The best restaurants in Kerry

06/02/2026: This was my second time ordering the flame dog. The first time was just before closing time so the lack of tortilla chips supposed to with hot dog was missing. So today I went back at 5 pm. I ordered the flame dog again. This time the amount of taco sauce was laughable, a bare bit on one corner,and again no tortilla chips. The taco mince was lukewarm which i didn't figure until after I went back and said it about the sauce and tortilla chips,they gave me more taco sauce but said they had no tortilla chips,which the hotdog needs for texture to an otherwise mushy dish. How do they not have tortilla chips on a Friday at 5pm. Or are the tortilla chips non existent? I'm sure they are apart of the 8.50 price. So if they're not giving you what is advertising they need to either reduce the price or remove the tortilla from the menu. The chef looked like he didn't care when he was told. The waitress was no bother.

03/03/2026: The Sneem hotel experience was beyond our expectations. Breathtaking views from the deluxe balcony suite, and only a short stroll on the grounds to seaweed barrel baths. Absolutely stunning.

23/01/2026: Had a fabulous stay here. We'd booked for 2 nights and stayed for 4! The hotel was closed but we were able to stay in a dog friendly, self catering apartment which was perfect. Big comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and big bathrooms with great showers. Spotlessly clean apartment and the grounds were immaculate. Lovely little walk through the grounds into the village. Really good value for money. Gorgeous beach about half an hour away, we stopped at Staigue ring fort on the way back. Would like to make this an annual winter trip!

25/11/2025: Enchanting spot—loved the candlelit vibes and fire place. We missed the rush, so didn’t get to see it at its peak, but I imagine it’s great.

23/11/2025: Kennedy stands out among the several bars available in the area. The candlelit ambiance, the snug corner (10/10), the music, the cocktails and the overall vibe attracts those looking for a quiet, talkative night among good friends

17/03/2026: I recently stayed at Randles Hotel in Killarney and overall had a good experience. The hotel itself is lovely, with convenient parking which made our stay much easier. Our room was nice, although it was a bit cold at times. On the positive side, the bathroom was beautiful and very well maintained. A special mention goes to Justin at reception, who was absolutely amazing. He was so kind, welcoming, and went out of his way to help us sort everything out he really made a difference to our stay. Unfortunately, our experience at breakfast was not as pleasant. Aziz, who was working there, seemed quite stressed and made us feel a bit unwelcome. On top of that, we were overcharged for breakfast and had to go to reception ourselves to resolve the issue, which wasn’t ideal. Overall, it’s a good hotel with great facilities and some excellent staff, but there’s definitely room for improvement in the breakfast service.

08/03/2026: Upon entering the hotel, I initially thought: okay, maybe it will actually be quite nice. The lobby smelled pleasantly of the aroma diffuser, and for a brief moment, I was truly hopeful. But this good first impression was unfortunately shattered extremely quickly. The first room we were given was simply a disaster. It was completely dark, dirty, had stains on the carpet, and the view outside was just depressing. Honestly, I immediately felt like I'd landed in some run-down, neglected dive, not a supposedly four-star hotel. At least the receptionist was friendly enough to offer us another room, and that one was somewhat better. The second room also had plenty of unacceptable issues. The bedsheets had yellow stains, which was truly disgusting. The furniture is ancient and looks completely worn out. On top of that, there wasn't even a refrigerator or a safe in the room. For a hotel that claims to be four stars, this is simply embarrassing. The only positive thing I can say is that the bathroom was modern. That was actually the best thing about the whole room, and unfortunately, almost the only positive thing. Breakfast was another disappointment. Truly awful. I can only advise everyone: do not book this hotel with breakfast included; it's absolutely not worth it. Everything seemed cheap, uninspired, and as if they were cutting corners on every single detail. It simply had nothing to do with a pleasant hotel breakfast, but rather with the feeling that they wanted to spend as little as possible on the guest. On top of that, both the hotel in general and our room were extremely dusty. Honestly, this hotel doesn't deserve four stars. You can put the nicest-smelling perfumes in the lobby all you want, but if the rest is so disappointing, it doesn't matter. A modern bathroom alone can't save a dirty, dusty room with stained sheets, old furniture, and a breakfast you'd rather forget. For me, the whole experience was a huge disappointment, and I definitely wouldn't come back.

26/10/2025: Very much recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in Killarney. The rooms are nice, clean, and cozy. The toiletries were replaced daily. There's a decent variety for breakfast available and plenty of food provided. Location was great and walking distance to the bus/ train stations and the restaurants and shops in town. It's also easy to get to meeting points if you're taking a tour. The staff is absolutely amazing and friendly and helpful. I lost something here and they were able to ship it back to me internationally.

23/09/2025: Best Night of sleep I've had in weeks. Beds are so comfortable. Best shower I've had in weeks. And such nice service all around. Everyone is so friendly. Definitely recommend.

12/11/2025: Full Irish and Chilli scrambled eggs were great. Pleased to see us and very efficient. Just what was needed.

31/01/2026: I didn't stay at the hotel; we went to the gardens for €9.50, which I think is a rip-off. There are much cheaper or even free places in Ireland that are far more worthwhile. It looks like Jurassic Park after the dinosaurs have escaped. Completely neglected; if it were better maintained, it would be much more worthwhile. And it's a maze; we got lost several times. Best regards

07/12/2025: Had another fantastic stay , from start to finish it was luxurious, the comfort and warmth of this place will not be matched , the food again was just amazing , couldn’t recommend this place enough , this place operates on high standards for everything they do , top class . Looking forward to another start again soon

05/01/2026: As a local, this is my favourite coffee. No mocha in all of Ireland compares for me. The staff are always so friendly, they know my order when I arrive and always so nice to my dog who is addicted to their treats.

14/09/2025: Such a handy little drive thru especially in the rain. Coffee was so tasty and possibly one of the nicest chocolate croissants I've ever had.

01/12/2025: September 2025 Coziest pub in Ireland that we stumbled upon on our bike tour. The owner was amazing and let us pitch our tent in a field nearby for the night. Can also recommend the café in the same building.
