04/04/2024: Myself and my wife ate here last night I can honestly say the food and service was second to none, we spend a lot of time in Kenmare as we have family down here and this restaurant is up there with the best.

08/03/2024: We didn't want to leave this fabulous place. Attention to detail was impressive throughout. Incredibly comfortable bed, quality coffee and coffee maker, the fluffiest and biggest of towels, ethical soap and shampoo bars, easy and free parking, lovely bathroom tiling, fan, extra bedding if required, the list goes on! Breakfast was superb. We didn't have chance to try out the dinner but we will most certainly be back to do so! Thank you so much.

04/11/2024: The Tan Yard served an amazing Tomahawk steak. The starters, especially the scallops, were delicious. As a joke, I ordered bubble gum ice cream for dessert, but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was not great, though. They forgot my beer order and also didn't check on us, even though our glasses were empty at one point and our plates were all cleaned off. We sat around for a long time waiting for wait staff to walk by.

20/09/2024: Wow! Wow! Wow! We were in Kenmare to celebrate our daughter-in-law’s birthday. We came in without a reservation and they were super accommodating. I had the duck egg roll which was a starter special. The chef made it into a main and our waiter suggested the au gratin potatoes as a side. The duck egg rolls were served halved on a cabbage, bean sprouted peanut salad with a sweet chili dressing. The au gratin potatoes were done with cream that was steeped with rosemary. Absolutely incredible. I would eat it 7 days a week. My husband, son and daughter-in-law had the roast chicken special which they devoured. Gastropub food at its finest!

16/09/2024: We were offered the special - prawns. They arrived and were so leathery and over cooked they were inedible. We returned them and ordered a replacement meal, ribs which were very sweet, but tender. We had expected some recognition by way of one drink off the bill, but this did not occur. Disappointing.

29/10/2024: Fantastic meal, service. Best dine in spot in Killarney for burgers and chicken. My wife tucked into the chicken before got chance take a picture.

13/10/2024: We were members of a tour group. The "Towers" was ideally placed close to the centre of Killarney. Our luggage was received and distributed to our various rooms to appreciable efficiency. Whilst our room did not have what could be called a "view", it was well equipped and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the bath - jacuzzi. Our first breakfast experience was equally pleasing. We went to the dining room earlier than our group was due to visit. A free day was requiring our catching a local bus service to visit friends in Dingle. The maitre de understood our plight and found us a table. His actions were very much appreciated. However on two other occasions we approached breakfast nearer the time scheduled for our sitting for breakfast. On both occasions we were confronted by a lady who somewhat shortly told us it was not our time, wait somewhere else until it arrived. We followed that instruction and on time went back to the dining area reception. There we were accepted, by another member of staff, and shown to the groups alloted tables. We were more than surprised, not to mention very disenchanted, to find other members of our group already sitting and eating their breakfasts! Was it that one member of staff just being obsessively perdantic about timings when others were more relaxed? It should be noted it appears the dining arrangements for touring parties are dealt with on a buffet style basis. The arrangement being supervised by members of staff behind the food heating lamps serving the offerings. It appears our group was allotted the last dining time slot. While no doubt members of serving staff were understandably keen to finish work, there were two occasions when the severy was poorly staffed. On the last of those the single member of staff appeared to give up, there was no one to help him. On that particular evening there were four individual containers - gravy, curry sauce, and ? None of them were labelled, I had to ask a member of the "floor walking staff" if they could identify the sauce I needed. For an establishment listed as being Four Star I really do not consider the dining arrangements we experienced warranted that number of stars.

07/08/2024: I enjoyed an excellent dinner choosing the tagliatelle with shrimp and lobster, it was really very good, the pudding for dessert was very tasty, special mention for the very professional waiter for his young age.

22/07/2024: What a fantastic place. The cleanliness, helpfulness, uniqueness, calmness - all excellent - not to mention the food and great way to have breakfast in your room. Great place to explore the area with so much to do and see in South Kerry.

30/10/2024: Mediocre. Was given a glowing recommendation but was disappointed. Had the hake fish and chips the batter was oily, with an strong aftertaste and the fish dry inside. Fries not great either. Was hoping for more in a fishing port

19/10/2024: An outstanding restaurant with convivial staff and delicious food. This is clearly a hometown favorite by the number of people there and for an obvious reason, superb food and wonderful dining experience.

09/11/2024: A very nice bar and restaurant in a great location in Dingle. I had the Roast Beef Striploin and had the Beef Burger. Food and drinks were lovely, and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

04/11/2024: DO NOT eat here. The seafood chowder sent my husband into the hospital with severe food poisoning. The pizza was thin crust & tasted worse than a grocery microwave pizza. 0/5 stars for sure!!

16/10/2024: Maddens - the best coffee in Tralee, open and warm people, cozy atomosphere, music and design! I am very glad and greatful that Maddens hosts such events as the charity flea market and workshops. Thanks for this to Ash and Rebekah! Maddens is a magnet for creative and free people who love good coffee and bright life. I do love this place.

05/10/2024: Yesterday, I witnessed a customer being treated very poorly. A woman politely asked if she could bring a snack for her baby, but was denied, even though the café doesn't serve food suitable for infants. The owner became angry, refused to listen, and acted dismissively, even waving her hand in the customer’s face before walking away. It was a shocking display of unprofessionalism, and after that experience, I won’t be returning. Would not recommend.

27/10/2024: Lovely family meal in The Sacre Coeur last night. Very busy as always, never been when it's wasn't. Food was outstanding. Always made feel welcome.

16/10/2024: Return visit to the Sacre Coeur during a long weekend in Sneem and surrounds. Team are great, setting is comfortable, and the food was excellent. Again, no hesitation in recommending a visit.

08/11/2024: We spent our honeymoon weekend at Kenmare Park Hotel, now under new ownership but with a deep respect for its history. The new artwork is stunning, like being in a private gallery. The service was incredible; the staff were wonderful and clearly passionate about their work. Dinner at Landline was fantastic, and Dillon's cocktails were exceptional. What a treat of a weekend! The views over Kenmare Bay are beautiful, and just a short walk from the hotel puts you in the heart of charming Kenmare village. The spa was excellent as well. We'll definitely be back!

07/10/2024: Such a friendly welcome by the manager. So hospitable. Gave us a guided tour of his beautiful hotel. It made us feel so at home. We would definitely recommend a stay here. The view is amazing 😍
