The huddle bar
Tralee
05/04/2025: Came to Ireland for holiday and visited The Huddle Bar. Felt like home.
23/02/2025: Best Sports Bar in Ireland. Great for watching the game (seemingly any game), loads of screens with all the games on with good sound, a pool table, a great atmosphere and somehow also child-friendly during the day.
Fairly priced food (in Ireland in 2025!), great staff, great craic at the bar with plenty of characters around and a great pint of Guinness.

El personal es encantador - llegamos sin reserva y el camarero nos sentó y era muy agradable. Comida de buena calidad a precios razonables - vale la pena visitar aquí

Charlie Foley's
Killarney
19/03/2025: Went for a drink with a friend. Perfect to hang out and talk.
12/01/2025: Gran be&be,

The Cheese Shop
Tralee
07/04/2025: A great Cheesemongers with a good selection of top quality irish and European cheese. Samples were offered of everything I wanted to try and the lady who owns it is full of knowledge. These gems of independent owned business's are few are far between so it was a delight to find.
Unfortunately I didn't eat there this time but the lunches looked incredible and next time I'm back in Ireland it is on my must visit list.
23/11/2024: We had 2 Vegan options with salad. Absolutely lovely. The Coffee was to die for. It's is unsurprisingly a cheese shop as well so we had to purchase some lovely Irish made cheese.

Lana Tralee Asian Street Food
Tralee
19/03/2025: If you're a lover of Asian food or if you've never tried it before, this is a good place to try. The food is plentiful, delicious, and what I value most is the customer service. The service was excellent, especially the work of Maria, a Ukrainian employee. She was very kind, friendly, and helpful. She advised us on different dishes, and it ended up being a pleasant experience. We'll definitely be back.

Jack Mac's Pub
Tralee
07/03/2025: We went in here after a Kerry Dublin GAA match. Place was jammed, we eventually found seats at the bar and had great craic. The locals were gracious in defeat (we are Dubs )and we had good chats about the match with no animosity at all. Everyone was friendly, staff were great joining in with the craic as well. Carz loved the pint of Coors and I settled on a local Cider which was really good.
27/02/2025: Busy pub with a nice atmosphere. Was able to watch the Derry/Galway match before heading to Austin Stack Park. Good and friendly place. Guinness was top notch too.

Lizzy's Little Kitchen
Listowel
08/03/2025: LIZZY’S LITTLE KITCHEN
#PRtrip
What a pleasure to finally meet the force of nature that is Lizzy Lyons at her amazing café, Lizzy’s Little Kitchen. Located on Church Street in the delightful Kerry town of Listowel, the restaurant serves up delicious, nutritious dishes using locally sourced foods.
There are plenty of excellent choices and crowd-pleasing favourites on the menu, served up indoors in the pretty café, or in warmer weather, al fresco in the covered outdoor terrace which is full of historical significance; Listowel-born Irish writer, Bryan MacMahon, used to keep his horses here when he lived nearby.
We had a wonderful lunch, enjoying Lizzy’s sparkling company and gorgeous, homemade food. The Salad of the Day was served on a bed of mixed greens topped with a cornucopia of grated carrot, spring onion, peppers, cucumber, red onion, sweet potato, avocado, beetroot, feta cheese, pomegranate, cherry tomato, candied nuts, cous cous, tabbouleh, and a tangy pomegranate dressing.
And the Open Salmon Sandwich had a perfectly cooked fillet of salmon resting on homemade brown bread, drizzled with Marie Rose sauce, and accompanied by a selection of house salads.
Of course, make absolutely sure you leave some room for Lizzy’s wonderful, freshly baked desserts and legendary sweet treats!
What a brilliant afternoon of fun, fantastic food, and finding a fabulous new friend! We’ll definitely be back!

Maddens
Tralee
29/03/2025: Consistently great! Have visited this gorgeous dog-friendly café in the heart of Tralee town, many times. Delicious coffee, welcoming and friendly staff and very tasty treats. And some cool merch as well!
11/03/2025: I emailed Maddens on the 23rd February and i received no reply so unfortunately I have to resort to this review.
My family and I were in this establishment on Saturday 22nd February 2025. I had my twin boys in their buggy as normal. My husband went to order coffee and as I sat down to open a zip lock bag with some brown bread for my babies I was met by the rudest woman and out of nowhere stated "No outside snacks allowed" in a horrible tone with a horrible attitude. Two customers at the large main table (beside us) commented "wow what the hell is that about" and I was so shocked.
Unfortunately, my husband had paid for the coffee but I went out to the counter and asked if I was not allowed to feed my babies as we would have to leave if they couldn't eat. The rude lady replied infront of a group of people including my husband and stated "only in a sealed container". So it went from no outside snacks without any explanation to something about a sealed container. We had to leave most of our coffee behind us as were denied the ability to feed our babies a snack. Would it have been so hard to provide me with a container or a sealed container if that is the policy.? As another coffee shop owner pointed out , a sealed zip lock bag is a sealed container.
You really should go to Dealz and stock up on sealed containers so that you can enforce this rule and have a system where they are returned when they people are leaving. This can ofcourse be done in a kind manner. If this is a policy, that rude lady just had to explain it to me and how dare she treat me and my family like that. We will never again set foot in Maddens and we have witnesses who can testify the way we were treated. We used to frequent maddens almost weekly and always gave snacks to our babies. This was never mentioned to us before.
Restaurants and coffee shops talk relentlessly about costs , vat etc but you need to look at how customers are discriminated. If I put up a social media post on this there would be uproar and it's well you know it. What has a sealed container got to do with anything? Because the Food Safety Authority of Ireland does not include this as part of their legislation. Your dog was licking the bottom of my buggy , that's surely more concerning to an Environmental Health Officer!!
I have asked 6 coffee shop owners and none of them have ever heard of this policy/rule/power trip. I have researched Michelin star restaurants and it's nowhere to be found. I also want to know where this sign is displayed as a friend went in later in the day and searched every wall and there is no sign outlining this to customers.

Smuggler’s Inn
12/03/2025: Attended the sauna area on the weekend of February 3rd 2025, we were greeted by the really friendly owner who allowed us to access the area ahead of our appointment time, it was fantastic, lovely changing and relaxing area with such great views, the hot tub, sauna and ice bath were all included in the cost which was really reasonable. Really enjoyed our time here.
21/02/2025: Lovely views beside the beach plenty of parking.
