21/01/2025: First time to this Pub,food was absolutely amazing plenty of it and very good prices Home cooked food like you would make at home,the service was fantastic only one waitress on but she was very efficient and friendly,she wasn't a bit phased at the place being so busy on a Monday night.The bar man was also very friendly.I would definitely return and would highly recommend

16/03/2025: Just out of a casual drink with the family when the bartender got rude and smart with me over a small matter, he said my card wouldn’t tap and I forgot my pin so I asked in kind to reboot the machine and I’ll pay with a different card his answer was “I don’t know your effing pin” and I asked please don’t shout or be smart with me I am paying and trying to. His voice escalated and he provoked a question saying “what you going to do? Come behind the bar and I said if I have to I will” that was my error I should not have reacted to his provoking. I then got shouted at by the bar manager in addition and that security have been alerted and will me on their way so I said okay no problem I’ve done nothing wrong and to add to this the two senior bar staff members in and intimidating manor started shouting across the full bar in front of other customers in an attempt to provoke me further which Im sure cctv can point out. I pointed out that I am not the one shouting to anyone across a packed bar as it’s not professional I am going here 10+ years as my local and haven’t encountered this ever, I love the music here and love the atmosphere The bar manager did not even let me speak to him when he told me to leave , he wouldn’t listen to my side of the situation he said he had heard enough. I think it’s poor that management would not hear both sides before coming to a conclusion I will praise security from Adrian , not that he could do much in the moment but he offered comfort and an ear to listen. I don’t expect anything to come back from this but he listened and heard me out which was something I am grateful for. I was very disappointed today. Not sure if we will be back. I know I won’t get any apology from the management. I am sorry how I reacted to their shouting but it seems their chauvinistic character might shadow out all customer service experiences now. Just sad to experience on a family day out

28/01/2025: Excellent place for family or friends gathering, the food is delicious and for French people in Ireland, it really reminds of home ! Definitely book before coming as the place is quite popular, walks in are a bet that may not be won ! Service was a bit slow on the day we went (we waited for 45min between the main crepes and sweet ones) due to a bigger group and a smaller staff team but it doesn't take away the overall positive experience we had ! We will be back for sure 😊

25/02/2025: Pizza can be improved. Tomato was bland and with so much sweetness and onion flavor. The mozzarella or ches wasn't fresh and flavorless. The tiramisu was all right, but missing the texture of the mascapone and yolk. Not bad but price for the overall quality IMO.

23/02/2025: This was my first time here. As we walked in, I could see it was busy. The sitting area is long and narrow, which doesn't give much privacy. I wouldn't say it's an intimate setting, it had a more "cafe" feeling. We were shown to our table, and given menus. It took a while for our order to be taken, but once it was, the food was served very quickly. The food was delicious, and the service was very prompt and the staff very polite. I would go again, but I'd request a different sitting position, as we sat near the door. The price at the end of the dinner was very reasonable too, even given that I included a tip.

05/03/2025: Would highly recommend James.C. Had been getting my hair cut in various places before he cut my hair. Was never too sure about what I wanted, but he helped me figure out what would be best and always takes his time and does immaculate work. This is now the only place and man I will get my hair cut by. Best haircut I have ever had. Great stuff James.

04/02/2025: Fantastic food! Highly recommend a visit to Chakra, welcoming and friendly staff and sumptuous, delicious food. The daal mahkni in particular was simply superb. Full of real depth and flavour. The 36 hour slow cook makes a noticeable difference. Service was quick despite the restaurant being busy. The 3 of us were in and out within the hour.

22/01/2025: Rooms were a bit dated and some had wallpaper coming off the walls in places, few bathrooms still had carpet on the floors. Small corrodors throughout the accommodation although the hotel itself is very old. It looks like a good option for a wedding although it wasn't the aesthetic we were looking for. Fantastic location as it's well out of the way. If the rooms had a revamp it would be a fantastic place.

14/01/2025: I had the pleasure of photogarphing Ellen & Paul's wedding at Rathsallagh House - What an experience from start to finish. These guys really know how to run a good show from start to finish! Every direction you turn there are opportunities for photographs! I can't wait to work here again soon!
