The best restaurants in Kerry

21/08/2025: Tips & Improvements A very small café that offers a wide range of food and drinks despite its limited space (approx. 8 square meters of seating area?). We like the concept and the environmental awareness. Badger and Dodo's coffee is really delicious :-) Very friendly staff. Improvements The following point is certainly debatable. But €3.50 for a slice of banana bread, even if it was thickly sliced, is simply too much for us as tourists. Why not reduce the price a bit and sell more? We luckily found you on Google during a break and then went into the shop. We had passed by the shop several times before. Idea: The second sign in front of the shop advertising café and snacks was closed for us ;-) Use the window for further information or a printout/sign of a Google review. That works ;-) It would be great to know the story behind your shop. Perhaps place this in the shop? You could further differentiate yourself from others with a different exterior wall color/signs. Especially with the one in comparison. Much higher quality food compared to other restaurants! If we're ever in the area or in Ireland again, we'll stop by again :-) Please leave me a heart :-)

25/07/2025: Would definitely put this as the top place in Tralee for any planned parties or a bit! Had day 2 of the wedding there and Neil & the lads looked after us excellently!! They had us hooked from the minute we went in the door lastbyear to scope out venues for Day 2. Great areas in McCaffreys and the option to spread out to the yard bar or Sean Ogs is fantastic too. Neil is some operator to manage the lot but every one at the bar is tuned in yo be fair

02/12/2025: I’m a wedding DJ and get to play in Ballyseede Castle quite regularly. Mary and Paul are A class wedding coordinators and things always run very smoothly on the day. There is always a great atmosphere around the venue and the staff here are very sociable with guests.

02/12/2025: After viewing a few venues before, we knew from the moment we arrived at Ballyseede Castle that this was where we wanted to get married. The venue is absolutely stunning, but what truly made it exceptional was the staff. From our first tour to planning the final details, they were incredible. The bridal suite where we got ready was massive and beautiful, which made the morning feel so relaxed and special. The Belfry, where we had our ceremony, was also amazing and created the perfect setting. They made sure both we and our guests were having an amazing time, and the entire day ran like clockwork. They worked with all our vendors so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Many of our guests also told us it was the best wedding dinner they had ever had. We can’t thank the team enough, and we will definitely be back for a visit in the future. To anyone considering booking Ballyseede, you won’t regret it.

29/05/2026: We visited the gardens are they are wonderful lush tree ferns and tetrapanax and other exotics I should imagine kids love it as there are dinosaurs carved out of old tree stumps great fun !

23/05/2026: Stopped in to see the gardens and have lunch. Gardens are absolutely beautiful. The Thai food was very tasty. We had several things and all were very good.

19/05/2026: Foley's is an exceptional hotel in Killlarny Ireland! Celebrating 77 years. Staff really took great care of us, so appreciate it! Food was delicious, we had breakfast added. So worth it. Do stay there if you go to Killlarny, such a great location as well!

06/08/2025: Beautiful people baking Beautiful bread! I sampled their brown bread whilst eating in a Cahirsiveen and it was delicious! Eventually found out where it came from and called here this morning to be greeted by two lovely people! I cannot wait to get home and eat it!

17/06/2026: Overpriced with below average food. The chicken was hard and the breadcrumb coating was non existent. The soup was very salty. The drinks were okay. Not recommending or returning. The rude and arrogant reply speaks for itself. I hope you can learn from criticism, I am pretty happy to be avoiding your spot, thank goodness for my sensibility in avoiding the overtly confident yet mediocre. :)

12/06/2026: Fresh black sole and halibut. The black sole was the most delicious fish I've had in a long time. Sauteed with lime lemon & butter. Bravo.

09/06/2026: Tatler Jack was great. We stayed two nights and the room was cozy and fit our needs. The pub had great food (especially the included breakfast) and the drinks were plentiful and priced right. The nightly music was fun and surprisingly not too loud in the room above. The location can't be beat and is close to everything. If you want a fun spot in the heart if Killarney, Tatler Jack is a fine option.

21/05/2026: Beautiful guesthouse with nice rooms. At the beginning, I had to ask for coffee and tea facilities myself. Live performances every evening until 10 pm. On Saturday nights, the live performances last until after midnight. Other guests sometimes showed little respect for the night's rest (during 2 of the 4 nights), but that is not the hotel's fault. Very good breakfast served by a hardworking woman. The heating in the room was usually not on, and the bath only provided hot water if you turned on a weak stream... Several dogs in the neighborhood, one of which barked quite often, even very late. Good location for walks. Kenmare has everything: bus connection to Killarney, three supermarkets, and many pubs and restaurants, a good bookshop with walking maps.

23/03/2026: I work on the road and eat out very often and am limited due to being allergic to wheat. But my god this gluten free pizza is one of the best gluten free pizzas ive ever got while eating out! I highly recommend!!

21/10/2025: Visited on a quiet day in October. Lovely place to relax and have lunch. Huge selection of wonderful cakes. Location stunning

29/04/2026: We we stayed for one night in mid-April. This is a nice stop-over along the Dingle Way. The two hosts were friendly, welcoming, helpful and informative. Although on the small side, the rooms were bright, sunny, clean and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent and the trick in preparation for long day of hiking. The packed lunch prepared by the hosts, was particularly good (i.e., goat cheese and sun dried tomato). I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there if I ever return to Anascaul.

30/11/2025: Visited while camping in Killarney. To echo many of the other statements, the fish is awesome - I’m not usually a big pickerel fan and it was amazing. Chips are mid, the service was a little on the unfriendlier side, and the price of food was quite high for what you get; however, the view of the water is nice and it’s probably your best option for dining in the area.

06/01/2026: Chicken here, always makes me really sick!!.. The chicken is definitely not chicken!!!! I've never been so sick!!!!

03/01/2026: It was perfect and we were a group of 6. The staff was lovely and attentive, answering any question we had and making good suggestions (get the garlic potatoes). The ramen was delicious and so was the Tofu Katsu Curry. It was a great experience, will go again and would recommend.
