20/12/2025: Myself & a friend stayed there 18/12/2025.. We were there to see an audience with Steven Gerrard..Had a meal first, the staff were great, very helpful & friendly.. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location..

13/12/2025: I had a wonderful time at the Gleneagle. The staff are friendly, the venue is well organised, and the entertainment is world class. The sausages were delicious.

03/10/2025: Wow. The staff here are just amazing, very thoughtful, caring, and professional. They should be highly commended. The food is just exceptional. I did not stay here but I had dinner here and I am blown away. I will definitely return to Ballygarry. 5 star effortlessly.

09/06/2026: This hotel is only facilitating weddings and events. If you are couples they don't want to know. We stayed on Friday and Saturday night. We were told because of a wedding Friday night we had to eat at 6:30pm in the bar. Fair enough we facilitated their request. Saturday we went in for lunch and were told we would be waiting at least an hour for lunch because of a 100 person funeral that were in. Needless to say we went into the village and had a lovely lunch and a few drinks. Lovely setting for a hotel but not very accommodating. Maybe just set yourself as an event destination rather than a couples hotel.

02/04/2026: Easily our favourite little spot in Oval, authentic, chilled and the right side of shabby. Great drinks, tasty snacks, lovely jazz nights. Probably not one for rouge chino wearers with Farage on speed dial, but for the rest of us in this lovely bit of London, it feels just right. Don't change a thing :)

31/05/2026: Nice little hotel. Located right on the main road. Tourists partying until 3 a.m., constant truck and bus traffic make for a very noisy night. To top it all off, directly opposite is the local wheelbarrow vendor who starts loading his wheelbarrows with bricks from a distance of 10 meters at 5 a.m. Surely he's getting revenge on the revelers. It's a shame because the girls put in a lot of effort.

25/05/2026: Our golf group stayed at McSweeny Arms and we loved it!! Kelly Anne and her staff were the best. Cant imagine staying anywhere else. Rioms were prefect and the breakfast was first class! Red Breast nightcaps were a hit as well. Eight grumpy ole men absolutely loved it!! tc

06/04/2026: I had an amazing experience at V&J. The view was absolutely incredible and made the whole stay even more special. What really stood out were the little details — everything was thoughtfully arranged and added a unique touch that you don’t often find. The kindness and warm welcome from the cooples made a huge difference as well. They were attentive, friendly, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. 07/06/2026: Myself and 4 friends had a meal in this restaurant last night and all I can say is wow. Everything from start to finish was outstanding. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and it was such good value for money. I would highly recommend this restaurant. 10/10. We will be back.

28/05/2026: Just passing through town, saw this on the map and wanted to try it. I was surprised to see how absolutely delicious the food looked and even further surprised that I had the best lasagna I've ever had. It was hard to pick what to eat as everything sounded so good. The appetizers I had were also amazing, bread and vegetable soup and fried brie. I definitely recommend this place, and am sad to say that I can't come here more often since I'm just a tourist.

28/10/2025: Bad service expensive food never coming back that’s for sure

26/10/2025: Ordered the piri piri chicken burger described as chicken breast in panko breadcrumbs, sounded delicious and I stupidly presumed it was home made from the elaborate description, it was not, it was basically a highly processed birds eye style chicken burger in batter, dry bun with a scraping of tasteless, what I presume was piri piri and a leaf of lettuce, that was it, there were plenty cheapest of the cheap frozen chips and some weird tomato and onion salad, €19.00, absolute rip off, was basically cheap chipper food done badly. If I go to a restaurant I expect something I can't make from the freezer at home, would not recommend. My friend did have the stir fry which she said was nice hense the 2 stars.

11/05/2026: Nice atmosphere, but the food is way too sweet, to the point you can only taste the sugar, not any natural flavour. They also forgot to bring me the drink I ordered.
