10/10/2025: A very good experience at Hunter's. Excellent food, a very warm welcome and service for the duration, clean comfortable room, a good hot shower, relaxing environment. I would happily return.

19/10/2025: The place is very nice, but we ordered a carbonara with gluten-free pasta, which was initially served with gluten. We did have time to eat, but they quickly corrected it. They were very kind and discounted the drink we consumed, but this kind of thing is very dangerous. My partner isn't allergic, just intolerant, and she was lucky.

21/09/2025: Nice local theatre with a wide variety of film, plays and musical acts. Only issue is a lack of staff in theatre itself leading to issues with people using phones to take videos etc which can be very distracting.

05/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Experience at The Castle Inn My family and I visited The Castle Inn today, and it was an absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was flawless — every dish, from the starters through to dessert, was perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. You can really tell that care and passion go into every plate. The service was equally impressive. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal, making us feel genuinely welcome. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and hospitality are this consistently excellent. The Castle Inn truly exceeded all our expectations. We’ll definitely be returning — highly recommended for anyone looking for incredible food and a wonderful dining

18/09/2025: It was amazing food. We both had the monkfish and would definitely recommend it. We also tried the rum baba and the creme brulee and they were delicious. We were also given excellent service. We would come back to Wicklow just to eat here.

05/09/2025: A diamond find. Such an amazing concept they have created. Lunch was scrummy and it was impossible to avoid the sweet treats! Charmed to find unusual animals on the farm especially the wee piglets - they were adorable. Even discovered the original Wanderly Wagon here - highly recommend

09/08/2025: My cappuccino was fabulous and the staff were super friendly. Bit sad that i was tight on time and had to get a takeaway. Next time I am in Wicklow, I will have food and will dine in. Can't wait !!

05/10/2025: Poor experience. Butter chicken had two tiny lumps of chicken in it. Ordered fries but never got them. Waited to order dessert but gave up and paid the overpriced bill instead. Wouldn't go again.

17/08/2025: The fish and chips is 19€ on the menu, but suddenly turned 22€ on the bill. When I pointed it to the waiter, he said "we haven't updated the menu, or maybe it's another kind of fish (?!)" Or maybe we were just treated like fools. And just illegal practice...

22/09/2025: What has happened to the firehouse? The food used to be great. I brought a freind for lunch today. I understand if the pizza oven can't be on all the time, so no pizzas today. We both ordered the ham and cheese toasty. When you can't melt the cheese in both lukewarm "toasty" sandwiches there needs to a be serious look at what's going on in the kitchen. A serous drop in standards. My weekly / fortnightly visit might turn into finding a new spot for brunch/lunch. Really dissaponinting to see. Like it's a toasted ham and cheese!
