16/06/2026: We had our day two here and I would recommend. They had the place all nicely set up for us. We were able to get food in as they didn't provide any. The cocktails were great and all the staff very friendly. I would come again next time I am in Tralee. Flash is very hospitable.

05/05/2026: The best craic in Tralee, great music, fantastic atmosphere, amazing cocktails. Fabulous bar staff ,lead by Flash.... He's excellent at his job, a real people person, couldn't be more helpful and so funny ,plus a wiz at the cocktail's ... like Tom Cruise style 🍹🍹😍😍😍 also Luke one of the bartenders was a lovely lad ,super helpful. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Tralee.

19/10/2026: Very Nice Place, all cooked to order, they messed up my Burger, gave me a plain one, nothing on it, instead of one with sauce onions and lettuce. Maybe a glitch but 7 euro for it. Make sure you check before you eat.

22/09/2026: Great food. Gentleman working the counter was able to guide husband on gluten free food While we had lunch, the breakfast menu looked great for GF food

21/09/2026: There always good atmosphere in Tom McCarthys Bar in Castleisland its family run bar, its was very busy today Kerry were playing Tyrone All Ireland Football Simi Final, and great kerry victory over tyrone today, roll on all ireland football final 2 weeks time there also fine big beer garden out back.. ideal for birthday hen and stag parties......

04/07/2026: Was so glad we chose this hotel. I was a hot wary with the location but we were so welcomed from the moment we walked into when we walked out. Glad we listened to recommendations that the hotel food was gorgeous and ended up eating the two nights we were there. Kids loved it so much that the eldest said she's going to remember the room number and ask for that room when she's an adult

22/06/2026: Was visiting for a wedding and the location was perfect for what I needed. The room was pretty darn good, though the toilet was a little flakey when it wanted to flush. Receptionist was excellent, really helpful and informative, made it really easy to relax straight away because I trusted I was in good hands

09/10/2026: After almost 5 years of coming here as a veggie, I finally have to say something. My mother in law loves this place and books it every time they come to visit us from Dublin. The vegetarian option has not changed in those 5 years. Each time we go I smile and politely order the pearl barley courgette cake and silently cry inside. It was alright the first time, nothing special or that I would come back for. And every time MIL says “I’ve booked the Lime Tree” I pray they will have changed the ONE veggie option. But they never do. I’m not a complainer generally…I’ve given so many chances but after 5 years I have to say something. We are booked again in a few weeks time and I thought…will I dare check the menu in the hope…but as I knew it would be…it’s the same boring veggie options. The only veggie starter contains goats cheese which I cannot stand and I don’t like eating dairy products anyway. So every time, I opt for the soup. I can make soup at home. I come to a restaurant to be wowed by something I wouldn’t make at home…it’s honestly soul destroying when everyone around you is tucking into hearty foods like roasts with mash and gravy and sticky wings…and your stuck with soup and pearl barley cake over, and over, and over again. I don't mean to be impolite but any chef worth his mettle is doing INCREDIBLE things with veg these days. There are literally HUNDREDS of amazing vegetables to make things from. Why are you leaving us out in the cold? We want hale and hearty foods too! What about a mushroom pie with mash and greens and a lovely rich gravy? You do know how to make a non meat gravy don’t you? What about something fabulously miso glazed? We like sticky glazes too! Frankly the tapenade at the beginning is the best part of the meal for me. Maybe I should ask for a main course portion of bread and tapenade next time…I’d enjoy that more. Please, please PLEASE!!! It’s time to move on from that bloody pearl barley cake guys!!! You must be bored stiff cooking it by now. Time to get creative. All the worlds governments and scientists are talking about how ecologically damaging and unsustainable animal agriculture is, not to mention the ethics of killing others. I understand this is Kerry and its sheep and cow country but the veggie/vegan customers deserve better. I look forward to the few nights out a year where I don’t have to cook but this one is always bittersweet for me because I end up feeling like an afterthought every single time.

29/09/2026: The restaurant has unfortunately declined significantly. The management and service staff seem unfriendly. It's also a shame that birthdays are no longer honored! The restaurant used to be so good. It's a real pity! The high prices no longer justify the quality.

10/10/2026: Really kind shop owner, delicious food, and cute atmosphere!

03/10/2026: Now under new management, but the standard remains high. (Visited again on 25 September.) Lovely selection of cheese, breads, dips and patisserie. Breakfast, mid-morning/afternoon and lunch catered for. Quality and service are excellent. It's best to access the store on foot. Tables indoor (upstairs) and some converted milk churns outside to cater for people. Probably one of the nicest delicatessen in Munster, let alone Tralee.

04/08/2026: Lovely traditional bar that has live music in the evenings. If you are staying around West Kerry for a week or so buy the West Kerry Live magazine(on shop counters) for €1 as it gives all the activities in the area over a 2 week period.

12/08/2026: For people who seek halal friendly restaurant the chicken here is halal. The staff are welcoming and they also recommend other halal options like seafood and vegetarian. I request my meal to be mild since I'm sensitive to chilli food and they accepte my request. Even when it's mild I enjoyed my meal. Plus the portion was fulfilling.

12/08/2026: Indian food pretending to be Mexican by adding a tortilla. It was good, but calling it Mexican is comical. Even the “salsa” wasn’t tomato based. Nice staff and decent drinks. A meal we will remember and chuckle about for some time.

14/09/2026: Great restaraunt affordable and great atmosphere

29/08/2026: We visited The Golden Nugget today after a long trip and had a totally enjoyable experience. The staff was so friendly and fast, and the food was great. The roast lamb and the ribs both were unbelievably tender, and the burger was simply delicious. Summing up, we were totally satisfied.

15/10/2026: I have visited multiple times. The food here is priced well, the food comes in large quantities and is authentic. The Xiao Long Bao are incredible and the best mains dishes (in my opinion) is the kung pao chicken.

24/09/2026: It was a bit crowded on Wednesday because the jazz band was playing, so I had to stand to watch them for a while. I was actually about to leave, but I’m really glad I didn’t because the band was amazing. The place itself is super cozy and has a great atmosphere. I also ended up meeting a couple there, and we had such a fun time together. I’d definitely recommend checking it out, especially on a night when the jazz band is playing.

30/09/2026: A good and lively restaurant -- packed with people on a September evening -- but not so loud that conversation could not be heard. My chicken and mashed potato entree was delicious and beautifully plated with beans and bacon. Others in our party ordered steak and it was fine but maybe not the best thing on the menu. Everyone had the apple/berry crumble for dessert and enjoyed it. Service was slow but pleasant. The restaurant was crowded, so that is understandable. All servers were gracious and hard-working.

10/09/2026: A must go in Killarney. Great food and very friendly staff. The atmosphere is ver relaxing.

02/09/2026: Visited this place few weeks back. Staff were friendly and amazing. Food was top notch ,loved the braised pulled beef baguette. I still long to have it.
