03/05/2025: What a cool spot! Located right in the town center just steps away from everything Killarney has to offer. The staff was absolutely amazing and made the stay so comfortable you felt like you were staying at a family members home. They even surprised us with one of their premier king rooms since it was my wifes birthday. Buckleys Bar was a cool spot and had great food, so did the breakfast every morning downstairs. The room was very historical, but clean and tidy, my wife absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend this hotel for anybody looking to get a real original taste of Killarney!

23/02/2025: Best Sports Bar in Ireland. Great for watching the game (seemingly any game), loads of screens with all the games on with good sound, a pool table, a great atmosphere and somehow also child-friendly during the day. Fairly priced food (in Ireland in 2025!), great staff, great craic at the bar with plenty of characters around and a great pint of Guinness.

03/06/2025: Our organized tour brought us to Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa for two nights promising a “4 star experience but you will be so impressed it should be 5 stars”. We arrived and they had our names listed incorrectly. Which out of 5 hotels it was the only one to do that so I know it wasn’t the tour company. Our room was located in a section that seems to have been long forgotten - it’s on the first floor but up a set of stairs - so unlike all of the other rooms that started with a 1, these rooms began with a 4. I called it the room with zero view. If you are coming to this hotel to see the beautiful mountain view countryside - make sure you don’t get a room in this section as all of these rooms have a view of a very large roof. The TV remote didn’t work as the batteries needed to be changed. The bathroom - oh my word - I am shocked someone hasn’t met their death coming out of the shower yet. The shower door is a half swinging glass door. It’s a high step with no handles on the walls to help yourself in or out. Luckily I’m relatively young and mobile - if you aren’t - be warned. The restaurant next to the bar was a two hour experience from seating to the arrival of our food. We ordered a simple burger and chicken sandwich - two hours from start to finish. The positives - the bar staff themselves - fantastic. The grounds are large with many trails. So for a local wedding - it would be a nice venue. But for us, definitely not the 4/5 star experience we were hoping for.

03/06/2025: We were there last week at our Daughters wedding, and to say we were impressed is an understatement. The attention to detail from Thys and Harry was amazing. They guided us and all the guests to different areas of the hotel throughout the day with such ease we hardly realised it. All the young staff were attentive, very professional, and extremely polite. It was such a wonderful few days, and we owe a huge "Thank you" to all the management and all the staff. I would 100% recommend this amazing venue Meg Murphy ❤️

05/05/2025: It was our 3rd time here,all for very special occasions. Highly recommend it. It's not cheap but it's totally worth it . The atmosphere is lovely, the service is very efficient and friendly and the food is divine. We had scallops and carpacio of beef to start, the beef had an Asian sauce it was delicious ! Steak and salmon for mains ,a delicious bottle of vino and some Irish coffee to finish.our waitress was called Anna, and she was smashing! Friendly, informative, and an absolute pleasure. Lesley was the maitre d ,friendly, welcoming, warm,and amusing. We felt so special. Of the 3 times ( all great), this was the best. Certainly made a special occasion even more special, we will remember this for a long time .We will definitely return. Thank you so so much, guys !

03/05/2025: Such a cute spot with amazing vegan seafood options!! My partner even emailed ahead to check if they could accommodate vegan gluten free and they way delivered beyond expectations for us. The waitress was so nice, made us feel so welcome and looked after, and gave us a lovely table even though we realised we had accidentally booked the wrong night and it was already so late for them. She could have easily turned us away and been rude but wasn’t. In fact, all the staff there was lovely. Thank you to Ella and the team in the kitchen making such lovely vegan dishes and creating such a warm atmosphere. We will be back again!

07/04/2025: A great Cheesemongers with a good selection of top quality irish and European cheese. Samples were offered of everything I wanted to try and the lady who owns it is full of knowledge. These gems of independent owned business's are few are far between so it was a delight to find. Unfortunately I didn't eat there this time but the lunches looked incredible and next time I'm back in Ireland it is on my must visit list.

23/11/2024: We had 2 Vegan options with salad. Absolutely lovely. The Coffee was to die for. It's is unsurprisingly a cheese shop as well so we had to purchase some lovely Irish made cheese.

25/04/2025: Delicious lunch! Lovely servers. We had two of the specials: a creamy fish pie and a goat cheese salad. Both were amazing—well cooked, good portions. Friendly atmosphere. Thank you!

21/05/2025: We ordered the roast leg of lamb with gravy and the marinated pork medallions. For dessert, we had cheesecake. Everything was delicious.

05/05/2025: Murphy’s is a great restaurant, well worth a visit. While the prices are slightly higher than in some other places, the portions are absolutely generous, making it excellent value for money. The staff are very helpful and welcoming, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend this place!

15/05/2025: Delightful, really tasty dinner. Seafood chowder was truly hearty and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their plates. Homey inside and airy/calm outside. I’d come back again and again!

27/04/2025: We had a the day two of or wedding at Dannos Bar Dingle. Absolutely lovely venue, great staff and atmosphere. We had the whole space, and they put on a great bbq. I would reccomend this pub for a day two. Also had a great beer garden.

06/05/2025: Both restaurant and bakery were amazing. Great coffee and nice atmosphere - we went every morning to get snacks and drinks and twice to the restaurant while we stayed in Glenbeigh. They do their own sourdough bread/ pizza dough. So the restaurant/ pizza night on the weekends are a big recommendation. Emilie and her team were super friendly and run the place with great effort

20/02/2025: Recently had Sunday lunch here and the food was fantastic. Super views of surrounding countryside added to the experience.
