13/07/2025: The best catering service in town! The service was seamless from start to finish. Everyone we delt with was so helpful and pleasant. The food was absolutely out of this world, they really go the extra mile with presentation! Will absolutely be returning for future events!

02/06/2025: I booked Catering Tralee for a birthday party in May based on the good reviews I had read about their services. I’m glad I chose them as they delivered great food with excellent service at a reasonable price. I ordered a variety of finger food, salads and hot food. It was all delicious, fresh and well presented. I had lots of leftovers and all guests complimented the food. I had not hired caterers in the past but would highly recommend this business now to anyone planning a party or celebration at home. The owners are professional, punctual and very competent at delivering excellent catering.

17/08/2025: As I live in Ballybunion I didn’t have the pleasure of staying in the beautiful accommodation, but we booked dinner for a party of 20 and we were not disappointed, it was a wonderful experience for all

17/06/2025: Super experience at this B&B. Lovely bright room, huge breakfast with lots of variety, and wonderful hospitality from the hosts. The location is easy walking distance to town and it's set back from the road so we didn't get any traffic noise. I appreciated the communal sitting rooms and the lovely views. Would definitely stay again.

02/08/2025: Five of us had breakfast here today. The food was lovely plus the staff were lovely and friendly. We had a dog with us and they gave him water and were very helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Well done.

09/08/2025: Fabulous clean rooms with lots of space, charm and information. Breakfast was lovely in the room and fresh pastries delivered in the morning. Would recommend. We didn't manage to get a booking for food as the restaurant was fully booked but had a lovely meal nearby. Staff were welcoming helpful and friendly. Great for a couples get away or a traveller looking for some comforts.

09/08/2025: We had a reservation for 8 p.m. and arrived on time. We waited an hour for our starter. And the main course was served at 10 p.m. Well, yes, we're French, and we realized that all the locals were served before us. We were in this city for several days, but we only went to this restaurant once.

29/07/2025: I have emailed the owner but have not received a reply (judging from previous reviews here this seems the be the norm) Not one but two occasions I went to this coffee shop with my kids and felt very unwelcome. The owner is extremely rude towards people with small kids. My son hadn’t even finished his hot chocolate when she took it off him and started cleaning the table telling me they need to be supervised at all times. When i tried to address the situation she fobbed me off. Treats dogs better than humans. Stay away unless you are a single person with no kids. Terrible service. Will not be returning.

26/07/2025: Lovely coffee! Service was slow and felt a frosty atmosphere around the till. Music beat very fast and overstimulating🥹 we had heard this was a fun hang out spot in Tralee but unfortunately we didn’t catch the same vibrancies. I felt it was a very “come or go attitude”. We weren’t sure whether it was table service or collect order at till for dine in. Good cappuccino though!

17/08/2025: I used to eat breakfast here all the time, I hadn't been in 3 / 4 years as I now live in London, I was back for puck, I went in 2 days after puck craving an Irish breakfast but it isn't what it was, its like cutbacks have been made and the quality of the breakfast just isn't there anymore which is an awful pity 😢

18/08/2025: So sadly we were there on a Sunday and Monday, so we didn't get to have the food. But staying in the accommodations was great. Prefect location, you can easily hear music from at least 2 Pubs a night and great for people watching when the Pubs close. Wish we could have tried the food since everyone had really good things to say about it. Next time!

16/08/2025: We tried to get a reservation with no luck. We showed up early and they gave us a table for one hour. The service, food and drinks were top notch. We had appetizers to share, as we had eaten a late lunch. We shared the fried goat cheese with beet purée, blue cheese, pear and pecan salad and the seafood chowder. They gave us bread which appeared to be homemade. Goodness everything was amazing. The chowder was the best we’ve had and the goat cheese is what dreams are made of. Get a reservation and go hungry.

21/07/2025: Great hotel. Yes it is a bit older but it is so charming with the entrance, the library and the dining room. All the staff are so nice and helpful and solved our problem quickly and professionally.

21/07/2025: We recently stayed at The River Island Hotel in Castleisland. We were pleasantly surprised by its old-world grandeur, especially the lobby and hotel bar areas, which truly left us in awe. The public spaces are beautifully maintained, full of character, and set the tone for a unique stay. The hotel bar also serves a great pornstar martini. While the rooms themselves feel more dated than grand—with smaller spaces, lower ceilings, and traditional decor—they have everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's worth noting that parking is conveniently located nearby, even if it's not directly on hotel premises. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the exceptional service. Check-in and check-out were friendly, efficient, and probably the most professional we've ever encountered. The hotel staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Our experience at the restaurant was somewhat mixed. While our waiter seemed a little unsure about our preferences, the food itself was tasty and reasonably priced. At breakfast servers were kind. Food was very basic. In choice and flavor. Ultimately, we enjoyed a good night's rest and found the hotel to offer great value for money. If you appreciate classic interiors and stellar service, and don't mind rooms with a bit of vintage charm, you'll find a lot to love at The River Island Hotel. The magnificent lobby and bar are truly memorable!

13/08/2025: Stopped in for a weekday lunch without a reservation. The Sea Bass with squid ink risotto and the mussels were both delicious. Servings were very generous.

12/08/2025: Excellent seafood restaurant. We had the oysters, fried calamari, and salmon. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented. The place is a bit noisy, but the girl who served us was really nice and friendly. The price was fair.
