01/03/2025: A really lovely meal. Do yourself a favour and order the Tart Tatin if it’s on the menu 🤤 The staff were super friendly and attentive.

12/02/2025: No. 35 came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. Every dish was just perfect. And the staff were so friendly and welcoming. One of the best meals I’ve had in years.

15/01/2025: We had made a reservation at this lovely restaurant for our one night in Kenmare. We were seated on time upstairs , which was a quiet and cozy room with only a few tables. The wine selection was good and we had a wonderful meal, easily the best meal we had on our entire 10 days in Ireland. We started with the pear, pecan and blue cheese salad, a nice portion, easily split for two people with just the right amount of dressing. The Mancini balls with goat cheese were very tasty. Our meals were delicious , the hake with potatoes and leeks and the lamb ragu. All of it was outstanding. However, the service was terrible. Our waitress, Emily, was impatient and rude. We asked a few questions as it was our first time dining here and wanted a few moments to look at the menu. She rolled her eyes at us the first time and the second time when she returned with our water when we had a question about the wine. When we asked if we were bothering her, she said no but proceeded to ignore our table the rest of the evening , notably chatting and serving other tables nearby. We are not difficult patrons and are very engaging and gracious to those that work hard in restaurants. We didn't let it ruin our meal. Her lack of service was reflected in her lack of tip and we did speak to the manager on the way out when he asked us how our meal was. I would return because of the outstanding food, but ask for a different server.

26/01/2025: Really bad experience! We were repeat customers and had really high hopes.We had booked for a table of 8 almost 2 weeks in advance, we arrived at our allocated time and went up to the host stand to let them know that we were here, we were immediately met with hostility, the manager Mark approached me and said “absolutely not no walk ins reservations only” I let him know we had a reservation and he said “oh yea,how?” I told him I made it online and went to find out booking confirmation, he didn’t even acknowledge what I said and just stormed off, when he came back a few mins later he screamed at my whole party in front of the restaurant “if yere even thinking about having a drink we better have ID”, we were eventually sat down however everyone was uncomfortable and wanted to leave- if we could have guaranteed that we would get a table of 8 in another restaurant we would have left but we couldn’t. The entire time we were being watched by other waitresses to report back to Mark what we were saying and doing. To make the experience worse dogs were left into the restaurant but they didn’t want us there. Olga our server was trying to compensate for her managers rude behavior and she provided wonderful service however this was over shadowed by the feeling of being unwelcome Will not be returning again

30/12/2024: We were in the danny mann for 14 of us and although they were very busy, the manager accommodated us on two separate tables. The food was out of this world and the service was top class. The staff were rushed off their feet as every seat was full. It was a great afternoon and we would highly recommend it.

26/11/2024: This cafe is incredible! Large selection of home-baked treats as well as a food menu. I stopped in on a rainy day while cycling the gap of dunloe and they offered to watch my bike for me while I hiked up, and even lent me an umbrella!

04/03/2025: Rows and rows of beautiful whiskey bottles embrace you as you sit at the bar. This place is world class for Irish whiskey 🥃 selection coupled with truly welcoming service. The staff is very knowledgeable and at the ready. Ten beer 🍺 taps flowing with hard to find Irish ☘️craft. Food was solid as well! When in Killarney- stop on by for some good spirits. 04/03/2025: Staff were great! The food was absolutely amazing! I had the venison shank and had to slow myself down several times from eating it so fast and savor it, it was delicious! Thank you♥️

03/03/2025: House Ale's Beer and Stout sold here.Wine available also for those that prefer. The pizzas 🍕 looked and tasted lovely. I had the chorizo pizza and a slice of the chicken one. Very reasonably priced, there was a group of 12 and we had seating for all . Will be back again when I'm back in Killarney.

22/02/2025: Pizza was very tasty and nice atmosphere. The waitress was very nice and attentive, regularly asked if we needed anything else and accordingly we drank a lot. The homemade beers are highly recommended, especially the lager was delicious. Even the music was good, making it the perfect place in Killarney for delicious pizza and good beer

26/02/2025: We had a lovely stay, nice cozy hotel, location is perfect, everything on the foot step, all the staff is nice.

23/02/2025: Nuala, Valeria and all the team at Killarney Royal gave us the best welcome ever and made sure we had a most memoriable mid term treat, Roxanne at the leisure centre so kindly dried our daughters hair and pleated it to such a wow standard it would not be matched at any hair salon, looking forward to returning to the Killarney Royal again. Huge thanks from the O'Sullivan Family, Co Cork......

30/12/2024: A cozy and inviting restaurant with a warm stone brick interior. I had the boxty with chicken filling, and the sauce was really nice. The homemade brown bread served at the start was a lovely touch. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and the service was great. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming setting.

31/12/2024: We were amazed with the food at Solas. Very attentive staff. Beautifully presented. The only problem which isn't their fault was a large group who were extremely loud. It's such a small, intimate place that the noise level is pretty bad.

17/12/2024: After the ridiculously expensive "meal" we had in Solas last week we won't be going back ever again.This place is like the Emperor's new clothes. The prices have reached a mocking their customers level and the quantity and quality of the food,a lot of deep fried food,has been lowered significantly. Know where your food comes from indeed.Combine this with the price of the wine,(they should be ashamed of the mark up per glass) and you not only feel hangry leaving but you also feel like you've just been mugged.
