09/08/2025: My cappuccino was fabulous and the staff were super friendly. Bit sad that i was tight on time and had to get a takeaway. Next time I am in Wicklow, I will have food and will dine in. Can't wait !!

23/06/2025: I came from Canada to visit Ireland and stopped by this beautiful cafe and fell in love with it. The owner Liz Anne is so kind and caring and takes care and knows every single customer. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the french toast . I felt as if I was back home in familiar surroundings. Liz Anne treats every person like family. Do not miss this place if you visit Ireland

22/08/2025: Fantastic vegan fare!! Was disappointed when I arrived too late the evening before to the Happy Pear. Ran into Fergus the next day who guided me to his daughters restraunt in Arklow, which exceeded my expectations for high quality, whole food, plant based food! Delish!! And Thanx for shouting me lunch Fergus! Definitely one of the highlights of my 2300 km bike tour around Ireland!

10/07/2025: We dined beneath sun umbrellas in Loco Grocer's garden this week and what a treat! I chose the Melt and my daughter had a Coronation Chicken sandwich. Both were inventive and the mix of flavours was delicious. Each person who dealt with us was engaging, friendly and very efficient. We'll definitely be back!

09/09/2025: Hostess (owner) was warm and even made a dish for me that was not on the menu. New and spacious. Not a upscale resteraunt but clean an great food.

01/06/2025: Wouldn’t waste your time or your money . Didn’t appreciate the attitude of the senior bar man and the manager was told we were advised not to return to the pub very unprofessional behaviour and made us feel very uncomfortable.

20/07/2025: Lovely first visit. Superior room with balcony ideal overlooking the golf course. Nice breakfast and bar food with friendly staff. Location a bit remote but can drive to Glendalough in 35 mins and Kildare Village about the same.

17/07/2025: Dead flies in the rice, avoid the bar food. Showers can't maintain consistent temperature while in use. Very poor customer service, no response received to feedback given to them.

27/08/2025: Arrived late in the day but had a nice welcome and looked after very well by the young lady managing the floor with a couple of other covers, and kitchen by the looks of it. Food was freshly cooked,tasty and there was no rush put on us. Many thanks.visited on 27 Aug 25.

20/08/2025: Dropped in of the dual carriageway. We had a really nice home made scone,butter,jam and cream. Very friendly and efficient staff. Interesting if somewhat expensive shop attached with unusual pieces of furniture and art Well worth dropping in for either a snack or something more substantial.

30/07/2025: Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. I've rarely seen such a discrepancy between Google reviews and reality. Significantly below average: the pizza was far too greasy and loaded with tons of cheese. The pasta dish was also too greasy and lacking in refinement.

08/09/2025: We visited this restaurant for dinner to commemorate a special occasion. Our original choice of location were all fully booked but this place had availability. Since we were dining with a toddler we asked for a quieter spot upstairs away from the crowd. The staff kindly accommodated us and we had the whole upstairs area to ourselves which was a good start. Service overall was good and the food was okay, nothing particularly memorable but nothing to complain about either. The issue began when our toddler got excited and let out a quick scream, as toddlers sometimes do. Almost instantly a staff member came upstairs and told us that customers downstairs had complained about being noisy. We found this hard to believe as it happened within seconds, far too soon for anyone to have reported it and for the staff to come up. Given that the downstairs music was louder and people were talking over dinner, it did not feel like a realistic concern. This left us feeling that our celebration had been spoiled unnecessarily. Afterward another staff member stood nearby and kept looking at us, which felt uncomfortable. When we made eye contact the staff asked if everything was okay, we said yes and staff went downstairs. It would have been better if they had simply told us directly to keep the toddler calm rather than implying that other customers had complained. Toward the end the staff handling our order, who was kind, brought ice cream and said it's free for you which we politely declined. We understood it was an attempt to make up for the awkward situation. Interestingly our toddler noticed everything and still said a mature thank you very much before we left which was a sweet moment. One staff member gave us a genuine smile and wished us a good day while leaving, which we acknowledged. The experience left a bad impression. We will not be returning, nor ordering from them again online and I would not recommend this place to families with young children who want to dine in.

05/08/2025: Really nice garden centre and cafe, with a series of charming interconnected gardens to walk through behind the garden centre. Prices are better than in garden centres closer to Dublin and the new pavilion means all of the plants are under cover. Cafe closes at 5.30 and centre at 6

02/08/2025: Disappointed in the overall care and maintenance here! Toilets were very stinky… even in the cafe it was possible to smell the toilets!

11/07/2025: Dropped here out of sun. Decided to treat myself to an americano and chocolate cake. It cost 10.20. The chocolate cake was served with cream. I had a large americano. The coffee and cake were absolutely delicious. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. Highly recommend this place
