The best restaurants in Kerry

06/07/2026: Absolutely amazing hotel. Everyone was so helpful and couldn't do enough to accommodate your stay. Highly recommend and a true bit of Irish hospitality.

20/06/2026: We had a wonderful stay at the Killarney Royal Townhouse. The location was absolutely perfect—right in the heart of town and conveniently located for exploring Killarney and many of the area’s top attractions. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Both the breakfast and dinner were excellent, with delicious food and great service. We would highly recommend staying here and would gladly return on our next visit to Ireland!

04/07/2026: We (a group of four Americans on a golf trip) came in on a Saturday night when the home county Kerry football team was playing in the national quarterfinals of their annual championship. The place was absolutely PACKED with die hard Kerry fans. To a person, they could not have been nicer to us! They patiently explained the basics of the game and helped us understand strategy, etc. We left the bar (after an exciting Kerry victory!!) feeling that we had just made 30 new friends in this tiny bar! An experience we will never forget !!

07/06/2026: Fabulous hotel. Perfect location and we had a beautiful room overlooking the marina. Staff were amazing and we were well looked after. Breakfast was perfect 👌 Highly recommend 👌 We would definitely stay here again.

11/03/2026: I had a vegan GF banana chocolate bread (with one other ingredient that I cannot remember!). It was the nicest cake I have had in a very long time. So nice that I have spent the last 10 minutes on google street view finding this place so I know where to go back to! It was delicious. I am neither vegan nor GF. That doesn't matter. Perfect balance of flavours and perfect texture. The coffee was lovely too.

11/08/2026: This place is special. I'd come back here in a heartbeat. Amazing service, dynamite pint of Guinness, and the best atmosphere. Can't recommend enough.

04/07/2026: I don't drink here too often, but it is a nice wee pub. The stout is good and the staff are very nice. It can be a bit busy (it's a small space), but they have outdoor sitting. The only negative there is that there is so much traffic in Killarney, that sitting outside can be off putting.

29/05/2026: We visited the gardens are they are wonderful lush tree ferns and tetrapanax and other exotics I should imagine kids love it as there are dinosaurs carved out of old tree stumps great fun !

23/05/2026: Stopped in to see the gardens and have lunch. Gardens are absolutely beautiful. The Thai food was very tasty. We had several things and all were very good.

13/08/2026: Clean small coffee shop with loads of seating outside and in. Friendly and quick staff and affordable prices. Recommend banana milkshake.

25/08/2026: Quinn’s Pub is always on our list when we visit Ventry. Have been here for food lots of times and it’s always fab.

18/08/2026: We ordered 4 burgers. The waitress asked us to confirm: four burgers? Yes, four. Confirmed, and very nearly sworn on oath. What arrived was one burger and two bowls of soup. A result that takes a certain amount of creativity. The waitress came over to ask whether everything was alright. We said no, and pointed out that the soups weren’t ours. Her response was to burst out laughing — at length, and rudely. The grand finale came with the bill, which featured dishes we had never ordered. Consistent, in fairness: a kitchen that serves at random also bills at random. We only noticed because we went through it line by line. Nobody flagged it, and without that check we’d have paid for the imaginary dishes too. From the other reviews, we gather we’re not the only ones — which is some comfort. It wasn’t bad luck, it’s a system. The place has everything going for it. A pity it uses it all for a different game.

09/05/2026: Wonderful staff, extremely helpful and friendly. That includes at reception, in the restaurant, at breakfast -- everyone. Beautiful, ornate ground floor with period decorations and objects to look at. Tasty dinner in the restaurant, and live music every night. But the room itself needed work. The heating was loud (it had an overhead unit with noisy vents), and one of the lights was broken. The shower was developing mold.

21/05/2026: The hotel is a wonderful place, historic. The food they offer is really good. So far the good things. I asked for a room with sea view and got the information that it will have view. Well. See a picture from my window. I didn't mean that! The rooms are expectable old. Nothing to complain here. But there is no sound isolation. We were able to here everything from the next room. TV, water tap, shower, toilet. Regarding the service. There were three women in service two younger ones, who walk through the restaurant looking to the ground, barely seeing guests contact wishes for drinks or coffee in the morning. The 3rd women, a stronger one, was amazing. She definitely loves her job. It was fun talking with her and getting her recommendations for the order was Gold. Sorry for this review.

14/05/2026: We stayed two nights as a family. The hotel is superb, retaining its original charm, with very large, comfortable, and clean rooms. The restaurant is the only one open and offers good quality food. The staff is friendly. We highly recommend it.

26/07/2026: Great pub. We didnt eat. There's a pool table, drinks were great, service friendly, great atmosphere. Some outdoor tables with brollies for when its raining. Toilets on same floor. No stairs which is important sometimes! Lovely place

23/08/2026: It’s great to eat at a place where the chef clearly cares about the food, the staff are lovely and the views are stunning …. Even more so on a glorious sunny day on the terrace.

15/08/2026: Excellent experience at sunset. We arrived as a family just before my kitchen closed at 9 pm, we were able to order and everything was excellent. I highly recommend it.

21/08/2026: One of the best meals we had in Ireland! Beef bourguignon was well prepared. Also tried the duck breast in raspberry sauce special and seafood cassoulet with prawns and crab claws. Both were delicious.
