The Dining Room at Rathsallagh

Dunlavin
21/04/2025: Our daughter and her now husband had their wedding and reception there this weekend 19th April 2025 .The venue is incredible and Joe and his amazing team went out of their way to make sure that it was the most magical day for them and our family and friends . The attention to detail from start to finish and everything from the accommodation to food and atmosphere was first class . We as a family have such happy memories going forward.we have no hesitation in Rathsallagh House a first class recommendation Christine Coby
22/01/2025: Rooms were a bit dated and some had wallpaper coming off the walls in places, few bathrooms still had carpet on the floors. Small corrodors throughout the accommodation although the hotel itself is very old. It looks like a good option for a wedding although it wasn't the aesthetic we were looking for. Fantastic location as it's well out of the way. If the rooms had a revamp it would be a fantastic place.

Molloys Coffee Shop

Bray
05/04/2025: Love this place. This is a particular type of cafe, it’s simple and old school, you won’t get a fancy modern complex dishes here. You will get an excellent cooked breakfast, slightly gruff and friendly staff, and big lovely portions. For what this place does, it’s absolutely excellent and long may it last.
27/03/2025: Good coffee at a very good price, friendly staff. Good parking for your bike right outside

13/04/2025: Delicious food in this lovely, albeit quite small, café. The cinnamon buns are the best I've had but will sell out fast so get there early.
23/02/2025: Amazing food and lovely staff! Always a great time when we visit! Dog friendly so our dogs really enjoyed their time with us having brunch! Amazing sausage rolls, delicious toast options and huge and tasty breakfast burritos! The coffees are lovely and made with patience too!!

The Horse & Hound, Delgany

Greystones
17/05/2025: Food appalling. Service is terrible. Could be such a great food venue, However, quality of food and standard of service extremely poor. Chips were over seasoned with a tonne of salt. Prawns overcooked tasteless and muscles same. I’d imagine an inexperienced chef and young poorly trained staff, is partly the reason, such a shame
24/04/2025: Have to say the food was lovely and the young lady that served us was very nice well mannered and polite I think her name is Tara

Chakra by Jaipur

Greystones
30/04/2025: Visited 'Chakra' as it was suggested to us by quite a few. The visual experience was great. We had ordered: Starters: 1) Jal Tarag Scallops 2) Rangi Chicken Tasting Mains: 1) Rawat's Malai Monkfish 2) Kerala Lamb Pepper Fry Bread Basket Kids: Murgh Malai Tikka - with korma sauce, rice, butter naan and dessert Fried Prawns - with korma sauce, rice, butter naan and dessert Desserts: Creme Brulee Belgian Chocolate Bahar Drinks: Chakra Passionfruit Martini Elderflower Daiquiri Mango, Saffron & Honey Lassi Mango Lassi for the Kids Chakra ticks all the boxes for visual representations of their dishes. When it comes to taste, well it did not match my expectations. I guess the dishes are tweaked too much that it looses its orginality. We enjoyed the starters and the kids liked their dishes. The mains....hmmm.... what can I say.... Rawat's Malai Monkfish - The monk fish was bland, a simple seasoning would have elevated the dish. Liked the cutlet and tomato rice though. Kerala Lamb Pepper Fry - I am quite sure this was in no way a 'Kerala' style dish. I come from Kerala and I am quite well versed with the distinct flavors of my home state. Desserts were thoroughly enjoyed and the show stopper was the "Creme Brulee" Will we come back... for the experience, Yes. For the food, I am not too sure. Probably it's the Indian in me looking for authentic tastes in Ireland.
15/04/2025: Much anticipated visit to the Chakra by Jaipur in Greystones on our trip to Ireland. The trio chicken was very good. The momo, chicken kebab boneless and the drum stick were perfectly marinated and beautifully presented. The veg and non veg thalli weren’t that impressive. The palak paneer and palak chicken were exactly the same. The kofta curry and coconut prawn were exactly the same with added coconut milk in the prawn. It’s obvious that base sauces are reused. The dahl tadka was acceptable. Not great. The gun powder potatoes (basically chips with Cajun seasonings) was presented as Bombay Potatoes. The creme brulee was very nice. The decor is very tastefully done. I’m giving it a five star because the above observations would only be obvious to someone who cooks Indian food. It’s a good restaurant if you’re after a fairly good Indian meal. However it’s not exceptional.

Killruddery House & Gardens

21/05/2025: Killruddery House and Gardens is a historic gem just outside Bray. Home to the Brabazon family since 1618, the estate features beautiful 17th-century Versailles-inspired formal gardens, a charming Tudor Revival house and a working organic farm. The inside of the house is well worth a visit too – it’s rich in history, beautifully preserved and the guided tour adds so much to the experience. Special shout-out to Raymond, the knowledgeable and engaging guide. Highly recommended!
20/05/2025: Beautiful, the staff are so nice here. The grounds are gorgeous and the house tour is so interesting. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and informative. The pizza is delicious and the farm shop has great products.

The Strand Hotel Bray

Bray
22/05/2025: Amazing customer service on Monday, May 12, 2025, at check-in around 4:45 p.m. Amazing views and location. I was presented with a situation on my bill, and they tried everything to help fix it. Now I know it’s the hotel chain that charges and ripped everything to fix it. I also had a small issue the night of our stay and needed ice, and they were so kind.
21/05/2025: Great location, on the Bray seafront a few steps from the sea and the city center. Very friendly and professional staff. The perfect room always clean and tastefully furnished, equipped with a kettle for water, various herbal teas and milk coffee. Every day they changed the towels and tidied the room. The restaurant on the ground floor is very nice in Irish pub style, here too the staff is very welcoming and professional. The menu is truly delicious. Recommended.

Pink Salt

Bray
08/05/2025: Today we visit pink salt for dine in for the first time, The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to youngsters and adults alike, we tried butter chicken and and samosa chaat. They were all exquisite and the most delicious indian food I have ever tried in Ireland .
12/04/2025: Food was excellent. Service was very good, even though 2 mistakes were made but they were quickly rectified. Finally we ordered 2 double espresso. What we were served, was not espresso, it was weak instant or percolated coffee and for €8. What was otherwise excellent was spoiled at the end.
