The best restaurants in Kerry

31/07/2025: Lovely place to stay. Our room was in the west wing which is a newer addition. The room was elegantly decorated and spacious. The bathroom was quite large including the shower. There were many places available to sit and relax. You can also walk to Balleyseede Forest. The breakfast is delicious. There were three kinds of croissants and 3 different kinds of muffins. Everyone we tried was delicious. They also have cured meats, smoked salmon and cheese. You also order a hot dish. There is fruit, yogurt and cereals. It's a wonderful spread. They seem to host a lot of weddings as well, it looks like a beautiful place to have a wedding.

30/06/2025: This is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed! Everyone working here was delightful, the grounds and rooms were gorgeous, and the food was delicious as well! We loved getting to see the dogs running around the grounds, they were super friendly! Staff was super helpful for any questions we had. The location was great as well- not too far from Ring of Kerry, which is why we wanted to stay in the area, but far enough away that we felt nice and relaxed staying there.

24/07/2025: Wonderful hotel. We liked it. The food is delicious, the beer is so wonderful - I haven't drunk anything for 9 years. But it's so good - that I drank it with great desire!!!!

12/08/2025: I loved the decor in the lobby, the room was nice, and the staff was phenomenal! I highly recommend this as a place to stay.

30/07/2025: Very nice hotel, very well located with a nice bar and delicious breakfast with lots of choice, the only downside is the very dark room but nothing to spoil the stay. Very pleasant and friendly staff

12/07/2025: Its ok for a Supervalu. Dont seem to carry the same offers as any Garveys Supervalu. They have extended recently. In the summer expect ques and cranky staff.

07/08/2025: We stopped in for dinner. The staff were so courteous and friendly. We both enjoyed a really nice dinner and dessert in a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area. There is ample parking nearby just by the Aldi supermarket.

04/08/2025: We just walked out of this Restaurant. I made a booking for for a family of 5. When we arrived the restaurant was busy but not packed. We were seated at a lovely spot by the window with a view of the church across the road. It was fifteen minutes before we got menu's, husband had to ask twice!. We ordered and were left sitting for an hour, can you imagine the scenario with 3 young hungry children😱. At one point they gave us a bread basket with the presumption that food was imminent, it wasn't, so we eventually left. Honestly we were so disgusted. We don't eat out often so it was going to be a treat. Why take a booking that you can't manage, I can only put it down to greed. Be careful with reviews and ask locals before you decide where to dine because internet reviews can be very deceiving.

01/08/2025: Food , wine ,staff , and scenery - All amazing- felt really welcome here .Staff so friendly . Prawns and chowder were excellent. Can’t fault it . Loved the dining domes outside too - will definitely be back .

05/06/2025: Disappointed. There was a wait between receiving the main and the side dish. The Monkfish was lovely, however the vegetables were Ratatouille, which was a surprise, the potatoes were reheated and overly seasoned with salt, they should have been freshly cooked. They offered to replace the vegetables, but I just wanted to finish the meal and leave.

25/07/2025: Would definitely put this as the top place in Tralee for any planned parties or a bit! Had day 2 of the wedding there and Neil & the lads looked after us excellently!! They had us hooked from the minute we went in the door lastbyear to scope out venues for Day 2. Great areas in McCaffreys and the option to spread out to the yard bar or Sean Ogs is fantastic too. Neil is some operator to manage the lot but every one at the bar is tuned in yo be fair

05/06/2025: What a brilliant bar and staff. Neil aka the flash was very helpful and gave us all the best tips. He even left the bar to check out what live music was going in the surrounding bars.

20/07/2025: Amazing hotel near Tralee. Rooms are comfortable, restaurant on site has every staple. But the highlight is the view from the terrace. Did yoga on the from lawn; very relaxing.

16/07/2025: We enjoyed a first class experience at Ballyroe Hotel. We were traveling with a young lady who has special needs and Megan (at front desk) was absolutely wonderful and most accommodating given the situation. Megan went out of her way to accommodate the young lady and that first impression truly made a difference. Thank you Sharon S

08/08/2025: Fantastic meal. The marinated chicken was delicious. Stayed afterwards to listen to a bit of live music. The owners were very nice and sorted a taxi for us to head back to our B&B afterwards.

02/07/2025: Great hotel, location is right next to the golf course. The family that operates the hotel are excellent, very kind and personable. Highly recommend staying here if playing Bally.

12/08/2025: i'm from Italy and me and my family had dinner at the restaurant last week and, even though my mother and I don't speak english very well, we want to write this review because we had a great time and the romanian waiter was very kind and friendly with us.

11/08/2025: We came for dinner and were served by a Spanish woman, Nadia, who was very pleasant and courteous. She recommended the mussels and the meat (beef and Guinness pie large), and everything was delicious. She also recommended places to visit nearby. A great choice!

07/07/2025: A must-visit for tourists who want to be hosted by Ireland. The food is deliciously good. For the kids, fish (without bones, not nuggets pretending to be fish, but real fish) with chips. My husband and I took the beef. I absolutely recommend it! 🍀
