The best restaurants in Wicklow

01/11/2024: We ended up at The Horses and Hounds in Delgany due to all the filming happening in the area, which made it hard to find a room elsewhere. I'm so glad we stayed here! It turned out to be a charming, family friendly spot filled with character and warmth... From the moment we checked in, Elena was incredibly welcoming, setting a positive tone for our visit. Ben at the bar was fantastic, providing friendly service that made our evenings enjoyable. The location is great, right next to a lively Irish pub that adds a fun atmosphere with its music. While it can be a bit lively for some, I found it added to the experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with every meal showcasing local flavours... Despite a couple of minor issues, the overall experience far outweighed them. This is truly a 5/5 place, and we will definitely be back! Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay so memorable!

22/10/2024: It was my first time eating in the Horse and Hound, and I was astounded by my experience there. The food, service and overall experience was excellent. Plus it was a nice benefit being able to move to sit in the bar afterwards for some drinks.

19/10/2024: Lovely morning for young children at the play barn Halloween special. Great value with entry including a hot chocolate and pumpkin for the little ones. Walk through farm and indoor play barn a perfect way to spend a few hours, and great toasties in the restaurant !

15/11/2024: Great cafe - very homely feel to the place. Food is great, big portions and prices very fairly. The staff are absolutely lovely - really friendly crew. Haven't been in for an evening meal, but I'll definitely be giving it a crack soon.

07/11/2024: After a hike I was looking for a quiet pint with a sea view. None of the other pubs and hotels on the seafront fit the bill, but the conservatory at the Hibernia made my day. Fast friendly service as usual.

06/11/2024: We only took coffee to go, but the coffee was very good and the staff was quick and friendly and the prices were normal...first time I see cubed sugar here..highly recommend

01/10/2024: Lovely little cafe. The coffee was really nice, and the cake was super fresh. Daughter thought the hot chocolate could have been a bit chocolatelier 🤣

06/10/2024: Long wait to have food served. Very stingy with giving us a jug of water for the table. Eventually had to buy the bottle. The naan bread was delicious and crispy but the mains were bland and devoid of any taste. The staff were friendly and helpful but wouldn't return. Better Indian/Nepali/Pakistani restaurants in Bray.

26/09/2024: Beautiful meal - service was a little bit slow, but the food was absolutely worth the wait. The restaurant is really lovely - cosy atmosphere, and friendly staff complete the package. It was our 1st time there, and we will definitely return.

14/11/2024: Fantastic round here. Course in great shape and every hole was interesting! Friendly staff in the pro shop and restaurant afterwards. Great views too! Will be back.

30/09/2024: Food is good (replace dry skinny french fries with chips) - but the cost of soft drinks takes the proverbial. A 200ml tiny bottle of coke for €3 - aka €5 for a standard 330ml can is The Burnaby laughing at their customers. The staff were embarrassed when I said how small the bottle is. The place isn't that busy and won't be if you're treating Greystones locals like that. Reputation and trust are important.

15/10/2024: Great place for a date night or just a few casual drinks. Entertainment on the weekends, including Sunday. Always good bands and signers with a good atmosphere and good fun. Great place for watching sports, and always try to have your match available to watch. Staff are friendly and attentive. They love to get to know their locals. They get to know the locals. Bit of a homley atmosphere. Many veritys in drinks and by far the best guninnes in bray. Family run business. 5 stars all the way.

30/08/2024: Nice little pub we found in bray barman very helpful and prices reasonable sports on the TV for everyone no food available so just a drinkers pub give it a try if your in bray.

06/06/2024: 60s style guesthouse. It seems that everything has stopped here, but the services are updated and excellent. Excellent breakfast. The pub on the ground floor is very welcoming.

02/11/2024: You can always tell how good a woodfired pizza spot is by how good their margarita is. Beautiful pizza, happened to stop in on my way to Glendalough. This pizza is head and shoulders above ANYTHING I’ve had in Venice. The dough I believe is made fresh in house which is always a bonus & they also do a ‘Lemon Mayo Coleslaw’ which I’m dying to try & will definitely get the next time I’m passing. Would like to see more of a selection on the ‘sides’ part of the menu. Price is probably a bit on the steeper side for some, although I don’t mind paying it for good quality food but I think others would find something to say. Overall 9.5/10. Would return.

31/10/2024: I'm a tourist here, and I love the brownies,my friend ordered chinese food next door and got food poisoning, I think I'm lucky compared to her.
