23/06/2025: I came from Canada to visit Ireland and stopped by this beautiful cafe and fell in love with it. The owner Liz Anne is so kind and caring and takes care and knows every single customer. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the french toast . I felt as if I was back home in familiar surroundings. Liz Anne treats every person like family. Do not miss this place if you visit Ireland

01/07/2025: Emilia’s is a very small restaurant in a very small town near the powers Court gardens and hotel. It appears to be a family owned place and the food feels that way. Homemade food. The food is very nice and I would recommend it for dinner. The restaurant itself is fairly simple and they have a lot of good options to eat. We will be going back.

20/06/2025: Nice grounds to walk around. It was not crowded mid-week in late May. They allow outside food to be brought in and we saw several young families having picnics. Easy access with public bus. You just need to walk a bit (10-15 min) to get to Kilruddery.
18/06/2025: The guided tour is excellent! I have been touring around Ireland for several weeks now and this has still been the best tour of a grand house. It makes a difference that the family still lives here and the guide is a member of the household staff. The hidden garden is a must see and make sure to buy the wood fired pizza.

Ordered teppan teriyaki chicken and seafood yakisoba, they were good value for the huge portion, free prawn crakers while you wait for your order. 😋
Staff friendly and attentive
Free parking if you come in early, they have seven spots in the underground car park.
13/07/2025: The food quality is generally very good, but when it comes to spicier dishes, the flavor could use a bit more kick. That said, it’s still an amazing place to eat and enjoy the beautiful interior scenery. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff are incredibly friendly — always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you’re happy. Definitely worth a visit!

26/06/2025: Reallt tasty food, comes out fast. Service overall good but one young waiter was very awkward and was poorly trained. He kept reaching across our faces with his arm instead of moving around our bodies and use his right arm from our right side, which I found annoying. Atmosphere is OK but could be improved.

15/07/2025: I live locally to La Fig and can't resist getting a weekly pizza there. It's very reasonably priced for the quality of food provided. Although concentrating mostly on pizzas, the quality of food is above par compared to many high end Italian restaurants found in the capital. They also sell coffee by the bean and preserves from the continent, amongst very well made dips/sides and cakes. The
quality of the products they use is obviously chosen by a very experienced person. There is hardly any pretense in the shop itself, just amazing food, which personally for me is preferable. Definitely not your average pizza shop and a bit of a hidden gem in the area. Enjoy it.

It didn't disappoint, staff were very attentive but didn't come across pushy, our roast beef was excellent, if you are in the area you have to give it a try xx

20/07/2025: Lovely first visit. Superior room with balcony ideal overlooking the golf course. Nice breakfast and bar food with friendly staff. Location a bit remote but can drive to Glendalough in 35 mins and Kildare Village about the same.
17/07/2025: Dead flies in the rice, avoid the bar food. Showers can't maintain consistent temperature while in use. Very poor customer service, no response received to feedback given to them.
