hot days like today (writing this in late summer) Vick is a bit mad but we like that. Join the Vick's cult today 😆 I would also like to mention that it is called Vick's now, not Gourmet Greystones. and it has since 2024. You can see it on the sign and the picture I took a couple of months ago as of when I'm writing this that you can see in the "Photos" tab. Myself and a few others including Vick himself, have suggested an edit to change the name on maps to Vick's, but to no avail. Get on it, Google!

23/03/2026: Lovely staff, very friendly and welcoming. Delicious food. Reasonable prices.

21/03/2026: Food delicious and service great. We had a lovely meal here tonight with kids. Had not been before but will definitely be back. Food was fresh and sweet and sour chicken delicious.

19/02/2026: Brilliant place for a breakfast. Every time I’m in Rathdrum I will call here. 10/10 . The staff are friendly and most welcoming.

30/12/2025: Woman behind the counter refused to serve us and was very rude. Claimed they were too busy to serve us, despite half of their tables being empty. Terrible customer service. AVOID AT ALL COST!

14/12/2025: Service is the pits. Was sat down for 20 mins and totally ignored - no eye contact nothing. Had to ask for menus. Ok - maybe they didn't see us? But then we were still ignored another 10 mins. Place wasn't that busy for a Sunday morning. We just left in the end after 30 mins.

11/12/2025: like so much the food looks so good taste is absurdly nice

17/11/2025: Lovely coffee and getting a chocolate with your coffee is a nice touch. My only piece of feedback is that the seating is very tight and not very comfortable.

08/12/2025: The omelet was very tasty, maybe I wanted a salad on the side. The sandwiches could have had less bread and a little more sauce. The atmosphere is friendly, a great cafe location. Good prices. Thank you.

07/01/2026: Lovely place to visit, there is great shop selling everything from food and wine to gifts , and books. We browsed around the shop then ate in the dining area. We had coffee and scones which was delicious. There was also a great selection of hot food and deserts.

03/01/2026: Food is top quality. Sit in or take away. Cakes and scones always amazing. The down side is the staff in the take away section who are generally not friendly or helpful.

20/11/2025: Food is very average, and staff is lovely but not well Organised, they are confused with order so a bit dissappointing.

24/03/2026: Love love love! Such an incredible treat to eat this beautiful food! There are so many vegetarian options and everything is delicious! Shahi Paneer and Brinjal Masala are my favourites! Garlic naan and pulao rice too! Thank you Uttam! 😎✨
