The best restaurants in Wicklow

10/07/2025: On a first time visit here last evening (9/7/2025) with my daughter and her family, I had the most pleasant of dining experiences. The extremely satisfactory quality and PRICES of the food was equally matched be the genuine and courteous attention afforded us by the young lady server to whom I extend my most sincere gratitude. A return visit? most definitely.

08/06/2025: Have been visiting this gourmet bakery since many years. Best quality in Co.wicklow. lunch & coffee are one of the best in country. There is a fresh fruit & Veg shop which is fantastic too. 😊👍

16/07/2025: Visiting from Australia and family recommended to try here. Food was nice and they have a great kids meal deal. We ordered 4 mains(plus sides) and 1 kids deal but only 4 bowls of rice was served instead of 5 (yes the kids meal comes with rice as per the receipt). Lighting was very dim at our table as per my photos

14/07/2025: Fantastic food and very comfy place. 4 stars only due to bad service from young south Asian waiter who was rude, uninterested and two times forgot our order. When asked are we getting what we ordered he answered back in rude manner. Also, we got naan bread and rice around 5-7min after the main which was strange, we had to ask for it where is it.

08/07/2025: I’ve been to hundreds of pubs across Ireland and this one has to be the best Irish pub in the world. The owner is the loveliest person to ever exist, gave me one Irish coffee for free. If you are in Arklow you must come here

04/07/2025: The Old Ship in Arklow is a must visit,you are welcomed the second you walk in through the door,you are met with a smile,the food is delicious, reasonable prices,all the staff is so friendly, professional, especially Bernie, Sophie & Clodagh,5 stars from me,will definitely be back again soon.

29/06/2025: Really gorgeous spot in the wicklow mountains. Sat out in the terrace and got the beef burger, highly recommended, the bacon jam was great, I normally don't like sweet savoury mixes like that, or relishes, but I loved it. The service was great as well, our server was really lovely, a bit chatty, and gave me a proper dollop of garlic mayo, a babe.

07/07/2025: We're rarely in Bray but today we came across this lovely little place. The owners made us very welcome and there's a lovely atmosphere here. We had absolutely delicious crepes for lunch and a glass of wine. A reason to return to Bray!

14/07/2025: Great salads and panini. Delicious cakes and desserts. Daily hot food options available and fabulous coffee. Very friendly, highly recommended.

10/06/2025: Stopped by here for lunch and the lady was very nice she even moved tables around for us to accommodate us without having to ask. The sandwiches and cannolis were really tasty, my only gripe was a person came in with a big dog and it seems like the owners have no problem with that, I just don't think animals should be sitting where people are trying to eat, especially when it was such a small place.

06/07/2025: A trip with this wonderful tasting to remember!!!! Having travelled so far to just be able to taste the soulful food was a journey for us. But the minute you enter the space the aroma of the food will let you forget the long journey and just want to dive in. Like an excited kid I read their menu, story and reviews online and then decided to explore graystones this weekend. It was indeed peak time when we reached and inspite of the rush Rahat took the time to answer my gazillion questions about the pictures she had on the drinks menu. The drink menu will surely remind you of an old picture album we used to have back in the days. A beautiful story about the importance of the name of the restaurant with every picture narrating a journey and story of their hardwork and dedication ❤️. Now for a gastronomic journey which they took us too with every dish we had was top notch quality and taste was just chef kiss 😘. An amazing kids menu with chicken skewers and chicken tikka masala as main course and the best strawberry lemonade in Dublin hands down ☺️. Once the kids were sorted we got the afghani chicken and the best seller lyallpuri paneer as recommended by Jessil with the garlic naans. Beautifully cooked meat and paneer with every byte bursting with flavor. The pilaf, vegetable biryani that comes with an amazing white chole is an interesting combination. Infact I could eat that chole as it is all day. Falling short of words to describe the aloo tikki chaat hope the picture is doing justice and enticing all the readers to visit this place and try it 🥰 Kudos and cheers to an amazing humble host Rahat and to the ever smiling rockstar manager Jessil thank you for having us and serving only the best ❤️ Protip: book your table in advance not everyone gets lucky like us 😜

21/06/2025: I am visiting my Irish friends. I first met you two years ago. Tonight I enjoyed a wonderful cultural offering. I liked that the hostess welcomed us and I also noticed later that she was walking around the hall to make sure that everything was in order for the guests. We were served by a wonderful young man, Jason if I am not mistaken. Very diligent and hardworking. Kudos to him.

What truly made the evening unforgettable were the locals. Friendly, warm, and effortlessly engaging, they treated us like longtime neighbors rather than tourists just passing through. Conversations sparked over shared laughter and stories, and it wasn’t long before we were swapping tales like old friends. The evening crescendoed with live performances from immensely talented local musicians who brought the house down. From foot-stomping folk to heartfelt ballads, the energy in the room was electric, authentic, unpretentious, and brimming with artistry. These performers weren’t just playing music; they were telling the story of Ireland through every chord and lyric. 14/07/2025: A great place with a fantastic atmosphere, a great place to eat something delicious! The fish and chips are very good!

12/07/2025: I went to the town last year and had Lebanese food for the first time in my life and it was absolutely amazing. I visited the town again today and I just go to this restaurant again. The food is still great and the servants are very nice and friendly as they were.

10/07/2025: First time here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely lovely. My husband got fish and chips. Fish was lovely the batter light and crispy.

27/06/2025: Lovely local pub. The waitress was very kind and friendly. Good place to come for a drink. We can’t rate the food because we are gluten intolerant and there were not many options.
